hienyimba: Good day to the employers in the house if any. Recruiting can be tough, it can be painful, it can be heart rendering so i would love you all to share your stories - or job-seekers who were funny, annoying, who scaled through, who were disqualified, what they did to deserve it ,anything.happy writing..I don't really believe you are a professional recruiter, otherwise you should aware of software you can use to filter or search the submitted CVs using specific keywords. This is what professional recruiters do in other climes. So 10 millions CVs submitted to your email should not be a problem. This software should either access them in your inbox or your email transfer the submitted CV to the software. Is as simple as that. |
Rastamann: How can a country where those at the seat of government are major culprits introduce such a law? Where is the technology and/or data to track down defaulters of such payments? Naija no be am!Look the law is there in Nigeria to protect marriage and children, but government can't enforce some of these laws because the government fail in performing its responsibility. Like in UK if you have problem with your wife, social welfare can provide her a temporary accommodation before taking the case further. Can Nigeria government provide refuge for domestic abused children or spouse. Abuse can go either way as well. A lot of women abuse their husband because of one reason or the other. |
baby_123: Maybe like every other thing, Nigerian's like to leave the erring party to God and suffer in silence. But when they see their mates doing same abroad they start looking for the law. But there are no structures in place to catch a disappearing ex, and anyone can just disappear into thin air in Nigeria. Hardly any citizen records are kept to keep people in compliance. To make these laws work, so much needs to be done. All these things happen in the advance countries as well. If you could remember when David Cameron was comparing spouse that doesn't take care of their children to a drunk driver. I think what we need in Nigeria is enlightenment of the women. Majority of women in Nigeria force men to marry them even if not convenient or plan by the man. to them sex is the same as marriage. Especially when they are above 25 years of age. Lack of planning for the relationship is the result of the these marital malaise in the country. Sadly the children suffer most. |
Can anybody tell me the title of the I K Dairo record where he sang "apon ti o laya oje eba sun" (unmarried bachelor eat eba as dinner). |
Degis: Prophecies are not for analysis but to be believed for Fufillment. You remind me of the Man described in the Bible who said "even if God opened the windows, how will this things be". Indeed you shall not partake of this blessings when they come to pass.Like others, I believe you are ignorant of God's prophecy as well. Read the one you quoted "2Ki 7:1 Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria. 2Ki 7:2 Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof". This prophecy was specific and not general one to claim. The prophet said this time tomorrow, very specific, nothing to pray about. Either you like it or not, it would happen. That is what is called prophecy. You don't have to believe prophecy to happen. It is an heresy to believe otherwise. Go through your scriptures and let me know where you have to believe before it happens. In the scripture, bad things happened because people failed to repent, not pray. The above words alleged coming from Pastor Adeboye are prayers not prophecy as he is not a prophet but pastor. |
k2039: Someone reasoning exactly like me.Life is not as straight and fair as you wished. Wife of 50yrs can die before husband of 75yrs. This is real. Wake up! No two relationship is the same. |
Xplodes2700: Age is definitely an issue, it makes me sick hearing a 25yrs old girl even dating a 35yrs old guy, in my own opinion i feel the age difference shud be @ least four yearsif at least 4 yrs, what then wrong with 25yrs dating 35yrs. You have not specified your maxi |
WhyAWhy: As much as I agree that this is not right at all. If the legal system in this country is strong, anyone that signs that bond before getting employment would surely lose the case in court oh.It all depends on the employment laws that operate in the country. If the clause contravenes the extant laws, it could not stand in the court despite appending ones signature. Illegal contract would be thrown out of court. |

How do you expect everybody to be law abiding. All other nationals commit crime as well. Calling dog bad names to hang it. |
A DOCTOR who brought an old, broken laptop to a shop, claiming it to have been recently purchased, and fraudulently obtaining a refund for it, has been found guilty of professional misconduct. Dr Alabi Emmanuel Gbadebo was before a Medical Council fitness-to-practise inquiry yesterday. He was also found to have concealed his pending trial for the fraud from the HSE in Letterkenny, Co Donegal, and to have failed to notify the HSE after the trial that he had been convicted. The inquiry heard Dr Gbadebo, who is originally from Nigeria and trained and worked in Belarus, has been in Ireland since 2003. He passed Irish medical examinations and general medical council equivalents. Though he had some observer posts, he had not found paid work when he was living in Cork in 2008. He was finishing a thesis for a master’s degree, was under financial pressure and anxious to get work. He said he had been having difficulty with his laptop. “I had to submit the thesis. The best thing was to change the laptop.” He bought a new laptop in a Cork city centre branch of Argos for €599.99 in late August 2008. On August 29th, he brought his old laptop in the new laptop’s packaging, with the receipt for the new laptop, to the Argos branch and got a refund