US Nurse faints live on TV minutes after getting Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine

A Tennessee nurse fainted live on television just 17 minutes after getting the Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine.

Nurse Tiffany Dover was among the first nurses in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to receive the vaccine.

She was having an interview with local news outlet News Channel 9 when the incident occurred.

'It's really... I'm sorry I'm feeling really dizzy. I'm sorry...' she said as she suddenly started feeling unwell before dropping to the ground with two colleagues rushing to catch her.

After recovering, she and her colleagues insisted it had nothing to do with the vaccine but a condition that causes her to collapse when she feels pain.

'It is a reaction that can happen very frequently with any vaccine or shot,' said Dr. Jesse Tucker, Medical Director of critical care medicine at CHI Memorial, who also received the vaccine.

Video of Celebrity hairstylist, Destiny’s shop tossed over by his landlord has caught the attention of Nigerians and is quickly going viral.

According to Destiny, he has worked in the shop for the past 5 years and has never owned the landlord until the outbreak of COVID-19 that led to the lockdown of the country.

He said the closure of shops during the lockdown period is the reason for his inability to pay his rent and his landlord is not buying that as a reason thus why he destroyed his shop.

In the video, the shop was tossed upside down with most working materials destroyed.

The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva, says Nigerians should be proud that the Federal government is importing refined petrol from neighbouring Niger Republic.

Niger Republic is one of the poorest nations in the world but has succeeded in developing its refinery to produce at a greater capacity than its very rich neighbour, Nigeria.

Last week, the Federal government through the Ministry of Petroleum Resources has signed a memorandum of understanding with the government of Niger Republic for the importation of petroleum products.

The decision angered many Nigerians, who described it as an act of retrogression for the country.

Responding to the backlash, Timpre in an interview with Channels TV on Monday, November 23, said there is nothing to be embarrassed at all.

James Brown and others free like a bird as Lagos Court strikes out homosexuality charges

A federal court in Lagos Tuesday, October 27,2020, struck out charges of homosexuality filed against 47 persons in November last year.
.
The judge, Rilwan Aikawa said the charges against the defendants lacked “diligent prosecution” by the police.According to him, J.I Ebhoremen, the prosecuting counsel, was, for the umpteenth time, absent from court and gave no reasonable explanation.

The defence counsel, Israel Usman, had noted that it was the ninth time Mr Ebhoremen did not show up in court since the case started in 2019. He pointed the judge’s attention to Section 356(5) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015 which provided a maximum of five adjournments at the instance of the prosecution in a criminal trial.

In his ruling, Mr Aikawa held, “I agree entirely with defendants’ counsel that the prosecution’s attitude to this case is not satisfactory. In my view, this should not be. If the prosecution has a cogent reason not to be in court, he should have communicated in writing to the court and copy the defence counsel.
.
For whatever reason, the prosecution is no more capable or not willing to prosecute this case. Consequently, this case is struck out due to lack of diligent prosecution.”
.
.
Recall that in August 2018, armed police officers stormed a hotel in Egbeda, a suburb of Lagos, at around 2 a.m. and arrested 57 youth including celebrated Cross dresser, James Obialor aka James Brown,for alleged homosexual activity.
