Does that mean that the population of Nigeria almost doubled in 15 yrs?
Some questions:
What is the birth rate per 100 000 people in Nigeria?
How many people emigrated between 1991 and 2006?
Also, what is the death rate per 100 000 people in Nigeria.
There is something fishy about this census numbers? |

Kobojunkie: nah!!! If you want change in black Africa, Start with Nigeria. If Nigeria, the largest black Nation can get it's act together, I bet you that the surrounding countries will follow suit. And, if we want to change Nigeria, we need to start with you. If Kobojunkie, the biggest loud mouth on NL can get his/her act together, I bet you that the rest of Nigeria will follow suit. |

But, some men are really selfish and have no dignity if not why else would a man bein office for more than 10 years until the people force him to step down.
Btw, I'm waiting for Nigerians to protest about Obasanjo showing records of what he has been spending our money on. Instead of leading the protest, you are waiting, well, me too I am awaiting, and the rest of Nigeria is waiting for you. If you lead, the rest will follow |

alj harem1: ezeuche please my brother listen and learn how to be diplomatic in your approach when having a conversation with someone. well you have a lot to learn in terms of been a leader which i think you are not.
now, you can not say because some people speak you language and you are married to one of them makes the whole ethnic group part of yours.
i know you have a good heart and just want what is best for your people just like others but you have to accept the truth sometimes. Just like how Obama's great great grand father is Ibo. My grandmother is Ibo and my mother speaks fluent Ibo, does that make me Ibo? I hope not. Always tryna claim oil wells! |

alj harem1: ok i understand you, but the map of igboland was a bit generous in the sense that part of ibibio, edo lands were in it.
about nupe people, most of them speak Nupe language but majority of them speak hausa and yoruba, very few speak fula even some speak igala a form of okun yoruba language just like iskekiri which is a form of ijebu language
but my point is even us northerners will not take part of people territory
ok i agree, please no kill me
but the map i am not to sure Alhaji, he is lying as always. No one speaks Igbo in Bayelsa, another ploy to claim more oil wells. NDeltans fought on the Biafra side, yeah right, just like how Yoruba people asked them to secede. . . what else is new Alhaji How old was he during Biafra and how many people form bayelsa did he see fight for the Igbos? Alhaji ask him questions, dont just believe his lies. |

Why do Ibos like to claim other people.
I lived in Bayelsa for a year when I was young and people in Otuoke do not, I repeat, do not, speak Igbo.
What is wrong with you people.

PhysicsRND: 1) Proof? The Northerners are always claiming most people in those populated states up north are not in the metropolises, but in the rural LGs. I think they make up this claim to account for the figures because they assume the figures are correct, but I have no way to say that they are really lying. The other thing to consider here is that you said population densities, but you have to consider the size of states and LGs. The population density of the rural north could actually be low and still give them a higher population for each LG than the rural southeast because the rural southeast is still a much smaller area. So whether you go urban or rural, I think the population densities are still not going to be uniform across Nigeria. This is the most important factor and its very difficult to estimate. And, we all know that supposed eye witness account isnt always accurate. People have ulterior motives and coming to accurate estimate from eye witness account would be very very difficult and disingenuous. and oh, I don't think Kodewrita has said "prayer" is the answer anywhere. Please correct me if I'm wrong. It is called deductive reasoning dumb dumb graduate of Nigerian university. All books, no common sense. Bless your stars you are a Nigerian, if you were Greek, you would never have been allowed near a computer, let alone participate in their democracy. JeSoul: I'm usually a happy spectator in this section, but I just had to comment and salute/support my sister Aisha on this. Girl, may wisdom and understanding never cease to be yours. Kodewrita, oga, if I may ask, what other means or actions would you personally suggest other than mass protests? The guy already said prayer. May be you should just stick with just observing. You obviously do not have the mental capacity to post in this section. Just stay in romance, ok? |
