Recently, I was told a story about a large corporation in the US. In this company, the scientists’ major job is to think out “Ideas” and forward these to the technologists who would use the ideas for production. Over time, the technologists began to think on better ways to use the scientists’ ideas. Subsequently, the technologists phased out the ideas of the scientists and began developing their own. The company executives, realizing this, decided that in order to cut operation costs; the scientists would be relieved of their jobs. The next day, all the scientists in that company were fired! In this state of joblessness and confusion, the scientists went to the technologists and complained, “Since you both develop the ideas and use them in production, what would you have us do?” The technologists replied them in a single word, “Think!” Looking at this scenario you might be wondering, what are the mistakes of these scientists and why were they fired? Did they really make some mistakes? Let’s examine some facts here and draw insight into the morals of the story. Here we go! 1) In your life endeavors, thinking about a great idea is not enough. You must act towards it to stay relevant. 2) Do not be complacent in your career. Keep improving yourself. Every career is a competition. If you fail to develop yourself, your subordinate who is striving harder to become better and better will – sooner than you expect – become your superior. [For content writing jobs, whatsapp: +2348179370258] 3) Don’t ever think your subordinates can not influence the executives’ decision on you and your position. 4) At the office, no one gives a f**k about you! Yeah, you heard me right. They’re only interested in nothing but the best you possibly can give. They will only use you for your best skills and dump you when you or your skill becomes irrelevant. 5) Think more of how many financial options you could have than how to please your employee for a pay raise. Do not be loyal to anyone but to yourself. I would rather be happy to work out ways to earn $500 monthly on my own than to be a zombie to an employer for a $1000 pay raise. I’m sure you’ll agree with me on this. So do your own thing and get better every day. In the end, those who take proactive actions always win. Advert!! Ok. There's this young lady that I met barely 2 weeks ago. We exchanged contacts and have been chatting both on WhatsApp and Facebook. Sometimes she'd call me and we'll talk for long hours, she'd say how she admire and like me naturally; that's she's not after my money or physique and that her spirit just accepted me... Blah and blah. Today, being 1st of March, I invited her to my place of work, and as we were talking and laughing, she told me that a colleague behind me was staring at her in an inappropriate manner, I felt bad about it and pretended as if nothing was happening. So when the said colleague was leaving this evening, I made to the shelves acting like I was looking for something, then I watched at her corner to see what she was capable of. She actually sat at the entrance of the room. Omoh, you need to see how she was staring at my colleague like she'd fall into his mouth. The truth is I'm more handsome and richer than my colleague (I ain't bragging about it). So I just reason the thing. I reason the matter come conclude say: this girl na street. She was just using reverse psychology on me. She don dey fall in love with another stranger already. Surely, na me go treat her fvckup. MY DECISION I'd invite her to my house on Sunday, fvck her pussy HARD, and in the next two days, dump her sorry a.rse! WHAT LATER HAPPENED Well, we went for an outing and she was just laughing and smiling. I laughed with her too. But for my mind, I don reason the idiot matter finish. So guys what do you think? |

The truth is: a guy somewhere is blowing her up. That same is confusing her with promises if she leaves you. So she needs the freedom to enjoy those fairy tales by the guy. She can't never achieve it as long as she is with you, so she now dessent you and wants her freedom in every way possible. Don't be surprised that the guy impregnated her and she did the abortion out of fear. Now that she realizes that you can do nothing. She turned the fear into anger. My advice : free her. Let her taste those fairy tales. You can't save a LovePeddler. Let her go. It'll pain you but with time you'll heal. And for her, all those fairy tales will soon fall off like scales from her eyes. When they do, you'll know what to do. But if I'm in your shoes, I'll never take her back. |
Yet these bitchees will be acting as if they carry one expensive gold in there. |

