They are always unfriendly...I was there and I have a friend studying there .

Don't blame them because they hardly receive foreigners and many have never seen blacks before and also they are racist.

Your chances of surviving there is low because they are poor,They are depending on west Germany economy.

After graduations you might be useless even though Germany has re unite the politics is still going on and on ....qq?

West Germany is nice and lovely and rich that's why life is very expensive there and full of arrogant people.

Northern Germany I knew of Bremen...Berlin is one of the cheapest and Hamburg.

State of Bayern ,Berlin,rhineland palatinate and Baden wuttermberg very expensive and lively.you can integrate very fast.But please be straight with them when it comes to paper work.If you don't go to school then ya done cos your school will report you.


Racism is still in Germany and you can never blame them for this but some stupid people spoil good people.Go to some club and they will tell you it is full.its a lie but thy don't want to see you cos ya black.

You will never get all these fact unless you are very outgoing.sit in the train and nobody will come sit near you most especially in all these northern and eastern states.

Many of our brothers does nothing here than fighting.

In life we face challenges and racism is everywhere even in USA.so don't be bothered,Germans are very welcoming and they likes student so much cos they see you prosperous.

For Bayern beer is cheaper than bottle water,I use to be a very good reverend father but now I can't do without Beer.Just be a good student and you still a lot of things working out for you and always happy.

If you like traveling,You can always plan some short trips cos if you come to Germany and you don't like seeing places then you are jonzing.....

Hmmm! My school gave me a deadline of 18th october, but my interview is on the 8 october. I won't meet up, but I still intend going anytime b4 30 th. My case is peculiar tho, my admission Was decided on the 9th of september. I just wish I won't wait for long after my interview.

I have problem with booking an appointment. I mailed the embassy with my confirmation from deutsche bank, copy of my passport and admission letter but no response has been received from them. I send the mail Thursday last week. Please advice what to do.

. Ask your school to send them an email. That's what I did n it worked. However, you can still send them a mail.

My school said 15th october is the latest date, and my interview is on the 8th of october. Am just keeping my fingers crossed.

Godson201333: If things goes well then you might not have any problem...The foreign office here might want to disturb you for late arrival when you go there for extension but all thesame..work hard + pray hard..

It is always good to arrive here ahead so that you have less stress.Wait until you hear from embassy first.

first my school, universitat leipzig, took their decision on the 9th of september, and i got a pdf 2 days later (11th of october cos i was not initially notified via e-mail, i just mailed them and was replied with a pdf). The letter says that i may register on the 30th september or 1st,2nd and 4th of october. i filled for a blocked account on Monday, 16th October. i mailed the embassy for an appointment date and they declined, saying i should defer to summer( the course no get summer); then i had to contact the school to mail the embassy on my behalf, which they did..... To cut the story short, i was later booked for 8th October(blocked account should be ready then). The thing is, if all things go psitive, my ViSA would be ready by probably 3rd week of october, which is definitely after the end of the registration period. i just feel it will be too late for me and i dont want to assume there should be grace on the resumption date given to international student. Abeg, guys over there, what do you think about grace given for resumption?

another particular scare is the content of the email the sent to the embassy, which i translated via google:

"Dear Ms. Renee Delouvain, I am writing to you in the case of xxxxx. Mr. xxxx could be admitted for the winter semester 2013/14 in the waiting list for the program in Structural Chemistry and Spectroscopy at the University of Leipzig. I would appreciate if you could if possible give him a date for his student visa. A letter of acceptance for the summer term can not be issued and he could apply again only in one year. Thank you in advance. Sincerely yours"

dmitroika: nothing to worry about brother, you can only be 'admitted' after 'enrolment' which is what we call 'registration' here in Nigeria. so as long as they have given you admission you are on the school's waiting list until when you enroll at the school and commence lectures. the same applies to all students. this is my answer to the best of my knowledge..

Really, what's the letter for, assurance? I don't think the fellow needs that. He/She should just go and convince the consul, and that's all!

If u tell them you are resuming on the 14th of October, they won't book you, in fact they'll ask u to defer.
Tell your school to send them an email. The embassy will ask you of when you planned resuming, tell them last week of october. But seriuosly 14th oct no go possible. When was the person offered the admission?
My own case the admission. Came late, 9th sept.

I dint meet anyone that was given a rejection letter. Though he was there before me, as early as 6 am, but I. Got there by 11 pm for a blocked account application. So I dint meet any1 dat got a rejection letter.

We actually boarded the same bus home. The guy finished secondary school since 2003 and wants to go for BSc now. They gave him biology and Maths.
I just pray for him the result will be good.

But the embassy gave one of my friend a rejection letter yesterday and one other girl. The crowd at the German embassy is too much.
Can embassy give me visa before 1st of October because my course is starting on 1st October.
