Bro those relating to one's biographic details(age,marital status, and/or history of issues of inadmissibility thats the kind of lies u dont wanna tell especially if u once appplied with certain info(your initial biographic info stays in their database) and not info of whether your uncle or relative is or no longer in the United States....!! Just so you knw there are even some aspects of inadmissibility that can be pardoned/waived after a while such as fake documents and/or misrepresentation issues..!! Issues of espionage,terrorism,human trafficking cannot be pardoned... u hear bro

MamaOO:

Lies, no matter how minute will always find a way to catch up with you. If you do not know, lies are so hard to maintain, you have to keep telling lies over lies to cover up for one lie.

It’s on here that I read about someone that was denied renewal of a visa based on a lie that they told around 10years prior. People have been stripped of citizenships because they lied on their application or somewhere along the line. Before you lie, ask yourself “Is it worth it? Will I be okay suffering the consequences if I am eventually found out?” Peace.

Lying and twerking information is so easy to do nowadays.... I wonder why people don't think things deeply/thoroughly instead of putting yourself in unnecessary trouble.
If it's necessary the U.S Embassy will investigate the uncle and if there's something amiss they won't issue the visa... Getting the white paper at the embassy does not mean you will get the visa.

See make I tell u VO no go give u visa cos u tell the truth that is unacceptable..!! I don’t think u know as things be up here now unlike b4 wey OBAMA dey for throne... change is transient so VO understands that.. also interviews don’t last so much a time except your presented document appears spurious and/ or bogus... talking from experience bro..
Worst case u fit tell them he moved back to Naija to establish his business simple!! They really like to hear you returned/returning back to naija.. America no gbadun migration again oo

.. Congrats..! U guys were able to prove your strong ties to naija via your awesome stable jobs.. even if u had told them you had a relative in the US their reasoning would be that y’all won’t be leaving your awesome jobs here in naija and chose to start all over again right here in yankee.. !!congrats again

Vo: good morning
Wify and I: good morning

Vo : passport please
Me: passed the passport over to her

Vo: you are a couple
Wify and I: yes

Vo: why are you travelling to the Us
Me: for a short family vacation

Vo: where do you work
Me: I work at the federal ******

Vo: what position
Me: Administrative officer

Vo: you have been to London before( saw that from my old passport
Wify and I : yes

Vo: did you go there for schooling
Wify and I: we went on a vacation

Vo: how long have you been working sir
Me: 6years

Vo: where do you work ma
Wify: bla bla bla

Vo: what position
Wify: laboratory chemist

Vo: how long have you been working ma
Wify: 6yrs

Vo: tell us about you job
Wify: she started blasting the vo with some chemistry terms

Vo: how do you seperate your samples collect from the drilling mud
Wify : started blasting the Vo again with some terms

Vo: do you have anyone in the united states
Wify and I : no

Vo: brought out the white paper and told us to get our visas from the address circled on the paper next week tuesday.

Wify and I : thank you ma with a broad smile

My little advise is that this visa thing is subjective. Everyone will be interviewed differently. Jst be confident and be clean.
* Dress decent, suit is not compulsory, Na native and sandals I wear. Wify wore a shirt and pant trousers.more than half of those who came in for the interview wore suit and tie or long sleeve and tie.
* most importantly pray for grace and favour. Its very important. My son stated crying when we were on the interview que at the back. When the Nigerian security organizing the que called us " the woman with the crying baby come to the front. He took us straight to the vo who immediately interviewed us. All through my son was crying.
* my wife's passport still has her maiden name while my sons passport has my name.
No single documents checked

Even with @the bolded Franklynx, or you didn't see that?

Don’t be fooled by al that.. things change from time to time your uncle don’t have to be in US all his life..!! He is no longer in the US ..!! Bro use your IQ.. VO got no means of deciphering if he still in the US or not bro..!!

OmoBendel24:

And if asked @the bolded?

Of course ‘I DONT’..!!! Here in the US its no longer business as usual as having a relative here poses threat of immigration intent.. as in your uncle might help u stay back here and they don’t like that any longer.. Fact !! Especially since you ain’t got no strong ties back home in Naija.. u know a mean..??

