RichBoy247:How many times has he told Atiku and his obidient followers that he is going to unseal Tinubu's record within the next 2 weeks.. He keeps posting sensationalist rubbish and at every opportunity he will try and insert himself as some powerful Capitol Hill lobbyist case in point being the Adeyemi co fraudster whom Okeke said he will secure an asylum in the US for. And to show he keeps a pulse on Nigerian social media space, he reacted swiftly to the letter Trump wrote to Tinubu by claiming it is fake. This is what obidients and the likes of that palmy drunkard , Lauretta are now all echoing. |
givedemwotowoto:He has been warned by the US govt not to falsely issue statements on behalf of the US govt after he was caught lying that the US was set to enter a military pact with the DRC. He will fabricate nonsense in his head , post it on Social media and get you obidients to take it as facts thereby giving Mr Atiku the false impression that there is serious lobbying going on by him. He has been rightly described as both a scammer and an online Troll. Obidients have been very instrumental in amplifying his scams because of Obidients thirst and hunger for bad news against this govt.
|
Mr Okeke has a way of using Social media to amplify his fake lobbying by posting outright fallacies as progress reports on his ongoing lobbying gig for the pleasure of his clientele. One of such cases is how he recently claimed he had successfully sent a case file regarding Tinubu's drug related legal issues to the desk of Donald Trump for immediate action and directive. He knows his audience well which happens to be the ever bitter Obidient mob who will believe a lobby group can some how send a petition to the US President to act upon as if the office is like that of Anambra state governor's. He has crafted this act to perfection by first getting social media followers who will amplify his bogus claims . Speaking of Social media followers, he had a few hundred followers on X before he started his campaign of calumny against the govt of Bola Tinubu but that all exploded after he got the underserved publicity through local media to publish his fake lobbying scams. Once that happened, his followers jumped to over 40,000 and most are not based in the US but in Nigeria and a quick run down on their profiles will show you one distinctive thing . Mr Atiku will be wise to do his own research about Mr Okeke and he will see that this man has a reputation as a con artist and a scammer masquerading as a lobbyist. |
INVESTIGATIVE PROFILE: Karl-Marx Edward Ikemefuna William George Okeke-Von Batten Alias: Dr. Karl Von Batten, Karl Von Batten, Edward Ikemefuna Nationality: Nigerian-born, US-based Profession: Lobbyist, Self-described Policy Advisor Firm: Von Batten-Montague-York, L.C. (VBMY) SUMMARY Karl Von Batten is a controversial figure in Washington, D.C., known for securing multi-million dollar lobbying contracts from African governments and political figures while facing persistent allegations of fraud regarding his academic credentials, professional identity, and ability to deliver promised political influence. He is often described by critics and investigative journalists as a "scam lobbyist" who sells illusions of access to the US government. 1. DUBIOUS ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS - Alleged Fabrication: Von Batten claims to hold a PhD and degrees from elite institutions such as Columbia University, Harvard, and others. However, multiple investigations assert he "never set foot" in these institutions and that his PhD is "phony." - The "Bio" Scam: His professional biography, used to secure contracts, lists a "top-flight" academic history that investigators claim is entirely invented. This fabricated background was allegedly used to convince foreign governments (e.g., DRC, Somalia) of his expertise and influence. - Unverified Affiliations: While he maintains profiles on academic networks like ResearchGate listing publications and a Columbia University affiliation, no official records confirm his enrollment, graduation, or employment at these institutions. These profiles appear to be self-maintained rather than institutionally verified. 