Hello fellow Nlanders,
i really need to know the title of this song as well as the artist.

some say it is Alexander O'Neal and some say it is kashif. well i don't really know,
i use to have a tape of it but quite suddenly i lost it now i need the number.
i am attaching an audio clip of how i remember the chorus. . .i hope it is audible enough and meaningful for you all to help.

N.B
The forum does not allow for zipped files so i renamed it with an extension of .mp3, please rename to .zip and extract to listen.
please if the right artist is found and posted here kindly mail to wallydon77[at]yahoo[dot]com too.
thanks and peace.

@Freshp,
the 69z is a genuine product according to the strong website http://www.strong-technologies.com/frmProdDetails.aspx?id=316#
I'm just worried about how the trends are going where you have to upgrade your gear every time something else comes to the market.Our communications authorities should try and set standards so that it will take at least 5-10 years before we all migrate to different standards.This will help us channel our resources for other things and reduce our imports for electronic goods *At least that is my little thought* and also we should try and buy the best once and for all.Trust me,you'll save a lot of money in the future.Now the counterfeiters are making so many fake products and putting them on our markets.Everyone should try and look at things twice before making a purchase.Peace!
@swordswifter,
i get your drift. . . it is simply becoming irksome . . .this business of new boxes every time.
well for now i had already set my eye on the 4930(and a dreambox grin ) so it's really doesn't bother me that much as I'm not really a fan of following trends asap-if you get my drift-all the same thanks for the correction.

Is there no Strong 69x can pick their signals if one gets their smartcard? How many decoder person wan get for house?
In fact your 69X and above should pick up their signals when the smart card is inserted. My main problem with them is that even their so called STB does not have a card slot!!!(this is from a fellow nlander) and its not HD as claimed. i just wonder how they want to go about it.

as per the number of decoder one can possess,o man there is no limit o.
just ask the early esteemed members of this forum. . . and you'll understand what I'm about.

@freshp you can be of help too sir.
I know that. . .its just that sometimes its easier to just wait for someone to give a better answer.
as for 66 E and 68 E issue. . .Gadotor is right. that is if its in terms of bigger dish (1.2,1.8 2.4M and above).

when it comes to 90cm dishes and below i think i little tweaking of the dish will be needed.

what kind of dish are deploying for this bird?
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Nairaland FTA Reference Library by freshp(m): 6:21pm On Feb 28, 2011
THIS IS AN INPUT ORIGINALLY ADDED BY ONE OF THE ESTEEMED MEMBERS OF THIS FORUM GEORGE D

When it comes to tracking out-of-footprint birds like nilesat and hotbird, the best ku lnb to use depends on whether you're using a fibre dish or metal (pan) dish. For fibre dishes, fuji lnb remains unbeatable. However if your using pan dishes, you have more options as to which lnb you can use. By far the best so far is invacom 4-way lnb. In the absence of that you can use digisat 0.2db or echosat 0.1db lnb. However, I must be quick to add that the effectiveness of the above lnbs will also depend on the quality of your dish as well as your dish alignment.

Now, a quick word on motorised dishes for out-of-footprint birds: Except you are extremely skillful like master adewest (in season 2 of this thread), if you motorize your dish for nilesat and hotbird, there is always the tendency to sacrifice signal strength and quality on some of the positions. I think that is what you're experiencing right now.

As for the tracking frequency, MTV Arabia or City 7 (11977v, 27500sr) still remains the most reliable tp for tracking nilesat. You can also use orbit showtime 11862v which you are using (but with limited success). If all else fails, you can always fall back to MBC frequency (11938v) which is more stable in cloudy weather.
