The switching between 2G to 4G endless may have been the reason for the battery drain.
If you around an area where the network is unstable,go to settings(under sim cards and mobile networks) in your phone and select the frequency (2G,3G,4G) that is stable in that area.. hope this helps

I was concerned. It was dropping in percentage per minute but when I return back to where signal is 4G battery became super dope even under heavy usage

I took my redmi note 4 global to a location where service fluctuate and EDGE is all it got and I notice it drain battery faster like bullet. Infact it went down from 70% to 20% in 45mint but when I return back to my hood with 4G signal, everything normalised.
