We are not buying the gas but we are producing it ourselves and including the household biogas plant for sale.
U can use poultry, pig, goat or even human excreta in your toilet and it will still produce biogas.
We have a system that purifies and upgrades it to
NG - Natural gas which is 90%+ Methane but because we don't compress it, we can't call it CNG.

Methane burns cleaner than butane/propane mix with full beautiful blue flame.

I am a specialist in gases - biogas, CBG, LNG, CNG, purification, upgrading, compression.

The gas cookers you see here can run on both methane and butane/propane mix.

LNG (Liquified natural gas) is a mix of Propane and Butane. I think in Nigeria we have more Butane than Propane in the mix
and in the UK they have the other way, more propane than Butane in the mix. it has to do with the temperatures of these 2 different countries. UK is cold and they don't want their gas to freeze in the cylinder. Nigeria is hot and we don't want the gas to explode in the cylinder.
Hence the changes.
Our cookers have been designed to use it well, mix with air and burn. You can buy a UK cooker and it will work here In Nigeria.

CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) is basically Methane.
It burns at a low temperature. Ie, you need more of it to burn same rate as Propane/Butane mix.
So if you use it in a cooker, it will just blow out and quench.
There are special cookers that can use it.. Maybe in the US or something.
Some people have made the mistake of buying a fancy gas cooker from the US designed for CNG (methane),
...not reading the specifications and then shitting in their pant with surprise when the cooker doesn't work
with our gas in Nigeria.

It's natural gas, just note that it's not from petroleum refining.
Can be from cracks in the ground or natural decaying waste.
Have u ever heard about biogas which is obtainable from decaying waste or dung?
If you purify and compress biogas, you get CNG.
I am presently using purified biogas collected in gas bags for cooking and running my generator from cow dung and kitchen waste.
With a quality compressor, I can compress it and put into gas cylinders for use in vehicles or cooking.
This is CNG.

That's the first thing that occured to me. A lot of Niger Republic and Mali citizens live legally and illegally in the far North of Nigeria and have some family ties with those of their kith and kin in the Northern states.

However, displaying some crappy Russian flags will NOT solve the immediate security and economic challenges in the North. Once the cheaper CNG fuel stations and CNG vehicles are deployed, the cost of transportation of food items and passengers will drop by 60 percent and reduce hyperinflation. From August 2024, Dangote Petrochemical Refinery too will be able to export excess PMS and other products to earn massive FX into the coffers of the Central Bank of Nigeria thereby making the Naira to appreciate massively.

If the CNG fuel deployments from NNPC costing N200 per standard cubic feet at the NNPC fuel stations and Dangote Petrochemical Refinery FX inflows from exports are NOT implemented, then NOTHING will work in the short to medium-term in the Nigerian economy.

Only 3 countries refine crude oil in Africa, and Nigeria is one of them with the 2 others in North Africa, so, Nigerians should be happy about that and count your blessings. The solutions are right in front of MANY but impatience is NOT making these people to see it. Period.