for it. “I was thinking I had to get the thesis done. I was frustrated. I was five years in the country and no work,” he said. He has a wife and three children. He obtained a distinction in his master’s and obtained work in Mayo General Hospital in Castlebar in 2009. Garda Michelle Quinn, Watercourse Road, Cork, said she had viewed CCTV footage of Dr Gbadebo fraudulently obtaining the refund. She sent a report to the Garda in Castlebar in February 2010 and the case came before Cork District Court on July 23rd, 2010. Dr Gbadebo pleaded guilty on September 28th, 2010, and was sentenced to four months in prison, suspended for two years. In the meantime Dr Gbadebo had been contracted to work in Letterkenny General Hospital. Patrick Murray, hospital HR manager, said he gave the doctor a number of declaration forms on August 20th, 2010, advising they should be signed in the presence of a solicitor. Among the declarations he signed was that he faced no Garda investigation or trial. “On October 5th I got a call from the local Garda station. I was told Dr Alabi [Gbadebo] was convicted of an offence in Cork at the end of September,” said Mr Murray. He called Dr Gbadebo to a meeting on October 12th. “He admitted it and apologised profusely and sought leniency.” His contract was ended due to the “significant breach of trust”. The committee found three allegations were “proven as to fact” and each amounted to professional misconduct. http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/ireland/2012/0921/1224324230667.html |
berem: I wonder why he divorced his first wife! I guess now he must have learnt his lessons.I will advise him to go make peace with his former wife for the sake of love and the kids. What is divorce of his first wife has to do with this? Is it a crime again to divorce in Nigeria? This guy is really hurted. If |
Billyonaire: You always like to attack personalities instead of issues on discourse. Did you not study elementary philosophy in year one in the university ? When you do this, you make me think you arent educated enough to hold constructive argument without committing fallacy ad homonium. All am asking is that we pay tax so government can have much money to provide the infrastructures we need and you are attacking my person. You need proper education. You are just talking as if payment of taxes will end Nigeria problems of which the chief is corruption. In abroad you alluded to, none of their government officials dare embezzle money flagrantly the way it is done in Nigeria. Mind you none of our leader ever complaint that the reason why they do not perform is because they don't have money or because people don't pay their taxes. More income from taxes means more money to embezzle. Currently the average security vote of a governor is like 6 Billion Naira. This could easily be increased to 10 if they have more income. Would this kind of thing ever happen where people taxes out of their sweat? Be reasonable, the problem of nigeria is corruption and not non payment of taxes. |
Mubarak and Gadafi did not drink and they were in office more than 18 hours a day. What are you talking about. Another rubish. How long will it take the president to reform our Judiciary and other problems we are facing. Here him again 4,400 watts of Electricity. It is not even up to the half of Electricity consume by Tokyo Airport. Anyway, you are proving to us that you work for your money. Failure |
TCD: I think you people wrongly assume the act of marriage is the "ceremony". Its not. Its from the heart, a promise you make from the depths of your soul and spirit whether it be by phone, or telegraph. The ceremony is just for show, to let people know we're officially married, to have witnesses or for the legal system to issue certificate. so doesn't matter if its a stick that represents the bride or groom in that wedding party.TCD with all due respect, your view or marriage is totally wrong. Anywhere in the whole world either secular or religious marriage, the ordinance has to be witnessed by at least two people. However, It doesn't have to be open or public. The issue of heart is of God. How can you know the heart of a human being? How do you know when he/she says no and she/he meant it. Human feelings change from time to time. marriage has to be witnessed. All cultures attest to this. My opinion about the issue of picture is that it depends on the situation. The other partner might not have the opportunity to come for the wedding, perhaps he/she is in abroad and does not have paper to come home. However, they must have known each other before departure. I think it is insane to marry by proxy somebody you have never talked to face to face. |
timmy1999: I always prove my point....maybe u will have a change of mind now....am not saying S.sudan won't get there..but for now, they are facing lot of challenges and problem..so don't get me wrongthis is not peculiar to them. Thousands of Nigerians are internal displaced as well. A lot NGO are feeding people in the North. The S/Sudan have their own Chanllenges but you can still make money as a Nigerian there. Nigeria is not beatiful as China, but a lot of chinese are Nigeria making money. Be not deceived Nigerians are Juba making money, don't be carried away by NGO pictures. |
timmy1999: After careful examination and research..I reach the conclusion that the only country in africa that you won't find a nigerian living in..is no other place than SUDAN..Now SOUTH SUDAN..the kind of poverty ravaging that country, is way beyond any comprehension.everything there is against them.EG the weather, the Sun always very hot there, most sudan are black cos of the sun, malnutrition, infrastructure problem..no light..just to mention a few....I don't think any nigerian will risk his life to go hustle for sudan..OR I may be wrong..if you are a nigerian living in sudan...share your viewsIt will suprise you that Nigerians are in Afganistan and Haiti, talkless of Juba (capital of south sudan). Part of Nigeria are worse more than these countries. Nigerians are everywhere, even paupa new guinea. I don't think you have ever travelled round Nigeria before otherwise you would know nigeria is not as fantastic as you thought. |
