We've gotten through to her she's in Toronto. Left from Lagos yesterday. Thank you so much.
jollytravels:
@fortune foreever I WILL ADVISE THAT IF YOU HAVE SOMEONE IN TORONTO THEY CAN VERIFY FROM THE AIRLINE WHEN THE Ehiopian airline that she followed landed? and from where did she board from is it Lagos- toronto or Abuja Toronto. I know someone that just left now through same Ethiopian to Toronto but is this afternoon landing 2morrow.

Cant delete this! We got through to her. Thank you.

Good evening everyone, please who knows anyone who by chance was on an Ethopian air flight to Toronto from Nigeria yesterday 1:40pm 1st October 2021. Please it's urgent as my siblings and I have been unable to reach my mum who was on same flight and ought to have arrived. She already missed her connecting flight to final destination. Cbsa refused to give any info to us.
Please help if you know anyone thanks.

My own refusal love letter came in on September 20th. Applied May 16th.
I had never been more relieved wow! The waiting was worse than the refusal always wondered how I would have coped if I had nothing else doing with my life ohhh ah.
What worried me the most was that I applied without my family the thought of travelling without them especially my kids gave me nightmares, definitely packaging my next application with my kids at least leave my hubby and work as home tie.

I would rest from refreshing mail and and clearing cache hahaha

All the best to everyone waiting and congratulations to the recent ppr holders.

Wow! Congratulations your ppr finally came!!! Happy for you. All the best!

SweetJJ:
My application is that of faith. So I started the journey last year around June/July 2020. The first University I saw offering my course (Special Education Specialization in Education of the Deaf) was University of British Columbia, and after going through their website and the department, I reached out to supervisors. I found out there are just two supervisors that could supervise my PhD study.

So happy you got it on your second attempt!! Big congratulations!!
Alhamdullilah it has ended in praise for me.
This journey has been on for me since 2019 after leaving highschool but I thank God that it has finally ended.
My original destination was the US but my mom didn't want it because of gun violence and we had no family in the US so we settled for Canada. I applied for admission to University of Manitoba since that's where my sister was and got admission since November 2019. Unfortunately that was when the wait now started. cheesy
An immigration lawyer was introduced to my mom who charged 1000 dollars which we paid almost immediately. But this stupid woman didn't do anything for more than a year saying covid and many other rubbish. She only wrote sop and that was even when I almost changed it for her.
Fast forward sha, come December 2020, I couldn't take it anymore I fought with my mom about it so that we can use anothe person. She refunded the money and we decided to us another licensed consultant (A3

She just responded surprised and sure of her own info which is still half truth.
You are not all the way wrong NSE route is stated 12months MBS as requirement for study Visa.

DestinationCann:
You could have stated your right information without sounding condescendingly annoying you know.

You need to learn how to pass your "right message" across without being appalling!!!

Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Fortuneforever: 8:26am On Sep 16, 2021
Yes 6months is standard but NSE route requires 12months of banking history. It seems much but I guess that's why they insist on MBS that way you don't have to scan numerous sheets.

Chilove007:

Na wa oh....no be 5-6 months again? Make we they try give out the right info abeg !!!

I was even hoping it's peculiar to me today, assuming they where working on my file lol.
Let me just wake to updates tomorrow!!

Hey guys,
Please is anyone having issues signing into GCKey account?
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Fortuneforever: 5:50pm On Sep 14, 2021
So sorry for your refusal.

Leaving your spouse and child may not be the only factor they considered,
Mum sponsoring you instead of husband and stuff like that could have raised questions.
Your level of establishment here, how your kids will be catered for financially and all that ....
Yes they have issues with shabby reviews sometimes but we need to check all angles to be able to fire back strong.
If you just question their reviews without tackling the concerns they may have raised even if not clearly stated, you will still fall short in the next application.

Did you include anything about your husband? Did he write any letter to show his support and how he would care for the kids or you stated all these in your LOE...

I am not a guru, just my observation.

Kam3:

We were both refused for the same purpose, I was refused yesterday and I was also wondering if they actually review my application.

Imagine refusing for home ties when it is stated in the gcms I ordered earlier as married and have a child non-accompanying.

I don't think you can travel as soon as possible sha, being that you deferred already

It's a PPR, guys!!!