2. QUESTIONABLE LOBBYING PRACTICES - "Pay-to-Play" Influence: Von Batten has secured massive contracts, including a reported $1.2 million deal with former Nigerian VP Atiku Abubakar and millions from the DRC government. Critics allege these payments were for "influence" that never materialized. - Unauthorized Policy Announcements: He has been caught making false claims about US foreign policy. For example, he publicly announced US military cooperation with the DRC before any official government statement, leading to accusations that he was selling "illusions" to gullible clients. - FARA Violations & Shadow Entities: He has registered as a foreign agent for clients like the Federal Government of Somalia and the DRC. However, reports suggest he sometimes operates through "pseudo-charitable organizations" (e.g., United Somalia Alliance) that are legally prohibited from engaging in political lobbying, potentially violating US tax and lobbying laws. 3. HIGH-PROFILE SCANDALS - The DRC Implosion (2025): The DRC government paid Von Batten millions to manage their image in Washington. When US Senator Ronny Jackson exposed DRC corruption, Von Batten's lobbying efforts collapsed. The DRC realized they had been defrauded, paying for a "fraudulent operation" run by a man with a fake identity. - Somalia/Somaliland Controversy: His work for Somalia to block recognition of Somaliland was criticized for having "limited clients" that did not match his "outsized bravado." Critics noted that his lobbying was ineffective and potentially involved illegal activities through tax-exempt charities. - Atiku Abubakar Contract (2026): A reported $1.2 million contract with Nigerian politician Atiku Abubakar was signed by a third party (Fabiyi A. Oladimeji) without Atiku's direct signature, raising questions about the legitimacy and transparency of the agreement. 4. PATTERN OF DECEPTION - Identity Shifting: He uses multiple names (Karl Von Batten, Edward Ikemefuna, Karl-Marx Edward) to obscure his background and create a false sense of legitimacy. - Exaggerated Titles: He frequently uses the title "Dr." and claims to be a "senior government advisor" without verifiable evidence of such roles. - Silence on Allegations: Despite widespread media coverage of his alleged fraud, Von Batten has not publicly addressed the specific accusations regarding his academic credentials or the collapse of his lobbying contracts. 5. LEGAL AND PROFESSIONAL STATUS - Lobbying Registrations: He is listed in Lobbying Disclosure Act (LDA) and Foreign Agent Registration Act (FARA) filings, which provide a paper trail of his activities but do not verify his claims. - Corporate History: He has been associated with inactive or shuttered entities such as "Health Informatics Corporation" and "America Educates," further complicating his professional history. - Current Standing: While he continues to operate in Washington, his reputation is severely damaged, and he is widely regarded by journalists and political analysts as a figure of fraud rather than legitimate influence. CONCLUSION Karl Von Batten represents a case study in the exploitation of foreign governments by unscrupulous lobbyists. His career is built on a foundation of alleged academic fraud, exaggerated claims of influence, and a pattern of securing large payments for services that appear to be non-existent or ineffective. His story serves as a warning about the need for due diligence when engaging US-based lobbying firms, particularly those with unverifiable credentials and a history of controversy. Atiku must be the most foolish man to have hired this con artist as his lobbyist. See excerpts from an article that depicted how he conned the govt of DRC by falsely claiming he was lobbying on their behalf despite being paid millions, nothing was being done by his firm to actually lobby on behalf of the DRC govt. This is the same fraud who said he had submitted case files relating to drug conviction surrounding Tinubu to Trump's desk as if the President of America has time for such rubbish. This is the same person that said he will get Adeyemi (a fellow fraudster like himself) asylum in the US as if he has the powers to do so. This is the same person now telling obidients that the letter Trump wrote to Tinubu is fake. May God heal your bitter souls so you can all reason rationally. The Fall of Karl Von Batten—Kinshasa’s Million-Dollar Fraud For years, the DRC government had pumped millions of dollars into PR firms and lobbyists, trying to spin a false narrative. At the center of this fraudulent operation was a man with an absurdly long name: “Dr.” Karl-Marx-Edward-Ikemefuna-William-George/Okeke-Von-Batten. Despite his Nigerian origins, he went by the German-sounding alias Karl Von Batten and sold himself as Kinshasa’s key lobbyist in Washington. But it was all a scam. “His bio lists ALL top-flight universities as his alma maters, only he’s never set foot in any of them. His PhD? Phony.” Von Batten had conned Kinshasa out of millions, promising influence in Washington. But as Jackson’s testimony dominated headlines, it became clear—Kinshasa’s money had gone to waste. “Kinshasa was comfortable because it thought it had the right people protecting its image. This statement from Jackson? It pulled the rug out from under them.” Von Batten’s silence was deafening. The same man who had spent years spewing Kinshasa’s propaganda was now nowhere to be found. The DRC’s once-powerful lobbying machine had imploded. Behind closed doors, panic gripped the Congolese government. The media narrative had changed overnight. The usual tactics—blaming Rwanda, spinning victimhood, silencing critics—weren’t working anymore. For the first time in years, Kinshasa wasn’t in control of the story. The world was seeing the DRC for what it truly was—a corrupt, broken state teetering on the edge of collapse. And Muyaya’s 1:20 AM meltdown? It was just the beginning. The reckoning has begun. https://kivutoday.com/hard-times-for-drc-as-tshisekedi-under-fire-us-expose-unravels-drcs-corruption-and-lobbying-scandal/

