PoliticsJarvis Johnson, US Lawmaker, Calls For Nnamdi Kanu’s Release by frndfghtr(op): 8:26am On Dec 14, 2023
Jarvis Johnson, a Democratic member of the Texas house of representatives, has asked the supreme court to order the unconditional release of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

The supreme court is expected to deliver judgment in two separate appeals filed by Kanu and the federal government.

The IPOB leader is seeking release from the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) where he has been since he was extradited from Kenya on June 19, 2021.

In a statement, Johnson said: The consensus of legal opinion, within and outside Nigeria, expects the supreme court to affirm this plethora of judgments and orders”.

The undisputed facts are as follows; MNK was extraordinarily renditioned by the government of Nigeria (GON ) from Kenya on June 27, 2021,” the US lawmaker said.

“Then, and now, he is the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), a non-violent group, advocating for an internationally supervised referendum to resolve the Biafran issue within the Nigeria polity.

“Recently, on October 30, 2023, the high court of Enugu state held that the classification of IPOB as a terrorist group by the GON and the southeast Governor’s Forum contravenes Section 42 of the Nigerian constitution.

It follows that the present and any future treatment of IPOB, its leadership and members as a terrorist group is illegal, and per se, discriminatory. Therefore, there is now no valid legal basis for the continued solitary confinement of MNK.

“Many other Nigerian courts which had previously opined on the matter, including the high court in Umuhia, Abia state; the court of appeals in Abuja, had also reached similar conclusions, and have ordered for the immediate and unconditional release of MNK. There is no pending legal matter against MNK.

“On July 20, 2022, the United Nations Human Rights Council issued an opinion which found that MNK’s solitary confinement was in violation of International Human Rights Conventions to which Nigeria is a signatory and called for his immediate and unconditional release.

“That MNK was extraordinarily renditioned is not in dispute; and that extraordinary rendition is illegal under Nigerian and International Law is also not in dispute.

therefore, call on the Nigerian supreme court to uphold or affirm the considered judgments of its subordinate courts, and of the many International Tribunals, by ordering the immediate and unconditional release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

“This anticipated ruling will hasten the process of restoring confidence in the Nigerian judiciary, of which the supreme court is its apex court.”

EducationDatti Baba-ahmed’s Baze University Banned From Admitting Law Students 4 Five Yrs by frndfghtr(op): 11:58am On Nov 25, 2023
The Acting Secretary and Director of Administration of the Nigerian Law School, Ms Aderonke Osho, disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja, on Friday.

It added that Baze also improperly runs a 3-year law degree for some candidates instead of the accredited 5-year national
Consequently, CLE has banned the university from law admissions for five years in the first instance, saying the period will enable resolving the backlog and compliance issues.

The council said follow-up visits would check if remedies have been implemented before considering lifting the sanction. It notified admission bodies like JAMB to steer prospective students away from the university temporarily.

The blanket moratorium despite the presence of innocent or unsuspecting students and parents has generated criticism. But officials say regulatory oversight must be upheld, promising that the students’ fate would be addressed.

The Acting Secretary and Director of Administration of the Nigerian Law School, Ms Aderonke Osho, who made this known, said, “At its Quarterly Meeting held on November 23, 2023, the Council of Legal Education (CLE) presided over by its Chairman, Chief Emeka Ngige, SAN, OFR considered the report of the Accreditation panel to the Faculty of Law, Baze University, Abuja.

“It emerged from the findings by the Panel led by the Director-General, Nigerian Law School, Prof Isa Hayatu Chiroma, SAN, that: Baze University consistently and most flagrantly had contravened its admission quota of 50 students per session as approved by the Council of Legal Education with the result that the Faculty is currently having a backlog of over 347 law students waiting to be admitted into the Nigerian Law School.

“Since 2017 the Council of Legal Education had grappled with the excesses of Baze University by admitting over 750 law students which ordinarily would have taken about 15 years of admission based on the quota allotted to the University.

“Baze University runs a three (3)-year LL.B programme for some UTME candidates without the approval of National Universities Commission (NUC), Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB and Council of Legal Education.”

The statement further noted that “Under the NUC Minimum Benchmark Academic Standard (BMAS) for law degree programme in Nigerian Universities, Law is a five (5)-year programme for UTME candidates and four (4)-year for Direct Entry students.

“The Council of Legal Education after thorough consideration of these infractions resolved as follows: The imposition of a moratorium on admission of law students to the Faculty of Law, Baze University, Abuja, with immediate effect;

“The moratorium will last in the first instance for a period of 5 years and may be renewed if no satisfactory action is taken to remedy the situation.

“The Council in the interest of the innocent students, parents and guardians will use the 5 year period to find ways to deal with the backlog of law students admitted by Baze University in excess of its

“Follow-up visits will be paid to the university to ascertain the extent of the measures it has taken to remedy the anomalies observed during the accreditation visit.

“The National Universities Commission (NUC), Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Parents, guardians, prospective applicants, and members of the public are hereby put on notice on the status of Baze University Abuja

Curiouscity:
Your 1st paragraph and last paragraph are contradictory.

1. When your sister told you or your family 8 years ago, that her husband abandoned her/children, did you verify? Did you or anyone within the family ask the man? Or you just believed your sister?

2. According to your last paragraph, did the man make any effort to reunite with the wife/kids? If yes, when? 8 years ago or recently?