Confirmation of Online Transmission: May 20
Submission Confirmation: May 20
Biometrics Letter Collection: May 21
Correspondence Letter: September 13
Original Passport Request: September 13

Thanks to everyone for your guidance. I didn't see it coming. Thanks to God.

I have a little concern tho. I deferred my admission till Next Fall (2022) already.

Does anyone have a connect of how I can get my COVID jab, so that I can travel as soon as possible.

Every advice is highly appreciated!

Wowww! So sorry. Please can you share which school to help others?
It's to really dig in to get all the information as regards refund policies for any school one is dealing with and even at that one has to be careful. There have some clauses scattered around that aren't too glaring until it's time then they would start giving you links to prove their points. It is well

is been 2 weeks since I got a decision
It was rejected and I am no more interested in Canada and has requested for my student deposit, which was used anyhow, out of 4000k Canada dollars I am getting 987.. please in no time should you register as a student till your visa is out ..please don't register till u get a visa decision. God bless you all

This testimony is a really long one. Thank you Jesus!

Submitted : 15th of May
Biometrics: 26th of May
Upfront Medicals: 16th of June
Correspondence Letter & Passport Request: 9th of September

The background story

When I got my admission to University of Prince Edward Island,I was asked to submit my official transcripts. This was after paying the non refundable acceptance fee of 1k dollars.

After a lot of back and forth, Unilag informed me that my 200 Level results were missing so it was impossible to send my transcripts. I did all I could...pressed all the buttons i could. I was depressed and disappointed with the level of incompetence in the University. After 6 months, UPEI gave me a 5 day deadline and stated that I would lose the admission if they don't receive my official transcripts. The problem was not just about losing the admission or the 1k USD. The real problem was how do I even apply to another University knowing fully well that my results were missing!!!!

I took the matter to God in prayer and fasting and kept sending emails pleading for more time. I couldn't come out straight to say my results were missing. I just blamed the delay on Covid and kept hoping for a miracle.

Meanwhile, when I applied for the admission, I submitted my statement of result and another result from an exchange program in a Russian University. On the 3rd day of my fasting, the school responded to my pleas and asked me to go to a notary public and request that they send my Statement of Result and the exchange program results to them via DHL. I spent money oooo but God showed up. That was how I scaled through and got my unconditional LOA.

I submitted my Visa Application on the 15th of May. Did upfront medicals on the 9th of June and was updated to pass a week after. Then, the waiting began.
I had 2 lump sums in my account which I clearly explained in my letter. Sent a webform when I got a welcome letter from the school stating when lectures will resume and other info.

Few weeks ago, the school informed me that if I'm not able to make it by 29th of October, they will have to withdraw me cos I deferred from last year September already. I begged the Course Coordinator to prepare a letter for me stating all that she said so I can send to IRCC. She did and I sent it to them via webform.

Note that I didn't submit my transcripts for the Visa application since I didn't have it. I just submitted the Statement of Result and the other result from Russia. No landed property/documents. My only home tie was my Job and family members. I just kept believing God to finish what he had started and I was consistent in praying and fasting. I join NLP with Pastor Bolaji every morning.

On the 2nd of September, I got partial scholarship worth 6,000 CAD. I informed IRCC via webform.

Today, 9th of September, I received Correspondence Letter and Passport Request. . It's still like a dream ooo..I keep pinching myself to double check.

37 years old and I graduated since 2009. I studied Russian Language and I'm going for an MBA based on my work experience.

This is from ircc international I guess? You won't get this response from the office directly handling your file if your application has passed processing time.

I got a different response from Nairobi

Ketima:
Good morning Guys.

This morning I got this mail from IRCC.

Guess we are in for a long wait oo.

May 16th here, eligibility yet to start hoping it has actually started but didn't change on my profile lol

The last response I got from ircc Kenya was that my file was on queue for review meanwhile they said
in a previous email it was under active review smh

q
Any may applicants still waiting?
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Fortuneforever: 11:43pm On Aug 28, 2021
It's not easy to condition mind sha lol

People apply early and are still waiting, some Feb/March applicants are still waiting. And one can only apply when admission is gotten, some schools delay in that regard. It's all in God's hands.

Leyemoshood:
I feel like people should condition their minds back to the former status quo of waiting for 3 months before getting outcome from IRCC, by so doing, you wont put yourself under pressure. It is also pertinent to state that people apply early so there would be enough interval between admission and visa. It will end in praise for us all in Jesus' name.
