Please gurus in the house i need to get some info right. I read somewhere in the CIC website that international students with some kinds of funding/ scholarship from Canada will not qualify for Post Graduation Work Permit. Is this true? What do you know about this?

Hello everyone!

Please I need your help.

I am a student in Canada. I got married recently. My husband's application for an Open Work Permit was submitted (online) on April 7th. The application was rejected yesterday.

I am not satisfied that you have sufficient funds, including income or assets, to carry out your stated purpose in
coming to Canada or to maintain yourself while in Canada and to effect your departure.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 200(1) of the
IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.
• I am not satisfied that your spouse can support you until you find employment.

I submitted all necessary documents from my school, his property document and bank statement but the money in my husband's account was not much.

I would like to know how soon we can reapply.
Can my husband show more money in his account as gift from his mum towards the application?
Or should we just get his uncle to show his bank statement and offer to sponsor us?
How can we address all the concerns of the VO in our next application?

Please help us with any information related to this case.

Thanks in advance

Sorry for the delay. Please how long did it take from the time you guys applied till you got this response.

House, please forgive me derailing

Abeg who don collect FUTO transcript before for hia.
The online transcipt request portal is worse than worst.
Anyone? Please advise on how to go about mine.
i will advice u go to futo and apply in person. don't think that online thing works o! don't think they even pay attention to it. and transcript request can really take time to process so you would want to meet someone who u can tip to facilitate things for you. my husband had a terrible experience with futo. took about 5 months to find his transcript although he graduated more than 13yrs ago

If she has applied for PR or has been included in the application she should answer yes and state it. Dual intent is allowed as long as the applicant demonstrates that they understand they will have to leave when their permit expires and also demonstrates means, ability, and motivation to return. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/visa/dual.asp http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/institutions/intent.asp
thanks for the link. i appreciate big time

Based on what've read PR and student visa are threated differently. It is your problem to prove you will come back home when submitting for student visa, even if you have ongoing PR application. Likewise, you may have to prove adaptability for PR, even when you have ongoing student application. So, no need to wait. Threat each differently and provide all necessary evidence to back your app. Shalom!
i greatly appreciate ur input. but does that mean that my husband can go ahead and apply for EE while my study app is still been processed? nothing will spoil for me?

The woman in question @forumlove is not the principal Applicant for the PR, her husband is the principal Applicant

Even if she was the principal Applicant it won't affect anything someone on this thread got his study permit and also got PR together..... I think it's in this part or the previous part of this thread!

So my there IMO it won't affect anything at all

@austinepee4 over to you wink
thanks plenty. i want as much info as i can get so i don't later regret. pls any more advice?

pls our elders in da house i need your advice here. I already applied for study trv hoping that God will show his strength on my behalf. At this same time exploring other avenues. my husband has been preparing his application for express entry and is ready to apply. my question is if he applies will it affect my own application as i have not gotten approval yet. can they connect the two applications as he is putting me as his spouse.

No it is not too late to apply. But try to do upfront medicals to speed up your application. All the best
online or paper route, which will be faster?