3. Your sister confirmed that the man is not violent or diabolical, he was only broke. Does this sound logical that a broke man will abandon his loving wife and kids?

My take: Your sister painted the man as evil, you guys believed her without verification. Many families have been ruined by lies from women who couldn't stand by their husband during economic hardship. Except there are more to this story than you have shared.
he have visited my family for reconciliation but sis said she ain't going back that hunger is in the house, he admitted that then he was broke,"

Namaster:
Your sister acted like a fool for breaking up her home because of momentary poverty. She deprived the kids of their father's presence.

If she could train them herself while away from her husband. She could have trained them WITH the husband in the picture.

That said, the man is equally MAD for abandoning his kids for 8 years. Especially, given the fact that one of them was a newly born infant.

He's massively delusional for asking them to return to him. He knew your family house and never bothered to check on his kids for almost a DECADE.

He's insane.

Tell your sister to NOT return to him. The trust in their marriage is dead. Your sister acted like a gold digger who jumped ship when she realized there was no gold. The husband demonstrated his irresponsibility by failing to connect with his kids in 8 years.

Now that he's conquered poverty, he can support his kids with money. Pay for their upkeeps, medical and other bills.

He'll only pay for his KIDS. NOT your sister.

Then, he can spend time (maybe holidays and weekends) with his kids. But as for the marriage, it's dead.

Advise your sister in this way.
So what are you trying to say, what will he do in this case

PoliticsHow Do The Dead Realize They Are Dead? by frndfghtr(op): 9:06am On Nov 01, 2023
Just a reminder...

✅ "Innalillahi wa Innailaihi Rajiun!!!"

✅ The dead person does not realize that he died at the beginning. He feels himself dreaming of death, he sees himself crying, bathing, knotting himself and going down to the grave.

✅ He always has the impression of dreaming when he is piled up on the ground. He then screams but no one hears his scream.

✅ Later, when everyone is dispersed and left alone underground, Allah restores his soul. He opens his eyes and wakes up from his "bad dream". At first, he is happy and grateful that what he was going through was just a nightmare, and now he is awake from his sleep. Then he begins to touch his body, which has just been wrapped in a cloth, questioning it with surprise;

"Where's my shirt, where are my underwear?"

Then he continues: "Where am I, where is this place, why the smell of dirt and mud everywhere, what am I doing here?"

✅ Then he begins to realize that he is underground, and what he is experiencing is not a dream! Yes, he realized he was dead.

He shouts as loudly as possible, and calls: his relatives who, according to him, could save him:

"Razaq... !!!!"
" Abubakar...!!!!
"Abdullahi .... !!!!"
"Khadijah .... !!!!"
"Aisha .... !!!!"
"Uthman .... !!!!"
"Adam....!!!!"
No one answers him. He then remembers that Allah is the only hope right now. He weeps for Him and implores Him while asking His forgiveness;
"Yaa Allah! Yaa Allah! Forgive me, Yaa Allah ... !!!

✅ He screams in an incredible fear that he had never felt before, during his lifetime.*

If he is a good person, two angels with smiling faces will sit him down to comfort him, and then do him the best service.

✅ If he is a bad person, two angels will increase his fear and torture him according to his ugly acts.*

Oh Allah, forgive my sins and the sins of my mother, father, wife, children and all my family and friends.

➡️ Brother and sisters in Islam, you have two options here:

#1. Let this little knowledge only be read here and nothing happens.
#2. Pray for your family

Ya Allah, don't take my life until I'm at my best and ready to meet you 🤲

Knowledge becomes knowledge when you learn and share with others to benefit. For reminder benefits a believer.

May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala grant us the best knowledge of the Deen آمين...🤲🏻📿🙏🏻

CrimeBREAKING: Four Dead As Task Force, Tanker Drivers And Touts Clash At Mile 2 by frndfghtr(op): 11:15am On Sep 05, 2023
No fewer than four unidentified persons have been reportedly after a clash between the Lagos Task Force, tanker drivers, and touts at Mile 2.

The eyewitness who identified himself as Richard Igbe, explained that there was a fight on top of the Mile 2-Oshodi bridge and the fighters barricaded the bridge blocking the access road
He is unsure of the cause of the fight but claimed that four persons were dead from gunshots.

According to him, “Mile 2 is on fire, both the task force, tanker drivers, and touts are fighting seriously. I don’t know what caused the fight but I am just hiding at Fagbems Filling station at Mile 2 and watching.
“I am going to work but I am stranded as they barricade the whole of Mile 2 that nobody will pass”, he said.

A video sighted by our correspondent showed people running for their lives while tires were being burnt.

Only strong hearted person will not cry, This painting of a young woman breastfeeding an old man in a prison cell was sold for Euros 30 million. The painting may look perverse but the story behind is from historical records.

The poor man was sentenced to "death by starvation" for stealing a loaf of bread during the reign of Louis XIV in France.

The woman was his only daughter and the only visitor to his cell. She was allowed to visit him daily but was frisked thoroughly such that no food was taken in.

When after 4 months the man still survived with no weight loss, the authorities were perplexed and started spying on her in the cell and to their utter astonishment found her to breastfeed her father to the fullest sharing her baby's milk.

The judges then realizing the compassion and love of the woman for her father, pardoned the father and set him free.

This piece of history brings into focus the depth of an woman's compassion in our daily lives that can often be overlooked.
