@ Topic. As I suspected, the adversarial Nation Newspaper's report might have been overly manipulated to suit Tinubu's ACN's purposes. The Nation's report makes it seem as if the First Lady was asking for constitutional provisions that would guarantee first ladies retirement benefits - by viture of their first ladyship. Clearly, that was not what she meant. In her own (admittedly ineloquent) way of speaking, she meant that first ladies should be allowed to pursue their own careers and earn their own retirement benefits consequently. Evidence of this can be found in two other more credible reports from more credible national newspapers

Billyonaire: Meanwhile, PDP remains the only truely Democratic Part in Nigeria. The facts are there to see. ACN is run by Tinubu and Tinubu alone, he anoints candidates for office, The board of trustees in ACN has no voice, the only loud voice is Tinubu. CPC is also regional party set up by Buhari for the sole aim of contesting for Presidency, its that same reason that he solely annoints himself and contest for Presidency every 4 years and may continue to do so until he is disgraced to retire like his colleague IBB. APGA is also regional, they clearly call themselves Igbo party, an attempt by a Northerner to convene a meeting of trustees met a parallel meeting in Ojukwu's compound with Gov Obi and Ojukwu's wife running things. What party again oh....hen en...ANPP, this was a major opposition in the early days of democracy, it was sort of national until greed tear them apart seeing most of the members swimming into PDP and some in limbo. So, PDP remains the only national democratic party with nominations openly done at Eagles Square. PDP leads, others follow. If PDP fails, Nigeria will actually shake. I cant trust Nigeria in the hands of Tinubu's regional party or Buhari's regional Party. They both are entrenched in regional jingoism.

Elueme: These residents are human beings and should be treated with humane.. I don't have problem with demolishing the shanties but the way and manner you do such matters.. It is now they know the residents are living there illegally, what defines legality of place of abode?these people have been living there for ages, living a peasant life with fish farming why just oppressed them just because you have an ulterior motive with the coastland? This is becoming a common trend with ACN govt Edo inclusive.. PDP led govt will never attempt such and if they do this so called democrats will blow the roof off it... If ACN fails to perform, nothing stops the people to look for alternatives. We all know wat happened to d overconfident 'egbe Awolowo' (AD) in 2003. However, I beileve PDP has lost its credibility.

Billyonaire: PDP can win Lagos. The way Fashola and Tinubu are handling Lagos at this second term is nothing to write home about. The Lekki Road was a Public Private Partnership and I am paying toll every time I pass. What has the government done for me with my tax money ? The ACN government has not done anything to improve me or my neighborhood with the Tax money or from the Federal Allocation apart from building 5 star hotels, Airlines, private properties etc for themselves. I dont know about other parts of Lagos but VI-Lekki axis, all our projects are PPP projects, Simple. If PDP will take away the 30 yrs toll arrangement, I will vote for PDP, I remain unbiased.

leave these people let them keep underestimating the strength of igbos in Lagos until pdp sees this your master stroke, capitalize and win Lagos by a landslide. Thank God fashola will not be a problem in 2015. Igbos own Lagos

Johndoe100: What amazes me on this thread is that not one person has raised the point that this is a PURELY INTERNAL MATTER of Bayelsa state. If the elected representatives of the people are happy with it, how can some vampires from the southwest be crying over what they want to do with their money. All of a sudden people who despise, yes even hate Bayelsa and all its people are now so so sad about the supposed wrong done to the state.

Also we seem to have reached the point where any allegation made by Sahara reporters is true. Is this not just further proof that the haters are gradually becoming desperate? Ammunition is getting short so any straw will seem to do.