seunmsg:Here's an article that detailed how the DRC govt sacked him after funding out he lied to them about his academic and professional qualifications. As I said, he uses social media to amplify his lobbying for his client's to think he is actually doing any lobbying. No one even knows him on Capitol Hill and the few who do have nothing good to say about him. https://kivutoday.com/hard-times-for-drc-as-tshisekedi-under-fire-us-expose-unravels-drcs-corruption-and-lobbying-scandal/ |
seunmsg:All the universities he claimed to have attebed said they have never had any doings with him. His lobbying gig for the DRC govt was dropped after it came to light that he lied about his academic qualifications and affiliations. Atiku is a big dunce to have fallen for this con man |
The controversy surrounding Dr. Karl Von Batten (born Ikemefuna William George Okeke-Von Batten) centers on widespread allegations that his academic credentials are entirely fabricated. While he presents himself as a "Dr." with a PhD and a background from elite institutions, investigations and media reports suggest these claims are false. Key Allegations of Fraud Fabricated PhD and Degrees: Multiple reports, including a detailed exposé in Kivu Today and investigative pieces by Ellen Kampire, state that Von Batten claims to hold a PhD and degrees from "top-flight universities" such as Columbia University, Harvard, and others. However, these sources assert he "never set foot in any of them" and that his PhD is "phony" . The "Bio" Scam: His biography, often used to secure lucrative contracts with African governments (such as the DRC and Somalia), lists an impressive array of academic achievements. Critics argue this bio was constructed specifically to deceive clients who were unaware of the lack of verification. The narrative suggests he used these fake credentials to sell influence in Washington, D.C., to regimes desperate for Western legitimacy . Lack of Verification: Despite his claims of being a senior government advisor and researcher, independent verification of his degrees from the institutions he lists is reportedly nonexistent. While he maintains a profile on academic networking sites like ResearchGate listing publications and a Columbia University affiliation, these profiles do not constitute official accreditation and have been challenged by journalists who found no record of his enrollment or graduation . |

Obi will come and cry that they are marginalising his people again just as he came out to condemn NAfDAC for shutting down Onitsha drug markets for producing fake and expired drugs |
Validated:Mr Okeke had just a handful of followers on his X account but after taking up lobby jobs against the Tinubu govt and amplifying it through Social media, his account base grew to over 40,000 with none of his new followers based in the Washington DC area but from Nigeria . Guess where most of those followers are from in Nigeria and their political stance towards this govt. Mr Okeke deploys social media troll tactics to amplify his lobbying cause so as to get his daft clientele (in this case Atiku) from thinking there is actually solid lobbying going on Well, it's all just for the cheques and by cheque I mean a hefty $1.2ml cheque Atiku signed away to this troll as lobbying fees. |
seunmsg:The govt of Rwanda and Somaliland as well as Ethiopia know him too well. His modus operandi is to use social media to amplify his cause. He hardly gets any job done in Washington DC as no one knows him. Atiku was really fooled to hire this online troll as his lobbyist. |
Okeke is a known troll in the same league as Simon Ekpa. He has about 40,000 followers on twitter but only 300 from the Washington DC area. The rest are from Nigeria and only joined him when he started his dirty lobbying against the Tinubu govt. And by Nigeria, you all should know that they are all from his SE. Here's an article by a representative of Somaliland who Okeke was tasked to block the US govt from recognising their independence from Somalia. https://somalilandchronicle.com/2022/10/29/how-somalia-is-trying-to-stifle-somaliland-us-ties-with-an-online-troll-and-a-pseudo-charitable-organization/ He is virtually unknown in Washington and his only means of amplifying his lobby for his client's pleasure is to go to Social media and make noise like the troll he is.

