Atiku desperation for power in the next election has failed I don't know why will want herdsmen killings to continue if Mr President is re elected
Adeitanajoke:

The Federal Government has described as an “act of desperation’’, the statement credited to the PDP Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, that “killings will continue if President Muhammadu Buhari is re-elected’’.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, stated the government position at a media briefing on Thursday in Abuja.

The minister said that Atiku is desperate “due to his floundering campaign’’ and admonished the former Vice President to stop bad politicking and politicising killings.

“It is clear to all Nigerians that the electioneering campaign of the PDP presidential candidate has failed to gain traction.

“From Sokoto to Ilorin to Ibadan to Gombe, it has been a disastrous outing for the campaign.

“ With that magnitude of failure, anyone can say anything to stay afloat,’’ he said.

“The opposition is only crying wolf where there is none, and in view of what they did during their 16 years in power.

“They never really won a free and fair election. Their strategy was to use the
security agencies to thwart the wishes of voters.

“They did it in Ekiti and Osun in 2014. I was a victim in Osun, so I know what I am saying.

“But the guilty are always afraid. They think what they have done to
others is what will be done to them,’’ he said

The minister assured that under President Buhari’s watch, no security agency would play that kind of ignominious role in any election.

Lai Mohammed is the originator of fake news. He started by telling us that:
1) Boko Haram has been technically defeated but boko boys just killed over 100 soldiers recently.
2) That Buhari (Jubril Al-Sudani) can't wear high-heel shoes because doctors advised against that. He should have insisted that Buhari is Buhari rather than use unintelligible argument.
3) That Buhari can't speak fulfude because his doctors advised against that. And all sorts of infantile information churned out by him which are usually unbecoming of a Minister of information.

Mztarstrechy:
Following the recent defections from the APC by federal lawmakers from Kwara State, among others, the Hon Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, on Sunday (29July2018) visited the state to consult with stakeholders on how to strengthen the APC and ensure victory for the party in the state in 2019.

The Minister was received by hundreds of enthusiastic party members and supporters, who followed him all the way from the airport in Ilorin to his hometown of Oro, where the meeting was held.

Resolutions from the meeting:

1). That the Balogun Fulani-led Kwara APC executive committee be immediately dissolved and a fresh congress that will include all Kwara APC members and those who are just coming into the party be held at the various levels to constitute a new executive.

2). That all those who got appointments by deceit, hiding under the facade of being party men and women, should immediately resign such appointments or be fired.

3). That the recent gale of defections has now put the APC in a position of true majority in the National Assembly, as those who remain are the ones who are truly committed to the ideals of our great Party

4). That all members and supporters of our great party restate their unflinching support for President Muhammadu Buhari and assure him of a harvest of votes from Kwara State in the 2019 General Elections.

5) That all members should remain calm because there is no cause for alarm.

The President also declared the current administration’s Anchors Borrowers’ Programme a huge success.

HMIC your haters are everywhere always saying trash
NOPNG:
The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has challenged those calling him a liar, to present concrete facts disputing whatever he had said before.

Lai Mohammad, who said that he has never told a lie before, made this disclosure during an interactive session with Reporters.
Naijaonpoint recalls that Nigerians have branded Lai Mohammed a ‘liar, by taking anything he says with a pinch of salt.

While speaking with Reporters, Lai Mohammed said: “I have two burdens. The first is that I happen to be the face of the opposition, and PDP has not forgiven me, and I do not think they will ever forgive me.

“I think they look at the magnitude of what has happened to them, and they hold me solely responsible; which is not fair.

“But, I did my bit. Now becoming the face of government again, it is automatic to them that whatever comes from Lai Mohammed, we must shoot it down as fake news and a lie

“Incidentally, my father gave me the name Lai, also. So, it makes it very easy for them to make me a liar. But what I challenge them every time is, please, give me one thing I said that is not true. I have never told lies before.

He added: “Emotionally, you may not agree with me, but in terms of facts and figures, I have never said anything that they can be disputed. You do not have to like it, but you cannot deny that they are facts.”

Well spoken sir those thieves are behind all the atrocities committed by ipob
stephanie11:
The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has said the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is being sponsored by certain disgruntled elements to sabotage the Buhari Administration, under the guise of fighting for the rights of the people of the South-east.

PoliticsNGR learned that the minister was reacting to recent events that have happened over the last few days between members of IPOB and the Nigerian army in the south-east. He said;

''Nigerians must understand that IPOB was not set up to fight for the right of anyone or group, but as a tool to destabilize the nation, divert attention from the efforts of the Buhari Administration and obliterate the laudable achievements of the Government,'' the Minister told a press conference in Lagos on Sunday.

''IPOB is being sponsored by those I will call the Coalition of the Politically Disgruntled and the Treasury Looters. They believe that by sponsoring this group to destabilize the country and trigger chaos, they will realize their ambition of escaping justice and then be free to dip their hands into the nation's treasury again,'' he said.

Alhaji Mohammed wondered why the activities of IPOB became heightened with the advent of this Administration, saying: ''If this is coincidental, then that coincidence is uncanny, at the least. Remember that Nnamdi Kanu, who led a protest at the Nigeria House in London against Boko Haram insurgency and in support of Nigeria's unity, under the Jonathan Administration, has suddenly metamorphosed into an IPOB monster who will rather set the nation ablaze.''

He said IPOB thrived on exploiting the nation's fault lines, and that its modus operandi ''is to trigger conflagration nationwide through attacks and reprisals''.

''Thankfully, IPOB has failed in its evil machinations. The good people of Nigeria have seen beyond those cheap tactics and have avoided being incited against one another. We must remain vigilant and resolute. We must all say no to the incendiary and divisive tendencies of IPOB and its cohorts,'' he said.

The Minister commended the Nigerian military for labeling IPOB a terrorist organization and for checkmating the group, and the South-east Governors for proscribing the organization.

''But for (the military's) quick and decisive intervention, IPOB could have set the nation on fire. Thanks to the decisiveness of the military, today the Governors of the states in the South east have wisely proscribed IPOB,'' he said.

Alhaji Mohammed accused IPOB of harvesting gory videos from the distant past and from other lands to deceive the international community that the people of the South-east are victims of state-sponsored ethno-sectarian violence, describing such tactics as '''lies and propaganda''.

''Such videos, which have very high emotive quotient, are circulating on the Social Media. We call on all to subject such videos to the greatest scrutiny so as not to be misled. In particular, we urge the international community not to jump to any conclusion on the basis of such videos,'' he said.

The Minister also appealed to the media to show greater restraint and avoid sensationalism in their reporting of the military exercise, Operation Python Dance II, in the South-east.

''The divisive and jaundiced opinions of some anarchists have been given a big play by a section of the media. This is wrong. Let me remind all of us of the role of the media, especially the radio, in the 1994 genocide in Rwanda that left about 800,000 people dead,'' he said, adding that the Nigerian media cannot afford to sit on the fence or engage in irresponsible journalism when the issue at stake is the very survival of the nation.
