There's no way we can have election in this clime without some elements not making attempts to rig the process, infractions in some polling units shouldn't invalidate the entire process if it can't be proven results in those places where elections are compromised affect the outcome. If result sheet are doctored in less than 10 polling units of maximum of 1000 registered voters each, and we have other 90 PUs of same 1000 voters each where resuits are not compromised, and if the scores of the leading candidate is more than the runners-up by more than 10,000 votes, assuming all the electorates voted, I don't see the reason why the end result of that election won't stand, but where the difference is less than 10,000, this should call for a rerun in those areas where results are doctored, or the aggrieved candidate presents the original result to prove his victory if the real results are taken into consideration |
Lere is indirectly paving way for Tinubu"s 2nd term here, with Nigeria's demographic and regional reality, by the time the 2027 election draws near, the anti Igbo presidency sentiment will rear it's ugly head again and it will still gain ground in the north and the unwritten power rotation between the north and south won't favour another southerner taking over from Tinubu. Forget about the noise from the north against the Tinubu government right now, before 2027 everything will settle down and they won't still vote Obi in the north. Only a strong candidate from the north like Atiku can give Tinubu a run for his money in 2027 |
From their own tabulation of results uploaded on the irev, they should be able to tell us who win the election. I have heard so many allegations of result forgeries but no one has come out to say the results collated from the irev did not reflect Okpebholo as the winner. Though there are result falsications in some polling units, what we should ask is if these infractions really have effect on the final tally. I hope Ighodalo have enough evidence to have things turged in his favour at the tribunal up to the supreme court |
kingbee90:why couldn't Trump unmask the so called Buhari impostor then, Jubril al Sudan. Did he unmask the Kashoggi killers then despite knowing fully well the man's murder was ordered by the Saudi crown Prince. Neither Trump nor Harris care for Africa. It's still all about American domination economicaly and politically. I don't give a Bleep about who emerges in that election, either way, no benefit for Nigeria |
When I saw the story, I know it's fake. And it's a shame Vanguard has joined all these mushroom blogs to peddle fake news |
robosky02:mathematically, Nigeria isn't there yet |
Headline: student dies after 162 frog jumps. Content: student dies after 162 strokes of cain by teacher. Which are we to believe, the content or the rider? |
Actually it's so sad seeing the state of our roads in Nigeria with citizens enduring tortuous hours on these dilapitated roads, especially during the raining season, with a journey that's supposed to take a hour lasting 4 hours. I think government, especially at the states and federal levesl should focus on fixing these bad roads to ease the pains of Nigerians in these hard times. Though it's good as Obi is pointing out to those in authority the worsening conditions of these roads, I hope and pray when he achieves his ambition as President, he would make fixing these roads one of his top priorities. Though it's much easier to criticise when not in power than getting the job done when in power |
The so called independent marketers are the real shylock in that sector, all what they are harping at is to buy petrol cheaper from Dangote and sell with high profit margin, if they are that sincere why is Bovas selling cheaper. Left to them alone, they would have been making 500 naira profit margin from each litre. Diesel is deregulated but their price is the highest compared with the major marketers. If not that NNPC is there to checkmate their greed, we would have been buying PMS for 1,500 |
We all don't believe in any ideology, every ideology hitherto held to before getting to power is just for the sake of power, we lie to get to power. I thought Tinubu will will cause the constitution to recognise the LCDAS he created in Lagos, but now in power as president he doesn't bother about it but Obasanjo can be blamed for not listing them in the constitution. He bandied restructuring while in opposition but now in power he's forgotten about it. Lies, deceit and double face are the hallmark of our politicians |
Love800:No, the meter is permanent in that building, if you're moving to another place, and you still can't share meter with other co-tenants, you'll need to apply for another meter. Every meter is tied to a certain building. |
YoungLionken:you can't use smart meters elsewhere except the address it's originally registered for use |
