Jobs/VacanciesRe: Its Either You Are On First Class Or 2:1.... by FrenchyL(m): 8:44am On Oct 25, 2015

Its so pathetic and demoralizing that we leave in a country where certificate is the most sort after by our indigenous firms and even foreign firms. I sat down after going through NYSC and My parents are already looking at me in 3D as regards what's next.

I submitted my spiral bind C.V but the Secretary of that firm quickly glanced through my details but was disappointed to see 2:2 (3.32 CGPA) which stated in it and told me straight-up that I shouldn't be expecting a call!! I was pissed off, do u mean 3.32 CGPA is a poor result? I just went out and up till now after 3month no call from them.

The question is where are we going in this country? Two(2) factors all companies display while placing recruitment adverts; Your Age (24yrs nd below) and supposed good grade (1st class or 2:1). Now tell me are graduates with 2:2 really that lazy while in school? The Answer is simply 'NO' so many factors are really involved, I've seen a brilliant guy in school who felt sick on the day of his set last papers which sucked his GP heavily.

If you've got your 1st class or 2:1 and you are gainfully employed in a cool company with good pay lucky you and I wish you all the best, for those still looking out for a good job the lord shall answer "OUR" prayers but doing something with your saved Allawee is not a bad idea anyway!!

Happy Weekend!!

Tbliss12
I have a 3rd class but i have only worked for Multinationals since my undergraduate days. The summary of the matter is this: It is not about having a First class or 2:1, it is about knowing that your life is not dependent on some piece of paper but on the Grace of God. I am a witness and i want you to know that it can be your case also. I never even allow the class of my certificate bother me. I only focus in the direction i want my life to go and i do not waver.

I wish you the best in your future quest.

CelebritiesRe: Peter And Paul Okoye Tell Why They Have Not Been To Church Since 2007 by FrenchyL(m): 11:04am On Jun 12, 2015
If this is their reason then they have it all mixed up. The reason for going to church is to receive the word of God. Nothing should take the place of it. Even if 3 million eyes stare at them, it still doesnt change anything. If the focus is on Jesus Christ, then they will brush aside the distractions, even though i must acknowledge that they do exist. In the words of Steve Covey: The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing.

She is a Yoruba Nigerian in every aspect you can think of. Both parents are Yoruba, she was born in Nigeria, bears a Yoruba name, what else do you want?
I am sure if she was named for something worthwhile, you would have been quick to celebrate her Yorubaness.
The angle i am coming from is that she did not grow up here. If she has spent that much time in the Uk, then i guess she should be a citizen by now. I might be wrong but...#JustSaying....
PoliticsRe: Meet The First Nigerian Female ISIS Terrorist by FrenchyL(m): 4:02pm On May 05, 2015
I honestly do not see what makes her a Nigerian.. No right thinking Nigerian would be so myopic.. huh huh huh furthermore, she does not even know anything about the country she claims to come from. She is British joor!

Meeeeeeen, I hate this country sometimes angry

It's fvcking unbearable at Lekki Axis. I've just about given up, cause there's no way I'm gonna waste my whole day on a queue, that's if they're even selling.

There's also no way I'm buying black market petrol that might contain who knows what huh

Just gonna sit at home and try to be productive sad
I just cant stand the traffic lockdown because of elusive fuel. I spent close to 5 hours in traffic today, burning the little fuel i have. Meanwhile the black marketers are just a bunch of extortionists!! Which way Nigeria? For how long are we going to continue experiencing this poo?

SWDude:
Where I live, I have Igbo and Yoruba neighbours. I prefer the Igbo neighbour to the Yoruba. But when it comes to this "No man's land" matter, I detest it. It is provocative. You people keep saying we hate you, you guys need to check yourselves.
I personally believe that respect is reciprocal and that all men ought to be respected irrespective of where they live. Unfortunately that is not the case here. While i do not want to sound like a cracked CD, it is about time , that we as Nigerians see things beyond ethnic lines. This is the major problem we have as a nation. We just have to deliberately find a way around it, peacefully.

I hope he has learnt a lesson. Don't be a sell out. Put the Yorubas first next time.
This is the exact kind of thinking that we do not need in Nigeria. It is very sectional and totally unnecessary.
