my brother, I am an Ekiti man who is deeply rooted in Ekiti politics. I was even an observer in the presidential/national Assembly election that gave me opportunity to move around freely during the election. See, I don't see anybody impeaching Fayose in Ekiti. That guy is too smart. One, he is so much loved by Ekiti people, call him anything, Ekiti people will do anything to defend and protect him. Secondly, the 19 members have no locus standi to commence impeachmentt against him, it will amount to contempt of law. Thirdly, PDP will clear the HOA election of next weekend. Now, the real gist is that all the contestants of PDP were core loyalists of Fayose who were handpicked by him. He used his money to buy forms for all of them. He ensured that they are people who are not so learned and exposed. Among them are musicians, cultural dancers etc. He has made them to sign undated resignation lettter which he has kept to blackmail them in future in case they want to sell out that is after taken an oath of allegiance with him. So you see how difficult it is for them to be bought?

The 19 members of the ekiti state HOA are still under suspension until the courts rule otherwise. There are just wasting their time. Buhari might have won but he is not yet President. As long as PDP remains in power, Fayose cannot be impeached. Unfortunately for them, They will all be kicked out next week so that when Buhari resumes by May 29 ,Fayose would be safe from impeachment.

Wat can't money do? Even if PDP wins d majority in d State house of assembly n Buhari assumes office, APC can buy majority of d honourables n still impeach Mr Stomach Infrastructure

Mujahid Asari Dokubo, an ex-militant who
threatened to unleash violence on the country if
President Goodluck Jonathan lost his re-election
bid, has threatened a return “to the creeks” and
accused the Yoruba and Hausa of working against
Igbo and Niger Deltans.
He denied saying he was in support of any
government in power, despite a tweet on his
handle, @asaridokubo , on Tuesday.
He did not disown the handle but said he was yet to
congratulate any winner of the presidential and
parliamentary elections.
He said the election of Muhammadu Buhari as
president “is a clear indication that the country is
not united” and accused the Yoruba and Hausa of
collaborating to frustrate Jonathan, who hails from
the Niger Delta region.
“Nigerian union clearly reinforces the fact of self
determination and that Nigeria remains a very
divided and separated entity whose claim to unity
remains a fraud of gargantuan proportion,” Dokubo
said in a statement issued on his behalf by Rex
Ekiugbo Anighoro, his spokesman.
“The celebrated victory of Buhari is not the victory
of the people but victory of regional conspiracy and
supremacy. The voting Partern has clearly shown
that the Gambari North and the Yorubas are United
in the conquest of the Niger Deltans and the Igbos
of defunct Biafra with the middle belt now used as
pawns.
“The victory of Muhammadu Buhari is a historical
reminder that we are a conquered people who are
mere appendages existing at the pleasure of the
supremacist and the regional overlords.
“We remain a people separated by our ideologies
and interests, we are not integrated nor
reconciled.”
He alleged that the incoming government could
attempt to undermine the interest of the Niger Delta
and called for a return to the creeks.
“The conditions that advanced the need to embrace
the creeks have been sadly re energised, it is clear
that a vicious government who may maim and
murder the voice of the so called minorities may
have just been birthed,” he said.
“Indeed integration is nonexistent as regional gang
ups and supremacy is symbolic with this victory.
“While President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan enjoys
his moments and bask in the euphoria of a now
world renowned statesman having congratulated
Muhammadu Buhari his conqueror, we must
quickly remind that our struggle was never about
Jonathan nor about presidency.
“President Goodluck Jonathan was an
establishment beneficiary of our struggle, our sweat
and blood that many bled and died for, he was
never in the struggle and he can never wish away
our collective march forward for statesmanship.
Yes Indeed to an extent he was a mitigating factor
in self determination pursuit as we went on
sabbatical, this mitigation he seem to have
willingly repudiated.
“The days coming will be critical, we shall study all
the conditions and consult widely before
determining the way going forward for our collective
existence and survival as a people. The days
coming shall either drive the quest of integration or
further separate us.”

Thousands of Akwa Ibom residents thronged the streets of Uyo, the state capital, and other towns Tuesday, singing songs and waving brooms – the symbol of the All Progressives Party – to celebrate the emergence of Muhammadu Buhari as Nigeria’s president-elect.
Mr. Buhari, the candidate of the APC, defeated incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan at the polls, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, said.
Akwa Ibom State, for years a Peoples Democratic Party-controlled state, has lately broadened its opposition ranks, with extensive support for the APC, largely in protest of the leadership style of the governor, Godswill Akpabio, a key ally of President Jonathan.
Mr. Akpabio was accused by the state APC of masterminding massive rigging during Saturday’s presidential vote, returning over 800,000 votes for Mr. Jonathan.
Many believe majority of the votes were fictitious as evidenced by a video published by PREMIUM TIMES on Monday, showing election officials colluding with agents of the PDP to thumbprint ballot papers in an area the state PDP governorship candidate comes from.
One resident said if a credible vote was conducted in the state on Saturday, the result would have been significantly different in favour of the APC.
During the election, deadly clashes erupted in many communities where residents dared to confront state agents who insisted that voters support only the PDP.
At least one person was killed in Mbierebe Akpawat, a village in Ibesikpo Asutan, the APC governorship candidate in the state, Umana Umana, said.
Afraid of such attacks, many supporters of the APC have cowered in the state in the past, doing little to be identified.
Notwithstanding, several Akwa Ibom people reject the impression that majority of the state’s population supports the PDP and Mr. Jonathan.
“Many people here are tired of Akpabio and Jonathan. People are tired,” said Ntiedo Ben, a resident of Uyo, the state capital. “You think people here don’t want change?”
On Tuesday, as it became clear Mr. Buhari was coasting to victory, even before the final announcement by Attahiru Jega, the chairman of INEC, youth and the elderly, brandishing brooms and shouting APC, spilled into the streets of many towns in Akwa Ibom, to celebrate.
“The level of celebration for Buhari here in Akwa Ibom, makes it clear that people felt shackled by Akpabio and now they believe freedom has come,” another resident said.
