I opened my own block account too on the 23rd of August and it took them 2 weeks and 2 days before they sent to me,making it 12 working days. Just chill and relax your mind,they will send to you soon.........................It is well

what link did you use? The one the embassy sent me is written in Deutsch, and no english quarry to click on.

bunburized: I was at the german embassy yesterday to authenticate photocopies of my credentials so I can send them to uni-assist as well as german institutions I wish to apply for their masters programme as suggested by some members of this forum.
However, the person I met there insisted I show proof that I want to apply for admission to a german institution before they can "sight"/authenticate the documents.
It is either I haven't understood the procedures as directed by some people here or the man just wanted to be difficult.
He turned me back and requested I come back with proof before they can do anything.
Please house I need help and answers asap.
Firstly, what exactly constitute proof?
I need someone to explain what I need to do exactly as I am totally new to this.
I am yet to apply to any university but I want to send my documents to uniassist in time so they can evaluate my credentials before the admission into the summer programme begins.
I hope to go back there tomorrow so I need direction as to what I can do to have my documents autheticated at the embassy.

I had that experience somtime this year. Till a kind lady gently explained it 2 me. If you are applying to uni-assist, fill the application form online, print it, sign it nd take it 2 the embassy alongside the document you want 2 authenticate.

olaoluphilip: Please I need information about University of Bonn, I intend to pursue an MSc in Computer Science there. I also have someone planning an MSc in Geology too at University of greifswald. We plan to go next Summer Semester. We already have basic info, but need more info abt the institutions, how competitive the schools are, the cities and anything that can aid our admission. We both finished with a Second Class Upper at a Nigerian Federal University in Nigeria

They actually were going to book an appointment for me. I changed my mind though cos am in Dubai now and for family reasons, I defered to Summer. German embassy is the best

emeka55: Nice response u gave that German guy. Berliners are known for their rudeness anyway, even germans themselves say it. It is better in the west though and many of them don't necessarily make face-face racial comments but they just show it by the way they stare and not being friendly. Berliners have a reputation for being rude even to White people and expats in general. Many of them have much hate also for the british/irish tourists. Germans are not really open and not too friendly but their rudeness is a general thing to everyone not only blacks. And they stare too much. An american guy once told me he hates Germany cos when one goes to a restaurant to eat, it takes forever to get served and germans don't mind waiting

You do not need to backdate anything.Yes let it be registered and get your receipt so that your documents look more perfect.

I had a lawyer to get me a sworn affidavit of "change of first name spelling" from the court, but the guy no give me receipt o.does d embassy request for receipt? Please, I need to know, so i'd go n get it or swear anoda 1

O men, I got rejected in 1 of d schools o, they said somtin like my 1st degree is inappropriate for the course I applied for. But am waiting for the other school. Amanda6: if the course is in english u don't need german.and yes it apply to english, whether its in german, english, igbo, yoruba, if they say its restricted the rule apply. But u have 2 have a super good grade because the reason these courses are ristricted is because there a too many applicant and less seat for them, thats y only 6-8% international. What course do u want to study.i don't know if masters have restricted course,but u say urs do, so ok, but check if its state restricted, school restrict, or nation wide restriction like that of medicine.nation wide is harder to get in than any other 1.

I applied for MSc structural Chemistry and Spectroscopy, Universität leipzig. It's a Numerus clausus, based on aptitude test. Uni-assist graded me 1.4; so am hoping on somting good.

Amanda6: what course do u want to study,u need to know german c1 or c2 there is no english undergrad that i know of. if its in course like medicine that is a restricted course i would advice c2 or testdaf 4 or 5 in the exam because it is very competitive can u belive in resisted courses only 6-8% are international maximum of 2 people each from a country, thats what i have heard and u need A level of AAA or AAB. thats 4 medicine and other restricted course sha. check if urs is restricted.

sorry, this admission condition for restricted courses, does it apply to masters courses taught in english? Cos I applied for an admission restricted course, taught in english.

Godson201333: Actually it is called "Travel Insurance Certificate" which covers both your heath repatriation and lost of lugage and so on..Incase you fall sick the company will be in charge and should you lost your bagage or something,the company will take care of it,So its means the-same thing and thats just what the agency or immigration needs to see.

So just to b clear, the travel insurance certificate, is the "health insurance" tingy you present @ the embassy to. Collect your VISA? The one I can get from IGI,AIICO etc?

Please mr Godson, can u throw more light on this travel insurance tin? I know of the health insurance u'd present to collect ur student VISA at d embassy, but I don't know of the travel insurance. Can you briefly explain? Tanx
