ChildOfDoom:
I thought I had changed. Hmm. I feel worthless and empty again. I went to the bet shop with 800 naira. My intention was just to go there and charge my phone. There has been an epileptic power supply in my area.

Unfortunately, I played virtual with the 800 naira while trying my luck. This sent a big shock into my body. I had to look for ways to 'recover' my money. I ran home and begged one of my neighbours to buy the fancy music player I had for 3000 naira. This is something I bought with over 13k. To cut the long story short, I am just back from the bet shop. I lost the money too.

I feel distraught and ashamed of myself. My rehabilitation has collapsed. You are free to pour in your insults
I'm sorry
Nairaland GeneralRe: Ex-introverts You Are Needed by Ftheophilous(m): 11:41am On Oct 02, 2020
About to share some of my experiences......

I don't think anyone exists in this world that doesn't wish to change one or two things about them be it, looks, personality, physique, social status, family etc.
So, you are not alone....got it?

I can't categorically label my personality, but I Know I am more of an introvert - you could say I'm an ambivert.

The first step to changing yourself is when you acknowledge that you need some rebranding....kudos! cos you did that by creating this thread

The next step, building up your confidence...
People have varied reasons to be confident but confidence has to be initially hinged on something so that that confidence can develop and become part of you - my opinion.....

You could be confident about your looks, smartness, socio-economic status, height, talents, skills....etc.
People easily get attracted to your personality either introverted or extroverted mainly when you have something to offer....so make sure you can offer something, if not to people, at least to yourself.

what you have isn't what introversion is all about.....but it's one of the "side effects" of being an introvert which you need to work on. For extroverts, it could be a constant heightened state of officiousness while for introverts it could be constant quietness and consistent limbo-state.

As I said before. Trading words with you will not help fulfil the purpose of this thread because as can be inferred your assertions, it is visible that you haven't followed this thread as diligently as I have, and seen the totally life changing suggestions I have come across. Go read all previous posts, starting from page 1 till now, then reply me.
This is the last time I am contributing to your unecessary lenghtening of this thread with unhelpful posts.
FamilyRe: Introverts Lounge (Extroverts Pls Keep Off !!) by Ftheophilous(m):
I didn't call you anything Mr. Karleb rather you are the one likenening this family to the gathering of the blind.
That aside. Clearly, trading words with you will not add anything of value to the purpose of this thread as can be seen from your replies. Otherwise you would have known that extroverts do not intimately understand the pain and joy that comes with introversion. The best advice an introvert can ever come across is that from another introvert that has studied, understood, overcome and is able to manipulate the intracies of this seeming extrovert dominated world.
FamilyRe: Introverts Lounge (Extroverts Pls Keep Off !!) by Ftheophilous(m): 8:47pm On Apr 20, 2020
Mr. Karleb, with all courtesy, please take yourself and your advice somewhere else. If you wished to contribute meaningfully to this thread, you would have seen that we are a little big family, airing our frustrations and trying to help one another in every little way we can. You coming here with your condescending and unhelpful words is why the OP wrote 'Extroverts Please Keep Off'.

Oga solo, thanks for this beautiful update...I'm liking the persona of our protagonist, Alex. The guy is meticulous and quite calculative in his own standard. Waiting to see the unveiling of more drama

Alex thinks that theory always works with women. grin
Baba doesn't that with women, that rarely applies especially if they are the ones after you. He is getting the sex but nothing is ever for free and he will find that soon enough. grin

To your last line, you dey sell those things ni?? grin grin But seriously, how are things on your side?
...Yes o, he will. Deborah has lost all sense of reasoning and is been driven by emotions partly because she has mentally broken off her relationship with daddy Michael and has the leverage of an alternative plan yet to be revealed
As for Anita; her cognitive enviroment in terms of affairs of the heart has reached menopause while Alex's is still on diapers, lol...
grin I wish. na cool cash be that o, based on things now.