Of a truth and without prejudice nobody loves that country as Baba Obasanjo. As for me, I will prefer 'to your tent o Israel'. Let every region/tribe their own ways. |
It is illegal to import textile materials to Nigeria. |
Se SSS n pa eniyan je ni? Why all the noise? |
Billyonaire: It baffles me. If a world class economist known worldwide with 25yrs experience in the world bank job is criticized profusely by her own people, I think we need our heads examined.A good economist might not necessarily be a good manager. Nigeria needs a good manager now and not economic theorist. |
Design Hud: You need a consultant to guide you through, if you're not sure. I'll link you up.Name the businesses here please. |
I think before any advice of this kind can suffice, there are other things we have to know. For example, where do you want to stay in nigeria as your area of residence will depend on the type of business you can do successfully. The business you can do in Lagos may not be profitable in Ado Ekiti. Do you have house to stay without touching this money as accomodataion can take a chunk of the money. As some people suggested buying and selling can be rewarding. However, I am not sure if you have residence/visa permit to stay in UK otherwise I would advice you come home and start your life. There is no point in wasting your life in oversea after so long years without permit. The consequences is not usually palatable. |
It depends on your qualification |
FXKing2012: What is the lawyer's business in all this? Why carry it on his head as if he was the one slapped by the bishop? Cant u see he's being used by the devil to distract worshipers? Tens of thousands of children get slapped everyday in Nigeria, why not go suing others? Why is it only Bishop Oyedepo that deserves to be sued?I am sorry for you guy. One has to stand for Injustice. If blacks in America thought this way, they would still be under the oppression of the whites. Habba, somebody slaps a lady in the public and you said he should not go unpunished because people come to his church? This is the reason why this kind attitude of the so call 'man of God' has been going on for a long time. I know one thing for sure. Irrespective of the judgment. This attitude would not repeat itself. Man of God will never strike again at least in the public. That is not the call of Chritians. Pray for your enemy is the teaching of the saviour. Cast out devil was what he said we should do not argue with the witches and brutalised innocent people. If the Bishop that lived in America before, knew he could not do it in the United States, why trying it in Nigeria. I know the answer, because he knew people like you would support him. |
Billyonaire: The money doesnt come from your government per sae, at least not much. The money comes from the 3 investors. You need to do the Bloomberg link I sent you for details. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-01-30/vulcan-energy-plans-to-invest-620-billion-naira-in-nigeria-1-.html Vulcan plan to invest...does it say Nigeria government plan to invest ? Gosh..Broda, this is said to be joint venture. Nigeria government has history of this shady deal. Check previous Nigeria government joint venture. Is either the company is owned by one of them and divert the federal money to the project and at the end of the day there would not be completion. Bicourtney and Nitel deal are typical example. |
Billyonaire: Its even on Bloomberg website, wow, its real deal. The story was written by a Nigerian for Bloomberg. It is not the duty of bloomberg to verify the authencity of any company. |
Billyonaire: Its called Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in business, the Nigerian company is there because there must be local partnership and the Feds is there cos it has to influence price regime to be favorable to Nigerians, the Money from FDI comes from the 3 parties, the Foreigners bring the technical know-how as well as some financial obligations. I am responding to you because you showed genuine ignorance, now that you are educated on this, please tell your neighbor.FDI should be brought by investor with a genuine registered company. FDI business to Nigeria should not be exception. The technical knowledge you are talking about should either come from a consultant company or experienced company in the field. Because of the magnitude of this amount, this company, either in Nigeria or otherwise should be known internationally . How can a reputable company either in Africa or in any other countries would not have website . This can't be true. |
These companies seem not genuine. How can a company with dealing of billion of dollars doesn't have website; US company for that matter. Is this not another avenue to syphon money. Let wait and see. |

Super1759: Who made this man pastor self..instead of him praying for one nigeria he is scattering us.nawa ooThis is what I don't understand. Why one Nigeria. Do you live together by force. Do we have to continue to live together at the detriment of Nigerians Welfare. If spliting Nigeria will increase the welfare of Nigerians so let it be. The people of scotland are preparing for the referedum to seperate from Britain, British government doesn't roll out armoured tank to prevent them. Unity of Nigeria should be for the benefit of the Nigerians not at all cost and to our detriment. |
. And now, these numerous resumes. And the worst thing is that you know you have to download them all, scan for viruses and worst still read/view them all.