Mynd44:smart meters are not movable, you can only use it at the address it's registered, if you are going to split account, the new account will still be registered in the name of the landlord, while your name can only reflect as the tenant that does the migration to prepaid meter. Even if you go with the meter at the expiration of your tenancy, you can't use the meter elsewhere |
Let me help you complete the Nigeria @ 25 jingle Nigeria is 25 The odds we did survive Arise salute the nation Come join the celebration A people United will never fall On our land vast and mighty Richly blessed by the Almighty Like bees in a hive we work so hard To make the honey flow But not without the use of the hoe Hoe hoe hoe |
Editorials like this will not cease because Nigeria isn't going to improve because we are not ready for our reality. Everyone of us is the problem of Nigeria. If we are not productive why having more than one child, why do we think prayers will solve our problems instead of finding something productive doing. Why do we have proliferation of churches and crime is on the increase. We are the true reflections of our leaders |
Nothing will come out of the conference, it's just to placate the youths. Then the so called actIvisits will cash out. Just an avenue to bribe the activists |
Weather na English we go chop, AbatI and his bad belle crew can be ranting in their studio for all I care, Edo people have spoken. Arise has taken broadcasting to a new low in Nigeria, their pastime now is to highlight political opponents gaffes |
Bobrisky lives on social media clout and it's this same clout that will destroy him if he isn't careful |
Yes I do, sometimes I even eat more than thrice. Plan your life well in your youth (especially before marriage). Plan ahead for a worst case scenario, then no situation will take you unawares. |
Gbadugbakun:panadol is a brand of paracetamol, it's categorized under paracetamol |
I think it's that grace Arteta needs |
We all know the problem, but to sacrifice our greed and ambition for the right solution is what is lacking. |
I don't know why local refiners are jittery about marketers importing fuel if their price is competitive, we've been buying the imported petrol for decades with virtually no issues with the quality, why is it that it's now that they start refining they are telling us imported fuel are of low quality? If Dangote Refinery is offering a good price far cheaper than imported ones, there's no way any marketer will want to import the product. But I still doubt this story of marketers bringing in petrol from abroad as NNPC is still subsidizing petrol, Diesel is around 1,150 in Lagos while petrol is being sold as low as 858. And if petrol is being sold much cheaper than diesel, it shows there's a kind of subsidy on pms. I don't think it will be profitable for marketers to import petrol as the pms market isn't fully deregulated as NNPC is still calling the shots |
BlocksNG:it's mold not mode |
Adokakunle:definitely NO, Price of fuel will always be determined by the value of the naira against the dollar and with price of crude oil in the international market. With the naira always on the downward trend, petrol price will always be going up |
UDOKABESTLUV:how should I die then, by fire? The best way to die is through sleep |
9japride:then what's the essence of debating, debate is one of the avenue to show voters your suitability for a political office. if you are a politician contesting for an office, your preparedness, knowledge and capacity of the post you're gunning for should be made known through a debate. Electoractes can now decide either voting you or not based on your performance |
jmoore:reacting to Obi is his work |
Abati should have offered solutions to Nigeria's economic conundrum. Apart from the extravagant lifestyle of our political office holders that insult our sensibilities both at federal and state levels, there's no real alternatives to Tinubu's economic policy. And talking about the increment in the price of petrol, we can't eat our cake and have it, it's either we use all revenue from oil to subsidize petrol and face the consequence of zero income from oil to the federation account or we pay appropriate price of petrol and free income for government for development. The government too should create an enabling environment for business and agriculture to thrive by dealing with the issue of banditry and kidnapping that's causing low output from agriculture. There's no magic wand to fix Nigeria, it's our collective will that will make Nigeria work |
Obasanjo/Atiku regime gave out licenses to some individuals and organizations to build refineries, ask Atiku why these people were not able to build the refineries at that time. The main reason is that the economic environment wasn't favorable. No individual nor organization will invest billions of dollars in a Refinery without assurance from government in a sector that is being sustained on subsidy |
