Politics › Re: APC Desperate For 25% In Abuja by Formularcr7: 8:19pm On Feb 27, 2023 |
lhordspy: Hmm. How many times will i school you guys today?
You dont need to get 25% in FCT to be president. FCT is considered a state in the constitution. You just need to have 25% in 24 states, including FCT or not. Then get majority vote across the nation, then you are good to go.
Even going by the screenshot you posted, it shows you dont even know what is 25% of total vote cast. If LP is having 111k votes as the leader, then the second 61k with one LGA to go. it means the total vote cast is not much.
Children just full this forum, reason why i spend more of my time on twitter these days
Modified: Go and read section 299 of the Nigeria constitution which already recognise FCT as a state.
And section 134 of the constitution states that; a candidate will be declared winner of a presidential election if he has:
“(a) he has the majority of votes cast at the election; and (b) he has not less than one-quarter of the votes cast at the election in each of at least two-thirds of all the States in the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
So it means FCT is part of that 24 state required by the constitution to get your 25%, it is not a seperate entity, it is considered a state as stated by section 299. Simple. with your analysis,if Abuja is a state, then having 25% in 24 state is not up to 2/3 of the states |

yarimo: go and read the constitution and understand it before login to nairaland. A sub section says a candidate with majority of valid votes cast shall be declare winner. That was the section INEC apply to declare BUHARI winner againt Jonathan in 2015 you should school yourself before coming to a public forum like this, but thank God it's faceless |

Arambetimofeda: Accredited Voters 315, 056 please get ypur facts right EKITI STATE REUSLTS
TOTAL LGA 16 987,647 REGISTERED 301,558 ACCREDITED
A- 69 AA- 29 AAC 108 ADC 1,0337 ADP 737 APC 201,494 APGA 268 APM 46 APP 91 PP 46 LP 11,397 NNPP 263 NRM 131 PDP 89,554 PRP 46 SDP 2011 YPP 81 ZLP 460..
Lets do some mathematics.. If Total number of accredited votes is 301,558 and APC scored 201,494 301,558---(Apc)201,494=100,064 100,064 remaining minus PdP( 89,554) 100,064--89554=10,510 remaining.
Now i ask how did LP get 11397 887 extra?? Where did other political parties get there figures from?? ADC 10337??..
This results were clearly doctored.. This is Not the credible Election INEC promised us... INEC Nigeria. Please somebody should correct me if I'm wrong obi agbawalam!!
INEC Nigeria Come and explain this confusion to us shut up and move on, dino melaye spoke on the issue and it was revealed to be 315k+ not 301 |
