We didn’t move to America and all of a sudden decide to abandon all traditional values in place of “wokeness” like they love to insinuate.

After you’ve had a few conversations with them, you’ll quickly come to realization that if they had their way, the country you moved to will rapidly adopt the negative aspects of the country you moved away from because of the kind of policies they support.

There’s something to be said for adopting the best aspects of each system but they don’t want to hear that.

As an aside - There is a limit to how far bottom power can get you, especially if you are in a role that has some technicality. I have seen this happen as well. You suddenly find yourself without the foundation required to have an understanding of what is going on and overly dependent on subordinates who may not have enough knowledge. Recipe for disaster. You will make a boo boo that no one can cover up.

Federal Universities in Nigeria churn out massively ignorant and unenlightened graduates that simply crammed and regurgitated textbooks or cheated their way through. Most of them in the highly desirable courses only got admitted by offering sex or money as bribes or they had nepotistic or political connections. It's not just talk, there's video evidence AND more importantly, everyone knows it from experience and observation.

That Nigeria is the Poverty Capital of the World is no surprise given the quality of Federal University education in that country.

Well said. I have turned down remote work public speaking all because I want to be private. The last one I turned down was less than 3 months ago. I saw the videos on TikTok/Instagram and looking at the ladies that spoke, I felt this pain knowing I could have been one of them. Though my reason for turning down the last one was valid, but can you imagine the benefit that would have come with speaking at that event?
