About 2 days ago, I wrote the above post about NSE index likely to have found a bottom; however, as the last 2 trading days shows, market is still earnestly in search for its bottom. Major support level at 37657 has just been broken. What I observe interestingly is that the decline is not supported by high volume compared to the volume associated with the little bullish days.

Is this a false breakdown or real one? Market sentiments from tomorrow will confirm this. For now, if you are still in the market, I will advice you to be wise. Though good stocks are still out there, like IBTC, but majority of the stocks will decline as the index is falling...

In terms of the fund cash position, it seems the fund is selling and taking away the money for now.

The fund will have cash when you see a positive value under the "Market Value ($)" column.

I have used this to correctly see the fund bringing in new money.

Re-read my post and analysis. On entry, you can make or lose 20% in a day but you can't keep making/losing same 20% daily on same stock going forward.

You can buy honyflour presently at N2.07 and it can close the day at N2.51. That's 20%.

NSE INDEX MIGHT HAVE FOUND A BOTTOM

There is goodnews lurking around Nigerian Stock Exchange. The news is the index might have finally found a bottom. Is the bottom a short-term or long term? That is the needed question to ask. If the price index can create a higher-high (i.e price rally above 39408) in the coming trading days, then I look forward to a long term rally ; However, if the index struggles to break the swing high at 39408 and declines, that is a confirmation that a short-term bottom is what we have.

In all, market sentiment have started to rise with increase in participation by market players. A break below swing low at 37657 could mean further price fall.

What this means is to start cherry picking stock of interest (especially banking stocks) to invest in and most likely make good profits. Importantly, don't forget to use stop-loss in case the market says otherwise.

The selling is ebbing. Somehow, there seems to be so much opportunity in the market. However, on my side I am still looking forward to still buy some target equities low.

I am likely to add more to Oando if the Crude price is still above $70. Equally CCNN (Cement Company of Northern Nigeria) is a good buy, highest price I will pay will be NGN21 for now.

Using the fund’s portfolio as a guide, “green” mean buying while “red” is selling.