Neoteny:Nuclear reactors for civilian use can also serve to enrich uranium for military application. There's also the issue of dirty bombs that are made from the fuel waste. A conventional nuclear bomb are quite very clean as they are very efficient in converting all the radioactive material to blast yield energy with little radioactivity lingering after the initial blast and which will clear out in a few days. That's why Hiroshima and Nagasaki became habitable a few days after the bomb was dropped on them. But a dirty bomb that uses radioactive waste generated from nuclear power plants are more dangerous as they are meant to disperse highly toxic nuclear waste that have a half life of at least a thousand years thereby rendering entire areas inhabitable . To understand what I am saying consider again Hiroshima and Nagasaki after a bomb was dropped on them and Chernobyl in Ukraine following the nuclear reactor melt down. Chernobyl isn't safe for another thousand years as the soil and ground water is heavily contaminated from the fallout caused by the reactor meltdown. The only reason European countries are shutting down their civilian nuclear power plants is because these are vulnerable targets that if struck by conventional bombs can lead to escape of highly dangerous radiation. That said, Saudi having civilian nuclear power stations is a harbinger for more catastrophy as those nuclear power plants are now targets for Iranian missiles and there is the real danger that they can use the plant's operation to both enrich uranium to military grade or use the waste to make dirty bombs. |
Lukuluku69:The divide is very real and we saw it in Iraq, Syria and Lebanon. Even in Saudi Arabia, the minority Shi'ite population on whose ancestral lands the oil wells are concentrated have been facing persecution since the formation of the modern state of Saudi Arabia. In Nigeria, we saw the Sunni establishment that is backed by the Fulani caliphate hegemon clamp down on the tiny Shiite population led by El Zackzacky on the prompt by both Israel and Saudi Arabia. The Fulani house is weary of the tiny Shiite population because they are the only ones who are sensitising northern Muslims on the plight of Palestinians with their yearly Al Quds day marches to the ire of the Israelis. The Buhari clampdown on shiites was done on the orders of both Saudi Arabia and Israel and to protect the hegemon of the Fulani establishment since in Shia islam , monarchies are considered haram . |

Immatex:I don't know where you guys get the confidence to spew bs all over this forum Trump being the puppet of Israel has said he will pull out of NATO and he is doing so , so that Israel can attack a NATO member Turkey . Has it crossed your mind that you are rooting and cheering on the bad guys ? |
The only thing they preach on is sex and money. That's to show you which god they worship. |
UrVillageChief:First off, who is "we"? Secondly , this is a trap by both Israel and Trump to get Saudis to be the fall guys to use nukes that will be given to them freely by Trump. Trump and Israel dare not use nukes or face the biggest clap back ever. Pakistan has said if Israel nukes Iran, they will nuke Israel back . And anyone stupid on the side of the US and Israel to use nukes on Iran will get a global nuclear war in their hands as Russia , China and N.Korea will be launching theirs on both the US, Israel and UK targets. The plan to give the Saudis nukes is to give the US and Israel plausible deniability in the event the Saudis are too stupid to be tempted to try nuking Iran. |
stanluiz:Israel stole nuclear material from the US to build their own nuclear stockpile and when the US finally got on to them, they assassinated the US President that was about to force them to hand over their nukes. Has it ever dawned on you that the problem plaguing the ME is not the Arab world or Persians but the terrorist state of Israel ? |
HumbleOptimist:Where do you guys pull these useless misinformation from ? |
