mevems: I just don't get what people want from Melvin, except you guys want him to run around screaming like an id*ot, then I don't see what else he can do. He participates in all the fun things in the house, he dances, joins in group singing, discussions, arguments, he's generally playful, flirtatious at times even has he's own sets of groupies in the house . I can't say the same for Wendell. I think most Nigerians got used to characters like Uti and Karen and now expect all our rep to be like them, which is wrong. I personally find Melvin a welcomed change to our generally very loud reps the past couple editions. granted, he is not perfect, but he does it for me this season.

What i'm just saying is that Melvin would have been attacked if he was the one who said what bev said concerning who she wants to win the money.. The truth is that Elikem got sentimental votes..
And I don't care if anybody wants to attack this post but I'm going to tell it like it is.
Someone told me...A nigerian to be precise that he would have preferred Elikem over Melvin as a rep.
If Elikem were to be 9jas rep..I mite not be watching bba by now.
The arrogance he exudes.
The fact that he allowed bev be f*ngered while he watched like it was purn.
He talks too much, brags..e.t.c
This are traits I think someone like fork addict might like in a rep.
But as different people we have different perspectives.

Firstly, I'm not supporting Melvin cos he's Nigerian even tho that's d cherry on the cake.

The only other Nigerian rep I supported was Uti..I didn't support him in season 3 tho cos of his arrogance.
But in bba all star I saw a different side of him.
Especially the fact that he was humble and always defending the ladies. I went all out 4 Uti that year..

My reasons for supporting Melvin this year is even beyond bba.
I watched this particular episode of GUS where A girl fell..I think her name was Chisom (they were almost like him n Dillish now) all the contestants only Melvin stopped running and some people even passed him..as he was about going for her she got up and continued.
He was willing to sacrifice just to help the girl..he would have won the task that day if not for the fact that he stopped running.
If u like call it a stewpid or weak move.
But since that day I started campaigning for him to win. Unfortunately that didn't happen.
On the 1st day of bba..when he was introduced as our rep, u can imagine my excitement.

Altho I gave him n bev equal ♥ that week..cos I kept expecting him to be a jerk and show another side of himself..but he didn't change.
If anything Melvin has been consistent in his behaviour. In the 2nd week of the game biggie asked him about relationships..and he said he vowed that he wouldn't hav 1 in the house..even if he sees someone it'll have to wait till their out (I'm guessing this is why @spade called him slow)
And then he showed that selflessness, yet again, by swapping himself.
He even attempted to swap himself after he put hakeem up 4 eviction.
I remember him going back to d diary room but biggie refused to open the door.

He might not be entertaining as other hm's agreed. But truth be told the only entertainers this year were Natasha, bassey, Sulu and sometimes Selly. Nando later got boring.

As for Hakeem..@forkaddicts fave..I don't understand why tho cos I found him totally boring..except when he was gossiping and screaming CLEO.
So I wonder why @Forkaddict calls Melvin boring..p.s u can answer this question without attacking me.

Anyway, in a bid to answer my own question I guess entertainment is relative.

THE AMAKA: Actually Melvin didn't come under when he stated that Beverly was his biggest competition. At least on this thread he didn't. The majority were defending and making up all possible scenarios on why he said that coupled with the fact that he "laughed it off" with her.
I remember vividly saying that Beverly could never do the same thing and people wouldn't throw all manners of insults at her or throw around reasons why she dislikes him and the reason why she has been "turning the housemates against him" (what Safarigirl said).

Oh and BTW, how do you know the love she has for Melvin dwarfs his love for her because she also mentioned Angelo's name? Hello! Angelo is technically her lover, so what did you expect her to say? How does that prove he loves her more than she loves him? Ever thought she could love both of them just as much? I guess because she didn't pick Melvin's name alone that automatically means she doesn't like him as much as he likes her.
