Oops, I did it again! I've finished this story, and I'm about to publish it. It means no more updates. However, I'll have the book available at Okadabooks so you can download it there and read away!
Also, I'll be giving away free eCopies of the finished book somewhere along the line.
I'll be posting blurbs, teasers, scene reveals, and the cover here. Eventually... Lol!
But to be at the front line of this, follow me on Facebook. My Facebook followers are the first to know anything and everything.

Music/RadioRe: Rihanna's Disturbia Is Disturbing by funweez(f): 4:16pm On Sep 21, 2008
I do agree wit eldee,

eldee:
IMO, she's just successfully established herself as a versatile top-level artiste with that song and video.
After hitting the top of the charts with R&B ballads like Unfaithful and unexpectedly stole hearts with Umbrella, the next thing everyone expected was for her to deviate a little, Disturbia was the result.

It was artistic freedom used perfectly . . . to me, this is the closest to Madge we've seen in decades
She's totally at the top of her game
It's what seperates her from the likes of Kelly Rowland and them lot
Are you guys not even tired of all the catwalking and same ol' booty shaking?? ?? ??
change is constant, even Madonna has had to re-invent her style ova d years. You need to, inorder 2stay ahead of d competition. Besides,d disturbia video mirrors the lyrics. Love d song too.

RomanceRe: Can U Maintain A Long Distance Relationship & What Can U Do To Make It Work? by funweez(f): 10:41pm On Feb 03, 2008
Bolarge, love the post, spoken wit true sensitivity n realism. Word!

Quote from: fredsmith on September 12, 2006, 01:14 AM
distance doesnt mean a thing, its both of u that is important in it, as long as you understand it, distance something sometimes even makes it stronger, experience has shown it makes u miss the person so much u want to have him or her

Distance don't mean a thing? Well You're on your own on dt one mate! You guys saying such obviously live in "Lovitopia".
I have personally experienced(and challenged) the commitment of 3 different ladies(at different periods in my life) who were into such-2 had their fiances overseas and one had hers in another geographical zone of the country-and in the 3 instances their allegiance shifted! It took principle on my part not to take advantage of the cosy atmosphere that was subsequently created and mar what they already had going on.And I'm talking about decent, intelligent, rational ladies here.
Believe me most(if not all)women are emotionally vulnerable-I've seen that too many times-dt is what some of us men misinterprete as being gullible.Women need(and crave)that closeness;that'being there'more than You can imagine.
For ze men:How many can keep their 'You know what' zipped up while their chicks are away?Hey how many do it even when the hapless girlfriend is next door!
Pple get real! I'm aware situations do arise dt necessitate couples to be apart and I believe the following recommendations might be of help in this regard:

1.No long distance relationship before the relationship is 6months old-hey!You guys barely know each other.
2.Daily verbal communication(in addition to SMS,e-mails n'what have You)
3.Via the internet, maintain audiovisual contact- splendid use of this technology I must say.
4.Please find a way to see each other at least every 4months.If this proves impracticable then send tangible physical and emotion-inspiring gifts--believe me this will go a long way.
5.Above all PRAY!!

Further comments and additions to the above recommendations are most welcome.

I have neva seen a baby walk immeadiately, but wit love, support and practise, walkin n running become natural skills.Same rule of life can be applied to Hitv, its a great feat they got the premiership rights in the first place.

You would be amazed at the extent to which foreigners have so much stake n control over our economy.

Lets support everything Nigerian,if only 4Patriotism sake!

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Age Limitation In Vacancy Adverts by funweez(f): 9:15pm On Jul 15, 2007
I think most times, laws/rules created in Nigeria are extremely baseless.Laws are meant to enhance order and minimise chaos, and not done without thought for the general populace.
This particular corporate jargon is becoming the norm and its totaly unfair considering the nigerian academic environment and other factors already mentioned.

Its actually a form of discrimination including ethnic and tribal discrimination that also takes place in the work environment, and that is why in the UK,the government has legalised the age discrimination act which prevents employers from requesting for your age, sex, etc.
So all that crap we put on nigerian Cvs doesnt obtain here.

Conclusively,i think thats where associations like the Nigerian union of students should come in,they should try to lobby for laws that favour youths and students alike.
Age is obviously not a determinant of ones ability to do the job. angry

i totally think Omawunmi deserved to win.She had a more comprehensive package, she had loads of style as compared to timi, she is also not a stereotyped performer.

Timi is ok but like most people commented he doesnt strike me as one with international appeal.I wish him all the best of luck though. wink

RomanceRe: When Unknown Girls Call Your Boyfriend by funweez(f): 1:21pm On Feb 27, 2007
Hey La! saw your post, eh eh, i reserve my comment oh.

Anyways i dont see why either partner in a relationship should make either feel insecured.

Communication is key, your partner should know who your friends are and vice versa, and i dont think its wise entertaining come-ons from the opposite sex when you've already got someone.

Why start what you're not planning to finish ??
You cant be having your cake and eating it at the same time lol.