US is just weeks away from exhausting it's strategic reserves that Trump has been offloading on the market to keep crude prices down. How Trump can keep prices down with both the straits of Hormuz closed by Iran and the closure of the Suez canal by the Houthi blockade only him can explain. Venezuelan oil would have eased the US domestic demands and also supplied Europe but most of the oil wells need heavy investments to bring them back upstream and when you also consider that the quality of Venezuelan oil is also dog shit and requires expensive and dedicated refinery setup , this won't happen until oil wells begin to operate again and refineries are built to handle the high sulfur density of Venezuelan crude. But one thing that hasn't been factored that is also seeing to a real global energy crisis, is Zekensky targeting Russian oil facilities and tankers. Crude prices are way below their supply gap volumes and the only reason this is happening is because Trump is manipulating the markets by dumping strategic US crude on to the market while suppressing crude prices in the 30 day futures markets. But as we saw from the first half of this conflict, crude future pricing don't mean jack as crude was trading on the high seas at far above the 30 day delivery futures market by at least 30-40% . Crude prices ought to be above $100 mark but the US economy can't take such shocks giving it's highly fragile state. But this twin blockade by IRCG and Houthi rebels plus Russia suffering a major setback in production output, and with Venezuelan oil supplies only serving a tiny niche market, crude prices will eventually give into the harsh realities of a global oil glut. |

The Girl Who Fled a Goddess and Came Back a King In the closing years of the 1800s, in the small farming settlement of Umuida, in Enugu-Ezike, a girl was born to a palm wine tapper and a trader. Her name was Ahebi Ugbabe. Nobody watching her grow up — no sisters, two brothers, an ordinary rural childhood of the kind lived by thousands of Igbo girls before and after her — could have guessed she would die a king. A childhood cut short Ahebi spent part of her early years living with her mother's family in the nearby town of Unadu, and by most accounts she liked it there. She got along easily with the other children, boys and girls alike. She also, even then, had a habit of refusing things she didn't want — including the marriage proposals that came her way. One rejected suitor, a man named Eze Ezenma, responded to her refusal by raping her. She eventually returned to her father's village in Umuida. It was there, in her early teens, that the real turning point of her life arrived — not through anything she did, but through a string of bad luck that had nothing to do with her at all. The harvest failed. Illness moved through the family. Trade dried up. Her father, desperate for an explanation, went to a diviner, who delivered a verdict: the family's suffering was punishment from a goddess named Ohe, angered by some transgression of her father's. The prescribed remedy was almost unthinkable. Ahebi, thirteen or fourteen years old, was to be married off to the goddess herself — a ritual called igo mma ogo — making her father the deity's in-law and settling his debt with his daughter's life. She ran. Exile, and a trade she didn't choose Alone, uneducated, with no trade to fall back on, Ahebi crossed into neighboring Igalaland. She wandered as far as the land of the Tapa people looking for any kind of work and found none. Eventually she turned to sex work simply to survive. It would have been easy for that to be the end of her story — a girl who fled one hardship straight into another, forgotten by history the way most poor, displaced Igbo girls of her era were. Instead, she used the position she was in. Sex work put her in contact with powerful men — among them, eventually, colonial officials and the ruler of the Igala kingdom, the Attah. She picked up languages as she went: Igala, Nupe, Pidgin English, on top of her native Igbo. By the time she was an adult, she could talk to almost anyone in the region who mattered. Making herself indispensable By the time Ahebi made her way home in the 1910s, the British had already subdued Igboland — that conquest was largely finished by the early 1900s — and colonial administration was already running in Enugu-Ezike, with a local headman named Ugwu Okegwu acting as the go-between with British officials. The trouble was that Okegwu couldn't read, write, or speak Pidgin English, and an administration that ran on written orders and reports needed someone who could. Ahebi could. Years in Igalaland had left her fluent in Igala, Nupe, and Pidgin English on top of her native Igbo — exactly the skill set the British needed and Okegwu lacked. She made herself useful to colonial officers passing through the area, and at some point during this period assisted them on an expedition into her home community. It wasn't the conquest of unconquered territory; it was her inserting herself into an administration that was already there and already looking for a better intermediary than the one it had. From runaway to ruler The British rewarded her accordingly. They replaced Okegwu with her as village headman. Then, in