Showed same for me for like a day and then it was updated to passed, although I did upfront medical a few weeks after I submitted my application. owee: Does IRCC normally indicate "We are reviewing the results of your medical exam", before updating the status to pass? This is if you submitted upfront medicals along with your application initially. Please advise if you've also noticed this. |

Please just use old way sir because I am not understanding this your new way *thinking* hope you are not applying for citizenship lol Please start again use GCkey Hassan19: *VERY URGENT PLEASE* I saw a new way to apply for a study permit and I used it instead of the normal way of creating a GcKey. Now I think I’m the only one that used this path. Should I start again and go through the normal path?
*Note* I’m at the last phase of submitting my application.
Kindly check the picture uploaded below to confirm?
Any suggestions please?
Has anyone used the method of applying?
And do I need to upload the Imme forms because I didn’t see anywhere to put it but I’ve already filled it in s section before getting to the last phase |

He said required for NSE not school admission, Ielts is a requirement for NSE route except one can write a letter asking for a waiver due to time constraints as some persons here have done Oviebright: it’s optional and besides Nigeria is among the countries exempted from English requirements as it is a English speaking country. |

Good day everyone,
I applied for a study visa with my husband as sponsor, do I need to submit my own bank statement? My closing balance is at 250k, I feel is quite small even if the cash inflow is consistent due to allowances and a small farm investment returns.
Does he need to pay the school fees since the school offers full refund?
Please help Thank you for your time |

I can imagine, it's not easy oh emotionally. In this case from the little knowledge I have, applying with your family means you need to show strong economic and social ties, things strong enough to prove to the VO you will come back and your actual intent is to study. Like current employment and financial stability, landed properties, parents, community involvement etc. Also show the VO how you intend to cater for your family during your studies, how having them with you will help you emotionally and stuff like that. All these should be in your SOP. Aside that there are other factors too like the program you are going for if it relates to your current employment or previous studies in terms of career progression. No one can categorically tell you if you will get visa or not in the end it's all in God's hands with these VOs All the best jfrazzy: Bro I have little kids My wife no agree make I travel go first.. She want to be we're ever I am |

Thank you so much. I appreciate your response. fairlytreated: They are 3, 7 and 10 years old respectively. 2 years program I was already completing first semester when I got mine approved because I started online class with AIP. Immediately after picking up my passport. I applied for authorization for travel exemption. This speeds up the process. I hope that helps |

Thank you so much for taking out time to respond. All noted. God bless you Frankrobbn1: Given that you've already applied for your study visa, I will suggest you should be patient until your application receives a positive consideration from IRCC. Your two boys aged 7 and 9 respectively will apply for open study permit, and this has to be done when you've successfully arrived Canada and have obtained the relevant documents in support of your active immigration status in Canada. It is definitely a difficult decision to make, albeit you've to endure so that you can achieve the prime purpose of relocating to Canada with your entire family.
It will end in praise |

Congratulationssss so happy for you. Please stay fervent in prayers and fasting still! He that has began a good work will perfect it. Stay favoured! ToluDstar: Thanks to everyone for the congratulatory messages, I truly appreciate y’all!! The wait wasn’t easy but we thank God for his faithfulness! I got the two emails during prayers this morning! Please never doubt God cause at some point, I began to have some doubts. Only this morning when I woke up did I regain some faith again, just before I got my PPR. This is such a wonderful birthday gift as my birthday is later this month and God just perfected everything!
LONG POST ALERT!! My journey (Omo my talk fit plenty small) I started this journey around May 2020. I wanted to go for a Masters in Accounting and finance at the University of Toronto which was what delayed me till this point. They needed a special CPA assessment for international students which included a WES ICAP evaluation. I paid for all and I carried out the assessment. The assessment was to only to know whether you are qualified to apply based on your degree/transcript. Due to our failed educational system in Nigeria, I couldn’t get course outlines for each course I did from 100L to 400L from my school which the U of T required for the assessment thereby making me unable to apply. This whole period took about 3/4 months before I knew I couldn’t even apply to start with. I went on to apply to Simon Fraser and University of Windsor. Simon Fraser answered me fast but their fees are over $50k plus they needed GMAT for me to gain admission. They sent mails every month for a while asking for my GMAT score in other to gain admission. I didn’t have the time to take GMAT because I was preparing for my ACCA exams and besides, the fees were outrageous so I just ignored Simon Fraser as well. Windsor was my bus stop. I applied and it took about 3 months before they gave me my admission for Winter 2021. I had to defer till summer/spring due to the unavailability of time to prepare documents for study permit. As at December 2020, all my documents were ready except medicals and IELTS. I booked dates for medicals and IELTS for January 2021. I did both of them and got results sharply. Due to some issues, I had to wait until February before I submitted my full application with my NSE documents. I got an application confirmation on that day and another update a day after. I didn’t do biometrics because I had applied for a visiting visa in the past so IRCC applied the same biometrics to my application. Omo the wait was long! I got a fantastic job offer during this period o and the confusion began; whether or not to forget everything about traveling and commit to working at a top investment bank for two years. I said in my mind my God doesn’t do unfinished business. I even had to start my first semester here from Nigeria and it was a bit tough but God did it. God doesn’t do half work. I kept on refreshing my mail for dayssssssss without updates. Finally, June 2, 2021 during NLP prayers, I got two updates successively. Mind you, powerful fasting and prayers had been going on personally during this period o. I am even currently fasting! Finally oooo my people, I got PPR. My application wasn’t perfect as there were lump sums left unexplained in my sponsor’s statements but God was faithful! To show you how God works and to give hope to some people, we transferred some funds to my Dad’s statements just a day or two before we did the mbs for the two accounts, although the account have solid history and they are quite buoyant.
Before I forget, about a month or two ago, I contacted the parliament members in Windsor and they really helped as they contacted ircc on my behalf and also sent their correspondence to me. That was how I knew my application was being handled in Nairobi. For about 10 days now, I had sent emails and webforms to Nairobi informing them that I already commenced classes and I pleaded with them to speed up my application process. I also ordered my GCMS notes on May 17 but I guess I won’t be needing that anymore lol. All in all, I received the favour of God guys. Thanks to all the gurus in the house for always responding to all our questions and concerns (Justmellow, Frankrobbn, Lekkiboboe) and everybody else, may God continue to uplift you guys. @Teenie19 and marcelonwa, I dey wait for una PPRs too plus everybody else waiting for PPR, God will favour us all by his Grace.

