Thanks very much that ease my worries because I asked at the departmental office and i was told that I only need one art subject and any other subject and I guess government is an approved art subject in OAU

lekside05: @ funtaherb, it was b4 dat OAU dont accept commerce as utme subject, but i can tell u now dat dey do accept it. D only conditn 4 not aceptin commerce is if u ar optin 4 any social science courses and u combine eco and comm 2geda as us ur subject but 4 courses outside social sci and admin u can do comm. A friend of mine entered law in 2010 and his combinatn den were govt, lit and comm. He is now in 300l... So far u'v satisfy d minimum course requirement which is 1 art subject, their is no cause 4 alarm... For info concerning oau admission u can call me on 08074544341... Yes I agree with you any course that require any two ARTS or SOCIAL SCIENCE subjects,Commerce will not be accepted because it is neither a social science subject nor arts subject..Thanks for your reply

But i think they dont accept commerce for some courses like econs. Highest dey'll do is push u to anoda dept. It wont get terminated

I asked them at the departmental office and I was told that I only need 1 Arts subject,I just don't bother to ask them if they accept commerce because I thought they should.PHILOSOPHY IS A COURSE FOR ALL and I guess that was why there is no subject restriction for it,It is the only course in Jamb that require any 3 subject even in LASU you can be admitted with science subject...

Ajengb: . Its always been like that,they will set 4 u commcerce questions but even if you beat d cut off with wide margin they don't accept it.its good u're already a graduate though but if u're doubting me u can confirm from d skool directly they will tell u point blank

In the brochure the subject combination for PHILOSOPHY is Any 3 subjects in the special consideration section OAU requires 5 o level credit pass to include English Language,one Arts subject and a pass in Mathematics...Please where in the brochure can I find that OAU does not accept commerce and why did they set question on commerce ..Just Curious
