Even moms of big people don't care to mingle with the friends of their children. They grace them with a nonchalant, cold hello mostly. So many poor moms too hold their dignity and don't really care for the attention of their son's friends. They put those kids in the position of little ones that can't possibly catch their attention and they move on. I wonder why this one wants to be acknowledged before her son's friends even when they were just driving by. They shouldn't be important to her.

As for the angle you referred to, you understand Nigeria's oppressive nature. Any small respectable job, position or object is often disgraceful in their eyes. That's what I meant by referring to the social structure.
