fergie001: Adesola Mansir Melojuekun has in a viral video today said he has no interest in pursuing the sexual harassment allegation levelled by his daughter, Barakat Mayowa Melojuekun, against the now-suspended Ogun State Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Abiodun Abudu-Balogun.
The 16-year-old Barakat had in a viral video on Saturday, accused Abudu-Balogun of sexually harassing her in his house by touching her breasts, caressing her, while reciting incantations in a bid to use her for ritual purposes.
Abudu-Balogun has vehemently denied the allegation, describing it as "lies, blackmail and the handiwork of his local political opponents.”
However, The Ogun State Government on its own part, suspended the Commissioner, to allow him cooperate fully with the independent investigation being carried out by the Police.
Barakat, in another video posted online, appreciated Nigerians for their support but urged them to please "allow the matter to rest."
Just like his daughter, Mr. Melojuekun has appealed to Nigerians, the International Community and the media to show support for the family as he withdraws the case against Abudu-Balogun.
"I want to thank the media for their doggedness and aggressive support to make sure that justice is done. I also thank the international community and well-meaning Nigerians who showed their love and support towards this matter.
“I discovered that there were a few misconceptions and misunderstandings along the line between my daughter and the Honourable Commissioner. Having discovered this, I deemed it fit to call Nigerians and the international community that this matter should be laid to rest.
“As the father of Barakat, I appeal to Nigerians and the international community and media too that I don't have interest in this matter again. I am withdrawing my case and I want them as well to support me the same way they did at the beginning of the matter. I am very grateful for the show of love and support.”

ExAngel007: A resident of Adamawa state, Evelyn Lazarus shared photos of herself and some residents in the bush on Chritsmas Eve when Boko Haram terrorists were attacking Gardika town in Gombi local government area of Adamawa state.
It was gathered that the insurgents invaded the town through the major road linking the area with Biu in Borno state.
Residents were forced to flee the town into the bush and mountainous areas as the invading terrorists looted food items and burnt houses amidst sporadic shooting.
Another resident who identified herself as Rebecca disclosed that the insurgents stormed the town when the people were making last minutes preparations for Christmas.

Kosiso12: Christmas : Sen. Orji Kalu Feeds 890 Inmates In Kuje (Photos)
Former Governor of Abia State and Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has fed 890 inmates at the Kuje correctional centre on Christmas day, Igbere TV reports.
Presenting the cooked foods and drinks to the inmates on Friday in Kuje, Kalu said the gesture was in the spirit of Christmas.
Represented by his wife, Mrs Ifunanya Kalu, , Kalu said the gesture was also aimed at giving the prisoners a sense of belonging in the society.
He added: “This is a season of almsgiving and extension of love to the less privileged , and these prisoners are part of the society, so we need to show them love and care.
“It is part of what prompted our decision to celebrate our Christmas with them; to wine and dine with them. We have done several projects in Kuje including giving the church and Mosque light we will keep doing more ”
Kalu called on wealthy and generous Nigerians to remember the needy, particularly in seasons of love like Christmas.
He urged the prisoners not to be worried by their present condition, but use it as a springboard to attain greater heights in life.
He also called on government to make the prisons in the country more habitable for the inmates.
