Yesterday, we talked about what man is made of. We discussed man as a spirit being, possessing a soul and encased in a body.

God relates and accesses us through our spirit.

Prov 20:27
The human spirit is the lamp of the LORD that sheds light on one's inmost being.

Today we will be dwelling on the soul as pertaining to our relationship with God. (Heb 4:12)

The soul of a man entails the mind, will and emotions.

When a man gets saved this part of a man begins a process of conversion. We are supposed to feed our mind with the word of God with the intent to align our own will with God's will. (Psalm 19:7)

Our mind is where thinking occurs, and it houses our information and perception. Unfortunately it does not get recreated(changed) along with our spirit. So, the previous perception and behavioural patterns remains, but this is a wrong way to continue living our life. We have got to REPENT!

Alot of people think when we repent e.g quit smoking or fornication, it means we are born again. It is not true! Repentance alone will not get you saved. Salvation comes by acknowledging the finished work of Jesus on the Cross for us. (Romans 10,9,10) Thereafter, to live a successful Christian life, a Christian would need to repent and change their mindset.

Romans 12:1-2

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. ."

Wow! Did you see that? You see why studying God's word is so important? In God's Agenda, Aknowledging His blood brings you salvation, and fellowship with His word brings you transformation. The word to a Christian is like oxygen to human beings. You cannot flourish in your Christian walk without God's word. Get back to His word ASAP.. lol. His word will bring you faith, nourishment. (1 Peter 2:2)
(Psalm 19:7).

Prayer
I pray for you today, that the Spirit of the Lord will help you and stir your hunger for Jesus, that you may understand His Love and be Impacted with passion to live for Him. Hallelujah

Who said so? Anyone who accept Jesus as his or her saviour, and believe that God raised Him from the dead shall be saved.its not exclusively for pentecostals.

 "At one time you were separated from God. But now Christ has made you God's friends again ... by his death.. " (Colossians 1:21-22)

Any man who is not born again is dead spiritually. but when you get born again by accepting Jesus as Lord, you will be quicken,and made alive (Gal 5:25)

Very truly, I tell you, anyone who hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life, and does not come under judgment, but has passed from death to life (John 5:24).

If you are not born again, know this; you are dead spiritually. As rude as that sounds but it is the truth. You are alienated from God. but the glorious arm of Jesus is inviting you. surrender your life to Him today and He will make your spirit alive.

Prayer

Dear Jesus, I come before you today, I ask that you forgive my sin, I declare you as my Lord and Savour. Quicken my spirit again and make it alive unto you that I may serve you all the days of my life.Amen!

If you prayed that prayer, wow! You are alive again. find a great church around you and start fellowship with other believers.

"For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago."

This scripture Is one of the most misunderstood Verse in the Bible. Here the Bible describes us as God's workmanship! The word workmanship is gotten from a greek word "Poiēma" from where we get the English word "poem" and "poetry". It means something made Artistically, like a work of art.
An art work is so Special to the maker, they treasure it so much because it's an expression of their inward being, their creativity and they display It everywhere.

This is exactly how God feel about you! You are the product of His creative ability: the very best of His creation. He didn't just make you, He also lives inside you. Hallelujah!

We must begin to see ourselves as God sees us. Your bank account may be reading zero, worst still on a minus but you are not worthless. People may call you ugly, but it doesn't change a thing. You are beautiful and valuable to God. Little wonder Jesus said in luke 12:15 "A man's worth does not consist of the abundance of things he possesses" For it is the maker that gives value to what he creates.

Next time you walk around, walk with dignity. See yourself as a King's kid. This is what the early Apostles preached, one of the reason the government and pharasees got mad; because slaves suddenly realise they have same right as the freeborn in Christ, they werent stubborn to the authorities though, but their perception changed, they began to see themselves as royalty. Oh Glory!

Dont live your life by the opinion of other people , you are who God says you are, you are a royal priesthood(1Peter 2:9), the seed of Abraham (Galatians 3:29)

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank you for who you have made me, I refuse to see myself the way society see me,
I am what you say I am. A divine work of art, fearfully and wonderfully made, I am the light of the world, a chosen generation, I am royalty. Amen!

