[quote author=Cieno post=46850933]

1. Always walk around the office briskly and Often with a sense of urgency.
This wont work in my office. The more serious you look the better they feel you can deliver on many deliverables.

2. Always keep a stack of paper or binders in your hand while away from your desk

Who stack of paper don epp? .

3. While at your desk, run the tape on your adding machine with random calculations (if applicable).
Well does it matter?

4. Stare intently at your computer screen.
Well this works for the unserious ones that really enjoy pay without work. People without a productive mind.

5. Constantly write things on Post-it notes.
Same as 4. Wetin you wan dey write... You no go taya?

6. Wear your glasses.
People like us using glasses 247 can explain the burden attached. Dont pray u finally end up with eye issues cos that work you are running from when it finally comes... You gonna have a setback. Busy people wear glasses... That's a misconception.

7. Don’t talk. Don’t say a peep.
Introvert Else boring

8. Use your cell phone to call your desk phone.
Why such a life! .

9. Type and Scribble Furiously
Just like 1 above

10. Do some actual work..but not too much
Better as you cannot kill yourself.

@Funkystanl...Thank you for your undiluted counsels. Inferring from your knowledge and experience, what 'telling effect(s) could the economical situation in the country have on this recruitment process?
Thanks in anticipation.

Mgt only knows the effect on the recruitment. No speculations. But you guys should just chill....your recruitment has been in consideration before now... else PwC wouldnt have advertised for the position. So just see the whole recruitment like last year's.

Lol @fexyb and others my post isn't to kill the fun ooo... just to ease the tension a bit. Shouldn't stop all jokes, inputs and comments. Except for the speculation that never came real. Some ppl expected the mails to drop on 24th by 2-4pm... I mean...is that person the HR? Such will only get other ppl more tensed. On another note I am not totally ruling out July for resumption but chances are slim in my own opinion. So nobody should take my personal opinion as insider information...anything can happen... Mgt decides.

Cheers

Hi guys... Been a while! So much tension and all that right? Yh we all faced that. No matter how long or short. One thing is certain you'll all get your mails. But stop speculating the day or time...that only gets other applicants more tensed.

Resumption in July? Let's be sincere... It will take a lot for PwC to achieve that with you guys. Be calm. Understand that May to July is always a very busy period for PwC esp the internal firm service guys {handling your recruitment}.

YH you must have heard stuff from internal sources that you resume July 4 but I will tell you to cast your mind to August for resumption... And if it happens earlier... All for your good.

And if you so desire to get your letter ASAP you can talk to ednut1... I read here he's holding your letters but busy at the moment! grin

Cheers!

Making an inquiry for a friend: would really like to know @Funkystanl and @ed nut is it possible that someone who is 29th years in age apply for the graduate trainee position for 2017 and get selected to participate in the test? Pls your reply is urgently needed.

Hallos... Quite a while.

Yeah it's possible! If the applicant {mistakenly or knowingly} filled in a wrong year of birth during application. Such applicant may qualify to take the test but may not proceed to interview stage.

This is only applicable for the interview phase since the managers would have been notified. Tests can be rescheduled without that process, I think.

Oh really... Cool then. Back then it applies from verification stage. Reason been that they must have planned for say 10ppl and if i reschedule to another time/day and all the 10 applicants scheduled for that time cane. There will be no system for d rescheduled guy to do his test.

Guess it's changed then. Apologies for the wrong info @adedibu6 and viee2.

Yes you can reschedule but on the condition that you get someone fixed for another day who is willing to do the test on your own date/time and vice versa. Otherwise it won't be possible.

Something similar happened to me in JSS 3 back then in school. One of my classmates who happens to be a staunch enemy of mine was annoyingly crushing on my younger sister in JSS 2 and won't let her rest. One fateful evening as we were leaving school for home, my sister came sobbing with her friend (who I was also crushing on) that my classmate Emeka slapped her because she turned down his advances. angry angry
I para, I mad! I threw the books I was reading in the library away and marched angrily with balled fist to where Emeka was. As I marched ahead with two chicks trailing me with renewed hope of revenge, walahi i resemble one of those actors wey act the movie 'The Avengers' grin

Emeka gave me some thorough beating that afternoon that I would never forget in my entire life. Beat me to a pulp but I still no gree back down. Na the chick wey I dey crush on save my life that day o. Emeka was just about landing the finishing blow to my badly damaged and trepidating cheeks when the girl and our Agric teacher came to my rescue. My guy na so I for take die o. grin

Usually I dont comment on such threads like this...but guy this is so funny and made me laugh with tears....You be real lastmumu....
