Romance › Do Handsome Men Cheat More? by Free(op): 5:36pm On Feb 26, 2006
Cute Guyz Cheat More?

My friend and I were talking the other day, and she seems to think that cute guys always cheat but the less attractive don't.

I say you can't just say cute men cheat because the less attractive men cheat also. It doesn't matter if he's good looking or not because both kinds are liable to cheat if they wants to.

Who do y'all agree with? or do y'all have a different opinion?

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - Holding that side of fries might help thwart type 2 diabetes, new research suggests.

In a long-term study of nearly 85,000 U.S. women, researchers at Harvard University found that those with the highest potato intake had a modestly elevated risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

The link was strongest among obese women, who are already at increased risk of the disease, suggesting that heavy potato consumption may pose a particular problem for them, the researchers point out.

The findings are published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

Though potatoes have healthful attributes, they also have a high glycemic index (GI) -- meaning they cause a rapid, strong rise in blood sugar. Over time, these surges may damage the pancreatic cells that produce the hormone insulin, which is needed to metabolize blood sugar.

Overweight or sedentary adults may be particularly vulnerable to the effects of high-GI foods because they often have underlying insulin resistance -- a precursor to diabetes in which body cells lose their sensitivity to insulin.

So it would make sense for these individuals to lay off the french fries, Thomas L. Halton, the lead author of the new study, told Reuters Health.

He and his colleagues found that women with the highest potato intake were 14 percent more likely than those with the lowest intake to develop diabetes over 20 years. And women who ate the most french fries, specifically, had a 21 percent greater risk of diabetes than those who ate the fewest.

Overall diet and other lifestyle habits did not explain the link, and potatoes seemed to be more problematic when a woman ate them instead of whole grains.

Whole grains -- as well as many high-fiber vegetables, fruits and legumes -- have a lower GI than potatoes and white-flour products. So eating those foods in place of potatoes, Halton's team concludes, could potentially cut diabetes risk.
Health › Coffee May Lower Risk Of Type 2 Diabetes by Free(op): 5:10pm On Feb 26, 2006
NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - Moderate consumption of caffeinated or decaffeinated coffee may lower the risk of type 2 diabetes in middle-aged and younger women, according to a new report.

Dr. Rob M. van Dam from the Harvard School of Public Health, Boston, and colleagues evaluated the consumption of different types of coffee in relation to the development of type 2 diabetes in more than 88,000 US women followed in the Nurses Health Study II.

In general, higher coffee consumption, both caffeinated and decaffeinated, was associated with a lower risk of type 2 diabetes, the team reports in the medical journal Diabetes Care. The reduction in risk was 13 percent with one cup of coffee per day, and as much as 47 percent with four or more cups.

The reduced risk of type 2 diabetes was limited to filtered coffee and instant coffee, the report indicates, whereas consumption of espresso or percolator coffee did not significantly reduce the risk.

"I would not recommend people to start consuming coffee to reduce their risk of type 2 diabetes," van Dam told Reuters Health. Nevertheless, he added, "it seems that in general people drinking moderate amounts of paper-filtered coffee don't have to worry about detrimental health effects."

The team has recently seen "that coffee components other than caffeine may improve glucose metabolism," van Dam added. "Therefore, studies that attempt to identify these coffee components would be of interest and could lead to the development or the selection of coffee types with greater health benefits."

I'll Trust You, Lord lyrics

Artist - Donnie Mcclurkin
Album - Various Songs
Lyrics - I'll Trust You, Lord

I know that faith is easy when everything is going well
But can you still believe in Me when your life's a living hell?
And when all the things around you seem to quickly fade away
There's just one thing I really want to know

Will you let go? (I'll trust you, Lord)
Will you stand on My word? (I'll trust you, Lord)
Against all odds will you believe what I have said? (I'll trust You, Lord)
What seems impossible , (I'll trust You, Lord)
Will you believe? (I'll trust You, Lord)
Every promise that I made will you receive? (Yes, I will trust You, Lord)

I know how bad it hurt you when that loved one's life came to an end
And when they had to leve you, you said you'd never love again
But will you trust that I can help you and I'll never turn away?
Will you trust Me, child, no matter, come what may?

What if it hurts? (I'll trust You, Lord)
What if you cry? (I'll trust You, Lord)
What if it doesn't work out the first time that you try? (I'll trust You, Lord)
What if you call My name , (I'll trust You, lord)
And you don't feel Me near? (I'll trust You, Lord)
Will you believe in Me or will you fear? Oh, my child?
(Yes, I will trust, You Lord)

I will trust (3x)