God sees his human creation as his masterpiece yea. But there are also verses where he regrets making his masterpiece and resorts to destroying them.
So most especially he has expectations of that masterpiece.
And when the "masterpiece" fails to meet his expectation, he destroys it. After all he is the potter and we are the clay. Isaiah 45:9

But I do catch your drift cos your perception of yourself is all that matters.
For as he thinks within himself, so he is. Proverbs-23-7a

But as vivid as your perception is, God still decides whether or not whom to bless.

My question however is this- If he knows we as humans can't meet his expectations then why did he create man to meet his expectation?
If you say it is because of sin, then how com the sacrifice of Christ (his only begotten son) still could not correct the damage done by the 1 sin committed by Adam and Eve? Is sin more potent than sacrifice? Is darkness more powerful than light?

Please Romans Chapter 5 and Romans Chapter 8. Read with help of the Holy Spirit. How will see that sin has been dealt with compliment through the death, burial and resurrection.

God sees us as His righteousness 2 Corinthians 5:21. When you are born again, are recreated, and recrafted. You are a new creation. 2 Corinthians 5:17. You are a God's workmanship recreated in Christ Jesus to do good works. The second part of this message will be published tomorrow then you can ask questions.

Why do you think there is the ministry of Evangelists if is for everyone?

Cos by your meaning, everyone is also an Apostle, teacher, pastor and prophet.

Let me put it this way so you can get it.

Everybody sings but some are Gifted singers.

Alot of people prophesy, but their is an office of a prophet.

Jesus told us many signs shall follow the believer, the shall heal the sick,, cast out devil, yet their is the special office of an Apostle, and there is the special gift of working miracles.

Everyone can teach the Bible, but there are Gifted and called teachers specifically Gifted in that area.

Jesus told all of His disciples to go into all the world and preach the gospel. Yet He called some specifically as Evangelists.

Is there any part that you disagree on? We can look at scriptures together in this regard.

Here is where you missed it again. Every one may preach but you have to be sent.

Romans 10:14-15
How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard?c And how are they to hear without someone preaching? 15 And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”

This post wasn't created for arguments, or but to encourage every Christian of the need to preach the gospel vehemently by every means necessary. Now if you think thats wrong teaching then I question your Christianity.

Secondly, there is a difference between the ministry gifts(the gifts of an Apostle, prophets, teachers evangelists and pastors) as shown in Eph 4:11 and the ministry of every believer; which is the ministry of reconciliation to preach the gospel to the lost and reconcile them back to God. The ministry gifts are special calling and gifts to provide leadership for the church, while the ministry of every believer is to preach the gospel to unbelievers. Again if you don't agree with that, then you should read your Bible again.

The ministry gifts are specific calling given by Jesus through the Holy Spirit. But as a Christian, you don't need any other calling to preach the gospel, this is our mission on earth to reach the lost. And you have to join in this mission. This is what this post is able. Nobody is calling himself to be a Pastor, the owner of the church(Jesus) appoints whom He deem fit through the working of the Holy Ghost.

In ancient times the invitation to become a man of God was was restricted to only one race (Israelites) God speaks to this nation through selected men known as PROPHETS but after the coming of Jesus Christ there was nothing like the man of God again {Hebrews 1:1-2} WHY? because every follower of Christ should be a man of God as each of them goes to meet people in their homes to preach and teach God's word to pagans in their neighbourhood. Matthew 28:19-20

Amongst Jesus' true followers they don't refer to anyone as "man of God" because all of them are believers (God's children) so they're all men and women of God.

Therefore there is no special calling, the invitation to serve God as evangizers is blown open to all those who accept Christ! John 1:12

Isn't it interesting to you that example you have is from the bible and not reality?

According to the bible when God calls a man, there's a revelation beforehand to his parents.

With the disciples, Jesus himself called them.

Pastors these days were not called. They simply grew up in the church and when they were not successful at business they decided to go into the church business.

Otherwise when God calls you according to the bible, miracles as recorded in the bible also follow.
It's amazing the things pastors now call miracles. such as waking up, being healthy, getting a job, etc.

