A person very dear to me is currently deva*sta*ted after trusting her hard-earned money and family dreams with a travel agent who has completely vanished into thin air. After months of dodging calls and giving false promises, the final piece of the puzzle fell today: their physical office has been completely demo*lished, and they have absconded with no relocation notice.

⚠️ THE MODUS OPERANDI (HOW THEY OPERATE)

1. The Hook: David Akinola Jibola-Michaels uses his social media and WhatsApp status updates to run advertisements, promising smooth immigration, student visas, and visitor visas to different countries.

2. The Commitment Fee: He demands a down payment of half of the total money for a start, falsely promising a contract clause stating that if the process fails after 15 months, a full refund will be issued and if successful, you pay the remaining balance.

3. The Extortion: Midway through the process, after mismanaging the initial applications, he fabricates new financial demands extorting an almost NGN600,000 under the guise of English test fees and WES evaluations for dependents.

4. The Ghosting Technique: Once payment is made, communication drops. For over 3 months, he completely ignored calls and emails from his existing client. Shockingly, while he was deliberately ignoring this client, he was actively responding to new prospective clients from different numbers to keep pulling more people into the trap.

5. The Delay Tactics: When cornered via email, he legally committed in writing to making a full refund within 6 weeks. That deadline has since elapsed and he has refused to pay, deactivated his lines, and stopped responding.

🛑 THE SHOCKING DISCOVERY AT MENDE, LAGOS
A physical visit to their official operational base at No 2 Salami St, Mende, Lagos revealed the horrifying reality: The building has been demolished. There is no relocation sign, no forward address, and no operational tracking. The neighborhood reactions and stares make it clear: Multiple people are coming to this location daily looking for their stolen millions.

This is no longer a delayed business transaction; this is a calculated evasion and cross-border immigration sc*am.

A man has been arrested in Odo Pako, Akeja, Ogun State, following allegations that he s+xually ass@ulted a six-year-old girl.

According to reports, the incident occurred on Sunday, October 4. The suspect who reportedly came to the area to pray at a mosque and, after the prayer, he allegedly approached the little girl and inserted his f+nger into her private area.

The man was reportedly apprehended by residents, who stripped him during the confrontation before later handing him over to the police for further investigation

On Sunday, the 12th of January 2025, I returned from my trip in the east. I took a Sienna from Berger Bus stop going to Ajah, Lagos.

A lady on hijab carrying a baby was the last person to arrive. She sat in the middle while I sat close too the door. I alighted around Lekki. Her bag was on top of mine so the driver brought it down together with mine but forgot to put hers back inside.

My attention was on the Bolt guy I was chatting with to notify him that I was waiting. When I looked up. I noticed the extra bag wasn't put in the booth for the owner. I looked around for them but they were not in my sight anymore.

I thought of leaving the bag at that spot (which wasn't a bus stop anyway) but feared it will enter the wrong hand. So I took it home with the hope of going to Berger within the week which I did. I tried to check the things at the top of the bag to see if I'll get a contact or have any clue but sadly, there wasn't.

I've been feeling bad and thinking what the woman may be passing through. It wasn't an intentional act. I've been to Ajah and Berger a couple of times and no luck. I met with the NURTW and gave them my contact and no communication yet.

On the 4th of February, 2025, I had to unpack some of the things in the bag so I can post them. I have reached out to some big influencers and blogs and none is giving me audience. Someone recommended NAIRALAND to me which is why I'm posting here today.

Another person recommended reporting to the police but I just don't trust them to handle it better. This is the 5th month and I'm getting tired already. I'm so angry at myself. I came to pick my passport today. It's been 12 days and I didn't receive any sms regarding the readiness of my passport.

So I walked in and did what others were doing. Dropping the tiny piece of paper with some numbers. I was running out of patience and decided to meet an officer who will help check if the passport is ready rather than waste my time there.

He said it is not free since I want it fast tracked. He requested for 2k to be hidden inside a paper which I did. As he left, I followed him to join the rest waiting for theirs. Guess what? My name was being called to collect. Don't know where the man is so I can collect my money back. ���

I suspect result is out. I was just asked to provide my exam number by a relative now. I'm waiting for a feedback on what next!

I had 6 questions left to submit. I was timed out. The logical/math problem wasted my time. Going to Onitsha then to Lagos. I pray for Good luck and safe travels to everyone (Including myself)

Thank you all for the help. I tried again today at Ikoyi passport office. Started with the NIN. I was given a number tag. After which we went in for capture. Then NIN slip was printed. I laminated.

I took it to servicom. I was given some papers to photocopy. Iwas also told to photocopy my passport page and the NIN slip I was given.

Proceeded to going to different offices for signatories. Then another capture for the passport reissue. I was told to come back after two weeks. Pls is it possible to get it before then? My travel date is 14th Dec.

I'm at Ikoyi office now. I took a new passport 8 copies (N500). The forms I printed were rejected and the business thief printed two pages of what I initially had. (just the processing information missing). I was charged N1000.

They said my interview date as reflected in my doc is 14th Dec. I had to tell them my travel date is 13th night. He gave me a tough time but reconsidered.

I submitted my old passport, the officer in charge said I'll need a national ID card. I'm currently there and they are saying they've closed for the day. Me that came very early.

Every poster keeps saying service is free. But the attitude of the officers are speaking a different language if you try to follow due process. I'm beyond tired
