The acting head of Russia's anti-corruption agency has been caught with$122 million in cash in his home, Russian media reported.

Russian police raided the house of Dmitry Zakharchenko, the deputy head of the Energy Industry Department of the General Administration of Economic Security and Combating the Corruption(GAESCC).

After coming away with the huge sum, $2.2million of which was in Euros, he was arrested on suspicion of abuse of power, obstruction of justice, and accepting bribes.

He allegedly refused to comment on the money or its origins and was charged with abuse of power, obstruction of justice and accepting bribes. He is pleading not guilty.

With this current brouhaha going on in Apc there chances of winning the Ondo state election is becoming slim. if Tinubu preferred candidate didn't win all I can see is Tinubu would not give the party necessary support it needs. Apc is Tinubu and Tinubu is Apc. we also need to remember that the present local chairmen in the 18 local governments state are all PDP which is powerful in the hand of Mr Governor!!

Its just a political power play. Muslims do not make up to 30%in that state to be conservative. Ekiti and Ondo states have low Muslim population and, if a power play is talked into play by Muslim groups, they may never have a member in any government.
However, Yoruba don't play religious politics, its just a digression to create awareness's for their groups

I have said this time and again that the APC should start acting democracy and this imposition - godfatheristocracy can no longer work the nearer they get to the centre of national politics. It has served its purpose of tying down the core west for good or bad, created vast empires of great wealth and influence for the promoters but it has an expiry date and wisdom knows when this is. If this current crises is not nipped swiftly in the bud it will infect other entities within the APC, west at least, and corrode the fabric of cooperation and solidarity amongst its members because quite frankly democracy is democracy. It is about the PEOPLE and their greatest need is freedom, self determination which the party should skillfully ride tather than ride roughshod the way it is doing. Ondo is long overdue for an APC led government. It has been in the hands of the PDP for too long and has stagnated. It will be a pity if the APC throws away this golden chance of giving the people a credible alternative government.