TIMELINE: Application submission: February 4, 2021. Application in process: February 5, 2021. I don remember when exactly my eligibility review started/when my medicals turned to passed. Didn’t get NSE request as I submitted all documents upfront. Contacted Kusmierczyk Irek, a member of parliament on April 13, 2021. Got a reply that same day and was told to fill some forms. They didn’t get back to me until May 4, when they sent the correspondence with the visa office in Nairobi. This reply was quite detailed and different from the usual generic replies we always get. I started sending emails and webforms to Nairobi from May 17, 2021 (the same day I ordered for my GCMS notes). I got some generic responses about my application being under active review and all of that but I didn’t stop sending webforms.
BVL: June 2, 2021; 7:28am PPR: June 2, 2021; 7:32am
Goodluck to everyone waiting for PPR once again and to those that were delayed, please do not give up as God will definitely crown your efforts with success.
Cheers. |

Thanks for sharing. Please just a few questions that will be of great help to me if you don't mind cos I applied without my kids and I've been restless ever since. Your help will be greatly appreciated. How old are your kids and how did you go about it? Did you have to explain why you applied without them in the first place? What's the duration of your study? How soon after you got approval did you apply for them. Was there something you did to expedite the process like a priority letter or something? Forgive the many questions fairlytreated: I actually applied for my children immediately I got approval and their visas was approved with travel exemption. It is not out of place to apply for them to accompany you after getting your visa. But as we have all seen, everyone seems to have their unique package. So consider what suits you and shoot. |

Raised 3 different webforms on the main IRCC page between 16th May and 21st May got a response yesterday 28th saying it's received and has been forwarded to Nairobi visa office where my file is located. So also raise a webform directly on the IRCC page and hope one of all pulls through soon TennieYF: Please how long did it take to get a response after sending the webform? I also sent webform for additional documents but haven't gotten any acknowledgement yet. I sent to Lagos, Nairobi and London so as to know which office is handling my case, but no response. |

I submitted 15th May, got biometrics request did it and was uploaded 18th. Haven't received NSE request, I have gone ahead to book for upfront medical for 8th June. I have seen people on this thread get request next day after biometrics and some as far as 3weeks so let's me observing. From a response I got from IRCC when I raised a webform for additional documents my file is in Nairobi so I have raised my prayer alarm lol Oyesquare10: Please anyone here who applied this month without NSE requirement and has gotten NSE request? I applied on the 15th without IELTS and I haven't gotten NSE request |

Hi @Frankrobbin thank you for your time please I understand the part of travelling to Canada to get the required documents to apply for SOWP. But can one apply for accompanying dependants immediately after receiving the study visa approval? I actually applied with out my 2boys 7&9years and spouse but now am regretting not including my kids and using my spouse alone as hometies, the thought of going without them is making me go through the motions . Was thinking I could start classes online while waiting for their visas, want to know the possibilities. Or would another option be to amend my application as I just applied mid May. Please advice. Thanks Frankrobbn1: Lucky you to have obtained a Canadian study visa while leaving a 3-months old baby behind. Given that your visa has been approved, I will suggest that you travel to Canada and obtain the relevant documents (study permit and SIN) before you can file for a Spousal Open Work Permit for your husband to join you in Canada and a visitor's visa application for the baby as an accompanying dependent child.

I feel the best way for IRCC to prove that they care about international students is to make the study even if all is done online to count towards EE not just PGWP. I don't think they are being tricky with their approach so far I will say they are being strategic at least the money they gather is for their economy not like anyone is taking it to their personal accounts unlike a certain country they made it clear that AIP is not a guarantee so it's a choice they didn't force anyone, na you say you won go learn for their country they didn't beg you to come so why get mad at them ♀️♀️♀️ |