The Power Of Your Vision [Part of Our Power Series] Building Your Visionary Power. Today, we will talk about the power of your vision – that burning zeal of creativity you want to show to the world. I was surfing the Internet today, when the news of Sidney Poitier’s death broke out. Poitier was a Bahamian-American actor, film director, activist, and ambassador. In 1964, he was the first Black person to win the Academy Award for Best Actor. A lot of people celebrated him as an outstanding actor, who received two Academy Awards nominations, ten Golden Globes nominations, two Primetime Emmy Awards nominations, and a lot of other outstanding nominations to his credit. From 1997 to 2007, he was the Bahamian Ambassador to Japan. However, little was said and known of struggles and persistence in pursuing his vision as an actor. At the early stages of his acting career, Poitier joined the American Negro Theater but was rejected by audiences. Contrary to what was expected of Black actors at the time, Poitier’s tone deafness made him unable to sing. Determined to refine his acting skills and rid himself of his noticeable Bahamian accent; he spent the next six months dedicating himself to achieving theatrical success. What was the result? He became an outstanding actor with several leading roles. In 1958 he starred alongside Tony Curtis in “The Defiant Ones.” The film was an instant success; landing eight Academy Awards nominations including Best Picture and Best Actor nominations for both stars, making Poitier the first Black male actor to be nominated for a competitive Academy Award as best actor. This indeed is the power of a focused mind and a clear vision. When Alexander III of Macedon succeeded his father King Philip II to the throne at the age of 20, little did historians know that he would later be remembered as Alexander The Great -- history’s greatest and most successful military commander. He conducted a lengthy military campaign throughout Western Asia and Northeastern Africa. By the age of thirty, he had created one of the largest empires in history, stretching from Greece to northwestern India. After achieving his father’s wish – the pan-Hellenic project; he had this one burning desire: to reach the ends of the world and the Great outer Sea. That is vision! Your vision is that burning desire within you to take an interesting adventure on the things you have great passion for. The starting point of every achievement is a strong desire. Whatever thing you want to do, if you don’t have the desire to see it to completion; you will never accomplish it. It is one thing to have a dream or idea; it is another thing to take a bold action towards achieving them. A clear vision will help you to get to your success faster than you expect. Personally, when starting up a project, I’d ask myself three questions: “Why am I starting this?”[b], [b]“Where will I end this?”, and “What steps will I take to actualize it?” The first question is very important. Before starting up a project, you should first ask yourself the reason for starting it. What motivated you to start it? Are there vital needs that you believe would never be met unless you act? Are there personal, societal, or financial reasons behind it? Will doing this push up your ego and pride in the society, or will it make you feel humbled that you have rendered a selfless service to the society? You alone can give a befitting answer to those questions. Secondly, you need to ask yourself where you’re ending it. You need to have a limit to whatever course or project you’re undertaking else you’ll never finish it. One of the key attributes of visionary leaders is that their visions outlive them. Visionary leaders are aware of their limit, thus, they groom others who would take up the vision from where they stopped. Finally, you need to determine for yourself the necessary steps you will take to bring your idea to completion. These steps are what we referred to as goals. For example, if your idea will take six years to become meaningful, you won’t just expect that someday you will wake up from a long sleep; and realize that your dreams have been actualized without any effort from you. You will need to work towards your ideas. Set realistic goals – which should be daily, monthly, and yearly. This helps you to harmonize your inner strength and will-power to focus on things that matter. Let’s go back to the story of late Sidney Poitier. On his first ever role as an actor; had he taken the rejection meted out to him by audiences to heart, he would have faded into oblivion. But no, he would have none of that. He was determined within himself to refine his acting skills. He had a purpose. He had a vision – to be one of the best acting stars in America’s film industry; and he was not going to settle for less. Did he later actualize it? Yes. He went down in history as the first Black person to win the Academy Award for Best Actor. Truly, you are only limited by the power of your vision. Why should you build your visionary power? I may not be able to answer that for you. But I believe that when you build the power of your vision; it enables you to weed out trivial distractions in your life, and make you achieve your ideas faster with a clear focused mindset. Bobmarie:You too dear. |
Bobmarie:Alright beauty. You won. Case closed. |
Bobmarie:Lol at the bolded. Why the reverse psychology? |
Bobmarie:I am NOT among the men who believe in "using and dumping girls." but one can hardly find true love with Nigerian women, whether rich or poor. I'm not trying to bash them but they're full of too much drama. This makes cool guys to really find it hard to settle down. |