LegitBachelor:
Should you still fill that you have an uncle this time around? Yes

I think u good to to apply by yourself and not with your mum this time cos I believe you guys are traveling for different reasons plus your situation has changed since 2015 when u got denied as your academic stand has enormously improved. Sure to have your mum joint sponsor you as pensions are less regarded as a proof of financial standing compared to a stable job. Also,your mum is good to apply alongside your kid sister.
As for Qs;
What has changed since your last application;
Where n what school u going to in the US;
Y choose the US and not other country;
How long is your program/course for;
Do u have anyone in the US;
Why you chose your field and your future plans after graduation from the school in US..
Get a basic knowledge about what u studying and y u chose that school;
Who is sponsoring you/paying your tuition n whAt do they do/source of income
And plzzzz don’t tell him u have an Uncle in the US... it’s damn irrelevant n could screw u up..

Good luck!!

Just exactly what I mentioned in the last post just b4 this. Choosing a hotel as a place you be staying is fine as long as you prove/show booking or reservation; telling them also u had a great job showed your strong “Ties to Naija..” Nice job well done!! Congrats..!!

Appointment time was 8:45 am. Got to the embassy around 7:30 am, a family of 4. Went in by 8a.m. We were directed to meet a young Lady after waiting on the queue for Passport Scanning and Fingerprint

All of us: Good morning

V.O: Hello Guys

V.O: What is your relationship

Myself: Family

V.O: Where are you going in the United State

Myself & Wife: New York City

V.O : Where will you be staying in New York

Myself: xxxxxx Hotel in New York City

V.O: Has this been booked

Myself: Yes

V.O: Where do you work ?

Myself: xxxxxx Bank as ..........

V.O: Mentioned some of your clients

Myself: Mentioned about 4 names and asked her if she is okay or I should just continue. At this point she was looking at my face and mentioned that she is fine

V.O: How long have you been working there

Myself: About 6 years, 5 Years 8 months precisely

V.O: Are you with the company introduction letter

Myself: Not here but I have the ID Card and my Call Card her. Ask if she would like to see it but she said NO

To my wife

V.O : Where do you work

Wife: Mentioned the name of the company

V.O: For How long

Wife: About 1 year

To both of us

V.O : Have you travelled out of the country before

Both: Yes, we went to Ghana last year Easter Period for our Family Vacation

V.O: She checked all the International Passport to confirm it.

V.O: Do you have relative in the US

Both: NO

She started typing for a while , raised her face and asked again, Do you have family in the US?

Chorus Answer : NO

V.O : Your visa has been approved, took out the white paper and circle the collection centre.

I hurriedly collected the white paper, carried my daughter while my wife carried our son who both seated on the basement through out the period of the interview which lasted for about 5 minutes.

The only travel experience we had was a road trip to Ghana last year as wife just started working and was not entitled to leave. Thus, we had to ensure we came back on Easter Monday so that she could go to work on Tuesday.

My Learning Point was that we were not under any pressure because we have made up our mind that if we did not get it we would travel to another country.

We give glory to the Almighty GOD for the Grace and we say congrats to all the brains behind this forum.

You Re on point.actually visa with honeymoon.

I really dont get on here very often but i will tell you that you are good as long as you have a hotel confirmation and a strong explanation why u chose a hotel and/hotel location instead of listing a relative's abode. This surely adds to your self dependence as far as expenses is concerned which is a very good thing. I would advice you state 2 weeks as maximum stay in the United States. I.e u still gon be issued 6 months regardless. Show that u have strong ties back home and an outstanding job n u good 2 go
Travel / Re: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by franklynx(m): 5:26pm On Jan 24, 2018
Let me add to your knowledge: The major reason one is approved or denied visa is ability or inability to prove "STRONG TIES"(Family,job,landed properties,businesses, etc) once u can convincingly prove this then you're 70% sure of getting it..

Thanks for the reply have gone through the thread now my other question is what document should I take there
Will my wedding certificate be required since d name on my passport is not my husband name and am not traveling with him

It depends on couple things;
Firstly, was u married before applying for passport or the other way around..? If it was the former then thats not good cos it becomes questionable as to y it wasn't so on your passport; if its the latter then proof of marriage (marriage certificate ) and/or birth certificate of children would take care of this..