I pray Alex's naivety does not drown him in the deep waters of trouble before he gets his bearing. He is obviously treading uncharted territories in the affair of the two older women and this is obvious in the way he is handling the double romance: making assumptions and appealing to the reason of both women based on his myopic point of view and abundant inexperience. All of which seem to backfire following the elusiveness of the two ladies which finds him more confused and lost. Little does our dear Alex know that a woman's mind is a machination of intricacies that yields to no manual, only experience, and his lack of this may be his undoing. His isolated state is not helping matters at all sef.

Nice updates as usual from our dear oga solo. Your genuis is a cause to marvel
I dey your back oga mi. Anything you want from hand sanitizer, nose cover, hankerchief, headtie and even shower cap, everything dey with your boy...double twale!

WTF! How will I answer this now. Okay, let's see.

I didn't realise that we were going to get that far with the making out and stuff, but as the tension rose I decided to go along with the flow hoping to pause before we crossed the limit. But when I felt the bare flesh of your a$$ on my palms without your panty on. I think the chemicals in my brain got switched up. And when you moaned, ohh!! That lovely moan, I kinda felt that wild beasty feeling, my d!ck has never been so hard and pumped, and your goddess like bosom and your long nipples, oh Anita, I don't think having s€x with someone like you can be wrong anywhere. Too long? Sorry, truth is, this is how you make me feel inside

Oga Solo, my quota. How you see am na.

Being shy or timid is not one's innate character.
innate character = personality; according to what I intend to pass on.

But being shy is natural. Some kids are naturally shy while others are very outspoken. It all falls under the influence of genetic permutations.

What the environment does is to either reduce the extent or worsen it, as the case may be.

I believe you still recognize what the term 'environment' constitutes.

What happens is that some parent neglect that aspect of social development in a child focusing on simply reading and writing and this may or may not make make or mar his development into am adult.

oyetpel:
Wrong, a child in that class can be grow up to be shy and timid, an event can change the personality of such a child.
You beat me to it. It is true that the environment plays a role in shaping one's future behaviour, but it has little or no effect on one's personality.

I believe a person's personality controls the way he understands his environment. While the environment contributes significantly to a person's wealth of experience, it does little or nothing on that person's innate character.

For example, growing up in the ghetto made me tough and vastly experienced at a young age. I literally wake up and sleep to the smell of hemp and marijuana. At a young age, I've already started handling hard drinks and drugs but believe me when I tell you that I can't drink even though I know all kinds and sorts of drinks.

With my cool demeanour and gentlemanlike attitude, people find it difficult to believe that I can even speak pidgin english or the idea that I'm actually a ghetto kid.

Maybe all this made me bold, direct and unafraid to air my views, but I know that I'm an introvert because I'm one to analyse my surrounding before I act. I'm not a brute, an insensitive or a shallow person. I also very much like my alone time

This is just an example, so this is by no measure a means to generalize. There are many other examples I can give but let me wait for others.

Most people are bearing their minds out, so of course there will be some weird things about them, and they didn't hesitate to share it.
They probably know its an issue, but maybe saying out here and getting advice might just help them.
If we go Gaggi way, no one will share their deepest thoughts here again, in case they might be judged or condemned.
....Aren't we all weired one way or the other, introvert or not.

....That's why I said sharing your problems here might just make you meet someone with the same and is or has been able to manage his.

....true. But bear in mind that this is a faceless forum where you can choose to reveal your identity or not, so sharing your deepest and most intimate thoughts will just be considered normal here in this thread. Therefore, don't feel shy. Share away while help comes knocking.

Gaggi:
Apologies if I came across as harsh. I'm also an introvert but some things I'm reading here does not strike me as introversion.
If a person is antisocial or has esteem issues, he or she shouldn't hide under being an introvert.
In the words of ftheophilous, which I perfectly agree with:

Some here are even depressed and saying they are no good. Poor self esteem is not a trait of an introvert. There is a thin line between an introvert and an antisocial person. Let's learn to differentiate both.
Well spoken, and of course on behalf of us all, apology accepted.

An anti social person can seem like an introvert, but as you said they are separated by a thin line.

While an anti-social may be apprehensive of new social situations, an introvert is just not much interested, preferring(not abhorring) his sanctitude( his personal time) to think and map out plans etc.