October 1918 — by which point she was around 38 years old — she was elevated further, to warrant chief, one of the local intermediary positions the British used to administer Igboland indirectly. It was a striking appointment, since British colonial policy formally excluded women from exactly this kind of office. Colonial records took to marking her name with an "f," for female, because there was simply no other category to put her in. Local male elders resisted the appointment, understandably. But their objections went nowhere, because Ahebi had British backing, and the British were the ones with actual power in the new order. With that backing secured, and with help from the Attah of Igala, she rose further still — becoming, by the mid-1920s, king (eze) of Enugu-Ezike. The only woman to hold that kind of office in colonial Nigeria, and quite possibly in colonial Africa altogether. Ruling as a man, in the ways that counted Once in power, Ahebi didn't simply occupy a male office as a woman. She took on the social role of a man in ways her society had, in certain limited circumstances, always allowed for. She married wives of her own — several of them women fleeing abusive marriages elsewhere — using her wealth to pay what her biographer later called the "child price," the payment that in Igbo custom secured rights to a woman's future children. Those children carried Ahebi's name forward. She never had biological children of her own, and never took a husband in the conventional sense. Instead she built a household, a lineage, and eventually a court, entirely on her own terms. The wall she couldn't get past There was one final rung on the ladder she couldn't reach. Ahebi wanted to create and control her own masquerade — a masked spirit, central to Igbo religious life and understood to be strictly male territory. Women were supposed to flee from a masquerade's presence, not command one. When she tried anyway, the community's elders objected, and the dispute was taken to British colonial authorities to settle. This time, the British didn't back her. Unlike the Igbo society she ruled, which had room — however narrow — for a woman to become socially male under the right conditions, the British saw sex and gender as fixed. They ruled in favor of the elders. Ahebi's masquerade was suppressed, and although she remained king for the rest of her life, she was never again as powerful as she'd been before that defeat. A funeral she planned herself By the time old age caught up with her, Ahebi had made plenty of enemies among people who'd never fully accepted her rule. Suspecting her own community might refuse to give her a proper send-off, she did something almost nobody else in her position would have thought to do: she staged her own funeral rites, complete with gunfire, sacrifice, and music, two years before she actually died. If her people wouldn't remember her the way she wanted, she'd make sure they remembered her anyway. She died in 1948, having lived roughly 68 years — a girl who ran from a forced marriage to a goddess and ended up, by way of exile, sex work, colonial politics, and sheer force of will, buried with the funeral rites of a king. What was left behind Today, in her mother's hometown, Ahebi Ugbabe is venerated as a goddess. She remains a fixture of Enugu-Ezike folklore — no longer just a woman who broke every rule her society had for her, but something closer to a legend in her own right. Her story has since found its way into plays, podcasts, and academic biographies, most notably Nwando Achebe's The Female King of Colonial Nigeria, the book that first pieced her life back together from oral histories and colonial records nearly a century after she died. It's a story with no clean moral. She collaborated with a colonial invasion. She also built, from nothing, a kind of power no woman in her society had held before or has held since. Both things are true, and neither one cancels the other out. |
Baxilexi:If both Iran and Saudi get nukes and decide to nuke each other, the Saudis will be wiped off the surface of the earth due to one specific factor - terrain. Saudi is mostly flat open desert terrain while 90% of Iran is rugged mountains. Nukes don't do very well when they encounter mountains as mountains deflect and absorb most of the blast. But open flat desert terrain is a different thing entirely as the blast wave will make mince meat of anything and everything on its target 🎯 . Also, it will rain molten glass after a nuclear bomb is detonated over Saudi Arabia making life more worse for whoever is very unlucky to survive the initial blast. |
