[quote author=walex2 post=77769902]so an increment from 18k to 30k is 67%? please work on your statistics. let me help you out and you must pay me . to calculate the increment is like this new minus old multiply by the old. therefore the percentage of increment is 30,000-18000 = 12,000. therefore 12,000\18, 000 = 0.4 percent incremental. please clap for me. the increment is 40 percent and not 67 percent[/quote Check your calculation. It should be 0.67 and not 0.40 |

To her, family comes first, probably she didn't want to be selfish and use the money on herself while her family are in pressing need of money!!
If this is your reason for breaking up then you were never in love with that lady!! What stops her from discussing with the man before spending the money on family issue.? |

When have you seen the prices of commodities come now in Nigeria? Let me tell you if govs are ready to forsake their corrupt minds, they can pay the 30k. I keep on saying, there is no governor that is in office for 4 good years without being a billionaire. Where do they get the money?. I think federal government committee and labour must have looked into all this before they agreed on the 30k. There must be a way out. |

Politics › Re: Minimum Wage: FG Secures Court Order To Stop Labour Strike by fortunejum: 2:39pm On Nov 03, 2018 |
kgr8mike: Looking at this whole thing, NLC is going on strike for the wrong reasons.
Nigeria under the present administrative setting cannot pay N30000 minimum wage. Some states are owing N18000 & u are demanding N30000
NLC should go on strike for restructuring and resource control - true Federalism.
It is only when States control their resources that each state can set what their minimum wage will be. Many states are not viable while others are, so you don't expect the minimum wage to be the same. States should then pay according to their income line.
Whether we believe it or not Nigeria should have a weak centre and strong states. Nobody believes in today's Nigeria because the system encourages corruption. Nobody is a Nigerian but each of us can identify with our respective states and grow it if we control our resources.
NLC should do the needful - should go on strike for restructuring and resource control. That will be the NLC I will support. The NLC that goes on strike for the right reasons. Who told you they cannot pay 30k ? But the same governors have billions of naira including assets. Where do they get the money. |

BrandHakim: Increasing the minimum wage to such an incredible amount requires a lot of deliberation, considering the inescapable impact of such actions on the economy.
In 2011 Gej Increased it from 7500 to 18,000 We shouldn't compare with the almost 50k new Wage.
Also the FG must ensure all institutions are ready to comply. For how long? |
