Amanda6: to most german uni nigeria is not in the category that u can use fact that u study in english in sec skul and waive the requirement, so it better to do the toefl exam. The countries considered r uk,usa, canada and australia as english is their firs language. I don't know about ur skul, just email them 2 b on d safe side.
Ya. You are very right...and It's annoying cos we speak english better than profs sef, n even their students learning in English struggle during presentations.....

impactglobe: in such a case that school refuse to handover transcript to someone, is it ADVISABLE for such a person to send other docs while the school send the transcripts seperately? pls no yab, pls. keep the thread going!
Send other documents and allow your school to send the transcript. If you are applying through uni-assist or if were issued an application number, make sure you quote it alongside other information to your school. That will enable the foreign university to sort it out. That's what I did and it worked.
All the best!
My 2 slaps!!

styles2009:

@ All regular members of this thread, IMHO people, who come here are mostly novice in this German school preparation and they are bound to ask questions but what is GO and read 266 pages, then come back here and ask question.

Have you all taught about new updates or changes in the old admission process written in the 266 pages on this thread? To me its not like You are helping telling newbies here to go read the whole thread, its pure Arrogance.

What happen to STFU or simply tell them, what you know and they move on, Common guys because you suffered to get the information doesn't mean everyone looking for the same information would go through the same route.

Lastly, not that the newbies are lazy to read the whole 266 pages, some don't even have internet to scroll up and down like you do from your Studentenwohnheim.

Like i would always say, its either you give people free information or the other part, i guess you know it better.
Cheers.
In as much as I agree with you that the idea of telling people to check pages or scroll could be frusstrating, some questions are so so annoying on first sight. For example," what's uni-assist postal address?"..... What's that? People should at least do simple research. No offence man

Joexzy: pls frank, in your application did you use toefl or you used a letter from ministry of education. thanks
I used both. Toefl and a letter from my school. I applied to two schools. 1 of them required toefl and the other, just any evidence of english language.
It's safer you do toefl, it gives you an edge.

I don't think so, but you can always leave the east to the west after your studies. A friend of mine finished from cottbus, brandenburg, but now works in freiburg as a research assistant. One step at a time, bro!

Unfortunately this thread is not meant for sexuality gossips. Tell me what there is to learn after u suggested the German and Chinese guy were gay cos they decided to help him. If that was what Tope, Godson, Futurewise, kelly4top were discussing when u joined the thread, would u have stayed longer to learn about studying in Germany?
U can discuss anything u want but this is not the thread for gay topics. Our focus is on helping each other with info about studying and moving to Germany. Don't derail it.
By the way, the Mayor of Berlin is gay. Perhaps u could discuss that too since it is part of intellectual and social skills "according to you" and it will add to ur credentials when applying for visa.

No 2 spoons for u...
Lol...... Emeka emeka emeka. I ge gbu madu here o

Brother have u done tour enrolment? If you have the university should have given u a temporary I'd card by now. With that you don't have to pay for trams in ur region. Cos that is how it works here in Thuringia
It's kinda different here. U buy a semester ticket with your university I.d card. I Intend doing that on monday.

Good to hear. You are tempting me o! Science na my life... Wanted EE but due to my first degree, I'm considering biomedical engineering or bioinformatik.

what's the course you went for? and which city in Germany? I like the hospitality.
It doesn't matter the city bro. I mean, aroyemi is in thuringa, central germany and am in saxony, east germany, places considered to be a bit unfriendly but ve been having help right from the train station to my room here. Yesterday, I wanted to buy ticket for the TRAM but the machine was rejecting my coin. A lady came out of the blues to assist me. She had to take her time to sort out the right change to buy ticket with..... My point, it doesn't matter the city joor! But make your choice.

aroyem4u: Okay. So I arrived in Germany monday night. Its been mixed feelings. Very organised society but this place isn't for lazy people at all. Please don't come if u r lazy. Academics is also tight. Am sure u won't be seeing Godson Tope and other frequent helpers often again as academics can be really demanding. You will do well to keep ur optimism cautious because it is really not rosy from what I have seen. Make sure when u apply for admision in a school you also apply for a studentenwerk accomodation simultanously.
What I have enjoyed the most dis past days is the tram bus. Realy cool. And yea, almost everyone almost everywhere is smoking cigarette....
Lol! Same here as per the cigarrete tin o. Finally got to leipzig yesterday. One nice guy I met 2day, the 1st thing he did was to offer me a cigarette but the guy nice die, same with others I met.
My Chinese flat mate want use help kill me sef, so tay I com tire 4 d help. Germany is really a nice place.....
Tschuss guys!