Whereas miracle as seen in the bible were not general experiences everyone has but unique experience such as someone born blind getting to see, the red sea parting, feeding 5000 with only 5 bread and 2 fishes, etc.

My point is, you and whoever wrote this never had a prophecy that you woulr be born to serve God. You never truly knew from your childhood that you were born to liberate nations. You simply heard your pastor tell you how important it is to serve God and since other aspects of your life weren't successful you decided to try your luck in church business.

No offense, just scripturally speakinkg.

If you read through correctly, you will understand the reason for this post is not about pastors.. But about the ministry of ministry of every Christian, anyone who is born again. The post is not about starting a church building or administration. So no point taking about joblessness or pastor blah blah blah. It's the responsibility of every Christian to burn for Christ, win soul for Him because He's coming for His Church soon and doesn't want any soul to perish. The Church will be raptured any moment from now, and if you are a Christian, quit these unlearn attacks and join other believers in this end time harvest. This is not about a starting church or collecting offerings. It's strictly about evangelism and making an impact.

John 1:6-7
There was a man sent from God whose name was John.
The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.


The life of John the Baptist was a testimony of a man who came to this earth on a divine agenda. He didn't come to this world to play games. His mission was definite and that was to prepare the ground for Jesus Christ the messiah!

Ever since I set my eyes on this scripture, I have been confronted with this question. Daily I asked myself; Yhuki, are you sent from God? Has your life reflected this reality? Can people say categorically that we are living the life God wants us to live. This should call for a sober reflection.

John the Baptist came to prepare people for the first coming of Jesus, and we have been given a much higher task to prepare the world for His second coming. How far are you going about that? Our life is not just a tea party, we didn't come just to get educated, get married, have kids and make money. No! We have been called with a heavenly calling. We were sent to this world
as ministers to reconcile people back to God.

1 Timothy 1:15
This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

Jesus came to this world to save us from sin, haven received His Salvation, we have been given a mandate to save others through the preaching of the Gospel. We have all been called to ministry which is to reconcile people back to Christ, to win souls for Him! It's not just for pastors, it's for every Christian.

If you are not saved yet or you want to reaffirm Jesus's Lordship over your life, say this aloud!

Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

As Children of God, there are laws that have been set in motion to run our lives and one of such laws is the law of purpose. As you discover and run with purpose every thing begins to align together in the realm of the Spirit. This process of alignment begins to alter our life experiences positively and negatively. But know that these experiences are for our advantage


When Apostle said all things work together for our good he was inspired by the Holy Spirt, it doesn't matter what positive or negative emotions our life experiences generates, one thing is sure that it's working for our good.
We must learn to live and pray in the light of this wisdom.

Take for examples, the fact that you didn't get the job you were most qualified for shouldn't bring you sadness! The question is, is this the will of God for your life? The news may have come with alot of disappointment but you see: God is wiser than us.

Listen brother, those 4 Heartbreaks means 4 times the devil wanted to break your life, but God stopped it because He loves you.

Most great C, E. O were inspired by rejection from inability to get a job. Joseph got into prison and that led him to the palace. Count it all Joy when you go through diverse test sister because its working for your good. The rain and sunshine are all there for your good. You cannot be disadvantaged. Every setback in your life is a setup for your breakthrough. Hallelujah.

Prayer Point
Thank you father for the assurance that all things are working together for my good. As I step out today, I decree that my steps are ordered by you. Amen

Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose.

As Children of God, there are laws that have been set in motion to run our lives and one of such laws is the law of purpose. As you discover and run with purpose in life, every thing begins to align together in the realm of the Spirit. This process of alignment begins to alter our life experiences positively or negatively. But know that these experiences are for our advantage

It doesn't matter what negative emotions our life experiences generates, one thing is sure that it's working for our good.
We must learn to live and pray in the light of this wisdom

Take for examples, the fact that you didn't get the job you were most qualified for shouldn't bring you sadness! The question is, is this the will of God for your life? The news may have come with alot of disappointment but you see: God is wiser than us.

Growing up as a little boy, our anchor scripture today was one of the most frequently quoted scripture use to discourage us from keeping companies with friends who possess suspicious and bad characters; with the warning that they could corrupt our Christian values and lead us astray.

