Hmm. Maybe a full documentary soon? Either way Dicon looks to be turned around for good based on the clips.

Is this an APC?

I saw it around Lagos street area in Maiduguri.

The Military personnel were at the other end so I could not take a decent picture as I was also touring in a Keke grin
It's a BTR

Who can identify the vehicle in the picture
1. It's the TYB Rover.

2. Hard to tell. It's a tank though.

Its more logical to believe you have more weapons than terrorist killed cos some may run leaving weapons behind.

what is hard to believe is killing more terrorist than the weapons recovered.. did the rest come with stick and stones?
They cart off weapons from their fallen comrades (along with the bodies too).

Go to the 4:15 mark. You can see one guy arguing with someone for a gun. Likely from a truck carrying a bunch of them from killed fighters.

It's a ZPU-2. It shoots 14.5mm rounds.

I heard the range of this vehicle rockets is not too good.

S400.
Buratino is only good as a loophole napalm launcher. Its range is much shorter than that of even BM21 talkless of Bm28 or Bm30.

You only use it when you legally want to deploy napalm.

A little better video of the trade fair. It looks like it repeats multiple times so you might want to skip around a bit. Anyway it's mostly so you can get a little better view of some of the things shown.

Looks like a 105mm howitzer mounted on a light vehicle. Might be considered a self propelled howitzer. I have no idea if it comes off or not.

They say stuff about Ezugwu but theres no sound.

A vtol drone?

Looks like they are talking about boots or maybe uniforms. Likely local production.

Helmet cameras.

Combat camera team.

you people will be doing copy copy and thinking like the generals, without educating yourselves.
Rivets on tanks are a completely different thing than rivets on APCs. The rivets on tanks came off after armor piercing rounds ricocheted off of the armor. An APC would never have a chance at defeating AP rounds from a tank. Only things that will hit an APC are small arms which will do nothing to the armor, RPGs or other HEAT weapons that would essentially ignore the armor anyway even if it was welded, and bombs/IEDs that the vehicle is designed to defeat.

Just amazing how soldiers train with class A equipment, but deployed to fight with relatively a lesser one.
well there doesnt look to be anything special here tbh. It looks like basic AKMS or type 56 with a forward mounted Kobra or reflex site. The only thing that's special are the NVGs but those are probably given out on a case by case basis in the real world. Maybe something special in there.

Just to comment on the super fob strategy. This is actually a proven method of defeating insurgencies (tactically because defeating an ideology is a whole separate issue). If it's done right it can really hurt BH.

You serious about this?
Cause what I know is that after boot camp, you are assigned to your unit and then deployment
well technically reservists/National guard are assigned their unit during the enlistment process. However they are not obligated to ever go and see them until after they've completed training. The only people who are required to see their unit after basic training are reservist/national guard that are still in highschool. The only reason for that is because they cant fit in their basic training and advanced training during the summer break. Everyone else does their advanced training immediately after their basic training.

Please I will like to know. Why does it take us 6 months to train our regular soldiers when the USA trains theirs in only 12 weeks (Boot camp)...I need clarification huh
The 12 weeks isnt full training. A soldier can not be deployed with just basic training. They have to go to their job training and they also have to in process at every base which can take up to a week. The full training can vary from 14 weeks to over a year.

I was wrong. Osut actually lasts 22 weeks instead of 14.

The type of video our army should be putting out. Rather, it is lame statements that leave so much to be imagined. This video is longer than a 3-page communique.
They should start allowing go pros on combat troops and putting cameras on tanks and Mraps. Edit the footage to show interesting bits and upload it to YouTube or something.

I dont know. Something about a camera in the trenches interests me. Even if it doesnt show much overall.
