The removal of subsidy on pms has generated a lot of controvercies. It seems to me that the government is seeing something that the people are not seeing or vice-versa . However the subsidy is now removed. What are the projected gains to the government and loss to the people?

Why dont you skeptists just apply a bit of common sense by looking out for the fulfilment or otherwise of these prophecies before you comment. Remember the pastor's prophecy about the south/south millitant's problem which came to fulfilment. Be careful

You people are taking the wind out of my sail!? My own belief is that the world was created by God and He is the one sustaining it. My reference is the bible.

@manmustwac: i am not a religious biggot but i have a deep feeling that there is more to life than meets the eyes. How can all these things exist without a common reason. Live to me has the main purpose of bringin expected returns to its owner. The expected return and my role in it is what am searching for.

So i should eat, drink , make money,marry , pass on my genes and die.

please let me make myself a little clearer, all believers in almost all religions of the world have made several and sometimes definit claims about life and its purpose. if theists are so sure what are atheists saying or should one just accept the theists claim and close the case ? i think a balanced view of both sides will help better or so i think .

I have discovered through my interractions with atheists in general that there is a question they dread and will do anything to avoid. i have severally posted this question and the atheists would rather ignor or trivialise it. The question is why are we here on earth? what is the purpose of our existence? I am still asking this same question now if any of them would dare to answer me lucidly and in simple tetms.

@09999:GOD bless you. i have further questions for them: Jesus was baptised in river jordan,must we all be baptised in river jordan to have a valid baptism, afterall thats where John the baptist himself did it in the bible? 2. who baptised John the baptist himself, or is he in hell now since he was not baptised because there is no biblical record of it? how many people did Jesus baptised out of the multitude that belived him? were his own disciples baptised? since the people of the bible were baptised in natural bodies of water it then means that any immassion in baptismal pool or swimming pool is not valid abi? you see people of God, God did not make us like robbots, He made us rational beings who could think and follow Him with their minds working. A lot of things were implied in the scripture that we need to apply our God given common sense to understand and adopt. God does not want us to follow in with our heart closed but instead He delights to see how we apply our hearts to attaining the knowledge of Him. let me pause here a little to see who will dare to answer my questions.

^^^nooo! because goats and other animals you mentioned are for a basic purpose, to be eaten. so why am i here? if i am to just reproduce and die then life will be meaningless. if i contribute to the develppment of human race so that they can continue to procreate &after procreation then they procreate agian!? it is meaningless if that is the way it is.

most of this new generation church people always want to delve into issues they have no bisiness or knowledge about. Before you continue to talk about any doctrinal or biblical issues who amongst you know how the library or TA BIBLIA or in simple english the bible as we have it came to be? you are just there quoting it out of context behaving as if you wrote it. pls let us drop this issue,it is bringing meaningless arguments and it is further dividing us. Jesus says “that they all may be one“. we have effevtive evangelism to discuss, we have methods of church growth we can shear.

@outsrip: ignorance or lack of knowledge is your problem. i am an Anglican and when i say THE CATHOLIC CHURCH it means THE UNIVERSAL CHURCH I.E. THE ENTIRE BODY OF CHRIST.NOT Roman Catholic Church. it is the early church language. You people dont know anything about church history at all let alone sound theology and yet you are arguing the issue of doctrine.

@i.chuka: i have seen your  posting about being born of water and the spirit but you seem ignorant of the meaning of the water in the context of the text. the water means the word of GOD and that is in consonance with ephesians 5:26 and John15:3 typing is a bit difficult with a phone so read them for yourself. baptism is a physical representation i repeat representation of our sharing in the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. when you initiate you entier household into the catholic i.e. universal Church am not talking of a denomination, you stand them in good stead for salvation. it is a form of dedication to God. when the babies are brought up in the ways of the Lord, when they grow up they will come to confess Jesus Christ with their own mouth (proverbs 22:6)and then they will be confirmed (baptised in the Holy Spirit by the laying on of hands in accordance with the apostolic practices.) pls note that the most important thing for salvation is to confess Jesus Christ with your mouth that He is Lord. remember the robber nailed to the cross with Jesus. note what Jesus told him when he acknowledge the saving grace in Christ. what will you say about an adult that gave his life to Jesus and died ? pls where the spirit of God is there is liberty. Jesus has handed the key of the kingdom of God to us,we should not shut it against anybody by our ignorance.

OP:Is infant baptism a sin?

Like i said earlier baptism is an initiatory rite. It is a way of bring children and dedicating them to Christ. Jesus in mat 19:14 admonished us to bring them. When they now get to the age of accountability,they will come to confess their faith with their own mouth. Then you say they became born again. Their god parents are to support the biological parents to train the children in the ways of the Lord. If that has been bastardised in some churches is another thing. Baptism however is not a pericusit for salvation. You must confes Jesus to be saved ,that should be our focus not issues that divides us.