2 Corinthians 6:14
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

What those it mean to be unequally yoked and why does the Bible discourage us from such practice?

In Bible days,  A yoke was a wooden bar that joins two oxen to each other and to the load they carry. An unequal yoke would mean having a stronger or taller ox been tied to a much weaker or shorter ox. Having an unequal yoke is quite inefficient as the weaker ox walks much slower than the stronger ox and this will lead to set back and bad performance by the duo.

God expects His Kids to be equally yoked in every area of their lives including marriage, social intimacy.

1 Corinthians 15:33
Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

In Marriage for example, unbelievers tend to differ in viewpoint to issues like premarital sex, morals. while it isn't a sin to marry an unbeliever, it is unhealthy as it might lead the believer to compromising situations which will lead to sin. For example, Abortion is sin before God but your unbelieving spouse may see nothing wrong with it. Also raising children in such a "mixed faith" family will lead to confusion and an epileptic growth in knowledge and practise of the Christian faith.
Refuse to be yoked with people who will decrease your faith in God, Your contact with them should be to show them the Love of Jesus, with the intention to impact their lives with the Gospel of Christ.

Prayer
Lord Jesus, Help me live for you, help me in my choices of relationships that can me sustain my faith and practise of word.Amen.

Yhuki Peters, wife and kids

Yhuki Peters, needs no introduction in Benin Kingdom where he hails from. However, tired of being a ‘local champion’, he moved up south, Lagos city. Ever since he has been able to hold onto his own churning out track after track and delved into the world of photography- literally becoming the official photographer for most top blue-chip companies and banks in and around Lagos. Yhuki has indeed come a long way. On the second edition of the Tunji Offeyi Show he took us through his trajectory in music and why he rejected opportunities to feature in Nollywood despite his acting skills. Yhuki believes some acting role will clash with his Christian Faith. Well, you can imagine a gospel musician getting involved in some raunchy kissing scene in Nollywood movie. That will be difficult to explain, no matter how professional, at least in the Nigerian context such a pastor is bound to lose his congregants.

If you have not obtained a copy of his new album titled Modupe Jesu , watching the attached video in this recap meant you get to listen to his hit song for free, it was a soul lifting performance. The husband to Kim (Lady Aiban) took out time to appreciate his music rapper wife-who has stood behind him through thick and thin like a rock. Watch the interview. It is full of positive vibes.

Enter His gates with a song of thanksgiving And His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, bless and praise His name

A lot of us have great ideas of how we want our life to be. to some an example of a good life is a six to seven digit income, living in mansion, driving a Bentley E. t. c
I must say these things are beautiful and it's God's desire that we have them all but we must learn first to acknowledge and be grateful to God for a far greater blessing which is the privilege to be a alive.

The Psalmist says in Psalm 3:5

"I lay down and slept, yet I woke up in safety, for the LORD was watching over me"

We must learn to give God thanks for our lives, academics, Job, Business and for the good and flourishing health that money cannot buy.
Pay a visit to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital's intensive care unit and you will be moved to tears to see people fighting for their health just to be remain alive. But you see, we take these things for granted.

A song writer once wrote.. "count your blessings name them one by one, count your blessings see what God has done, and it will surprise you what the Lord has done.

Alot of people are fasting and praying just to be in your present position but ingratitude may not allow you see this! Think of the times God saved and delivered you from trouble, think about His mercy, think about His protection; Many times the devil tried to crush, inflict you with pain and sorrow, but God delivered you without you even knowing about it.

You may be reading this devotion without hope of where to get your next meal, maybe you just lost your job, you maybe sick perhaps in the hospital bed reading this but remember it could have been worse! some are in the grave already but you are alive. Your praise and thanksgiving right now is giving you instant restoration in the name of Jesus.

You have every reason to be grateful to God for your present situation; you may not be there yet, but you are heading somewhere! Thank Him in advance for the promotion coming your way this new week. This year will bring you favour, for eyes have not seen, ears have not heard of the mouth opening testimonies and blessings God is bringing your way this year. I decree it shall end in praise for you. Open your month and give Him praise. Hallelujah!
