It depends on how you want to look at it. On the notebook terrain, if you are considering cost, AMDs are your best bet. If performance is your priority Intel has the best and the most energy efficient processors. Here Intel has no competition really. However, on the desktop front, i would always go for an AMD. |

i have been using torrents since day one. movies, books, iso files, know you can stop and resume your download after say like one week! i am a good customer o! starcomms no fit bar me. moreover i know the computer from which they intrude . i don block the computer. |

if starcomms really wants to be a called a 3G network(EVDO is 3G), then they should maintain download speed minimum of about 100kB/s or 800kbps 24hrs just like MTN |

windows 7 is vista service pack 3. i don't see any remarkable improvement in performance. vista can be tweaked to give the same UI as windows 7. i have had to reformat my vista system three times. this happens when i load it with all my favorite apps, then problems setting. and why internet explorer keeps crashing, i don't understand. |

its true. why do we need kaspersky, norton or mcAfee to make our pc safe? so windows defender or firewall or MRT is nor smart enough to handle malware or viruses. is it not possible to have built into the os package a very strong security suite? |

thanks bigrovar, i was able to run the live cd.here's my screen shot. now, if i want to dual boot ubuntu and vista, can i install directly from the ubuntu desktop by clicking install or i would need to partition my hard drive first? is the partitioning software included in the cd that would automatically do the partitioning for me? i have two hard drive, i want to dedicate one to ubuntu. i noticed that my webcam and bluetooth didn't work, well that would be another problem to solve. and my starcomms data card, scanner etc
