hey guys interview done and dusted, 5th octbober.! Arrived 5;30 and was the first person on the queue. Tough guy(paulinus) came around 6:13 and called us from the queue by 7am. just 3 students visa applicants (not too sure), one of us didnt keep to his instructions so he decided to keep us all on our toes . as usual i flowed with his pace and in the end he took my documents personally and even helped arranged them(i dont even know how it happened). but i i think he's not real;y a harsh or a difficult personality only that he wants you to follow his instructions and you good to go. so don't panic at all.i was the first student to be interviewed. so i met this white german lady(late 30 or so), very friend, nice and cool. she took my documents and visa fee.did biometric verification and gave me a question paper to answer some questions; 1.name of school and course 2.why the course? 3.why Germany?,why not other english speaking countries 4.whose your sponsor and where he does he work 5.do you speak german, for how long? 6.course structure 7.do you intend to come back or stay...(You guys know the usual drill here) ![]() 8.do you have friends/family in germany? name them 9.have you been to germany 10.how have you been preparing for your studies then she told me to pick up the phone lets have a talk VO;you said you've been learning german for 5 months me: yes ma VO; so can you speak well and which means did you use to learn me: at most A2 but i had to stop for two months due to my exams. i used youtube. VO.; (smiled)very good. so why did you choose this course me; sustainability is a mega trend, making valuable use of natural resources to optimize standard of leaving. nigeria is gradually buying into this idea and i will like to be among those who will contribute to the realization of this dream.(i just want to be brief) VO; (smiled and nodded her head in affirmation). so tell me why you chosed germany VO; Germany is a hub of technological excellence, they offer sound academic training in theory and most importantly practical which is more relevant to life(saw a big grin on her face, nodding in affirmation) and its tuition free so you can devote most of you time to studyVO: (impressed) thank you very much...so tell me what you know about germany me: Germany dont need any introduction when it comes to automobile production.(this one registered very well and she started to chuckle in affirmation and thanked me too.) . they have a top class transportation system and a remarkable history in football, especially soccer(my favourite).VO: (still recovering from the chuckle) thank you...who is the president/chancellor? me: frank walter stienmier/ Angela markel (i was sure of the pronunciation not the spelling) VO; thats right...that will be all for now,we'll contact you by email. me: ok thank you very much...hunged up the phone i was about leaving, then she called me back and asked(my heart skipped a bit here) ![]() VO; how do you pronounce your surname...i pronounced it for her, but then she said ''no'' that she wants to try it herself. i let her try and after some funny trials, i helped her a bit and she finally got the pronunciation(with a grin on her face). she did the same for my middle name too. she gave me a print out to cross check my passport data page and everything was in line. VO: is everything correct me: Yes ma VO: ok you can go now and have a nice day. tchuss! me: you too ma..tchuss! i was leaving the security check point when i saw the other two student visa applicants just entering the security check point, around 8:50 or so, yet to have their interview. their cloths were soaked with sweat, probably resulting from the heat of the tough guy,Paulinus ![]() i will remain grateful for meeting a good and cocky friend here,Yusuph lanre ! blessed be the day i first met you! Thanks to this wonderful family too that gave all informations for free, all the way from part 2 where i started and to some of my favorite lazy newbies . i appreciate you all! we shall all smile together in the endStay tuned for the next success story ![]() #CHEERS! ![]() |

elvis190:hello elvis welcome to the fam!, as i said in my previous quotes, the dates when application starts and ends depend on the schools but usually they start from sept and close from nov-jan 15(as i said earlier, the dates depend on the school you intend to apply to) so browse through the related courses on the link below and check when they start there application...you can as well send a mail to the school to make more inquires if you wish. feel free to ask anything too i already replied your pm so you can check your mail https://www.daad.de/deutschland/studienangebote/international-programs/en/?p=l&q=°ree[]=2&fos=2&subject[]=80&subject[]=10&lang[]=2&lang[]=3&featureLangCourseAvailable=1&dur[]=8&dur[]=9&dur[]=10&dur[]=11&dur[]=12&dur[]=13&dur[]=14&dur[]=15&bgn[]=SW%2CS%2CPHD&bgn[]=SW%2CW%2CPHD&fee[]=1&sortBy=1&page=1&display=list #ENJOY ![]() |
drmingler:hello drmingler, welcome to the fam! you haven't actually stated the degree you intend to apply to(Bsc or Msc?). maybe from there we can help you search for your course of choice or related courses. for bsc you need at least your first year transcript, waec or neco, proof of english proficiency test(toefl or ielts) though some schools can accept a proof of english proficiency letter from your university, few require a letter of recommendation and most require motivation letter(this is very important). As for Msc, you need BSc certificate, complete university transcript and all of the docs stated above(for bsc). winter application(feb- july 15,dates depends on schools) for 2017 is closed, so you should prepare for summer application(sept-jan 15, dates depend on schools) 2018 or winter 2018. documents are usually sent by post directly to the schools postal address(for schools that don't patronize uni-assist),or to uni-assist address to(for schools that patronize them). uni-assist help schools to reveiw your docs and evealuate them if them meet the needs of the school you intend to apply to. you can ask those here (or pm them) who made use of uni-assist for futher inquiries about them(as i didnt use them). they charge a fee of 75euros for first application and 15euros for subsequent applications but i think the fourth application is free. feel free to ask anything here or pm anyone who has passed your present stage(just in case i forgot something), in case of any confusions encountered along the line of your application...once again try to state the degree you want to go for(bsc or msc) so we could help search for it. #CHEERS ![]() |
ifechez:hello, please check this link below to see if the courses suite your taste(some related courses are included). As requirements for masters you'll need your waec or neco certificates(copies which should be notarised),university transcript(notarised copies too), bsc certificate(notarised copies) a proof of english proficiency test(toefl or ielts etc) but some schools can allow a proof of english letter proficiency from your university, although having ielts or toefl makes your chances unlimited to schools you intend to appply to and you need a motivation letter too(very important for you admission) as some or most schools do request for it winter application(feb- july 15,dates depends on schools) for 2017 is closed, so you should prepare for summer application(sept-jan 15, dates depend on schools) 2018 or winter 2018 documents are usually sent by post directly to the schools postal address(for schools that don't patronize uni-assist),or to uni-assist address to(for schools that patronize them). uni-assist help schools to reveiw your docs and evealuate them if them meet the needs of the school you intend to apply to. you can ask those here (or pm them) who made use of uni-assist for futher inquiries about them(as i didnt use them). they charge a fee of 75euros for first application and 15euros for subsequent applications but i think the fourth application is free. feel free to ask anything here or pm anyone who has passed your present stage(just in case i forgot something), in case of any confusions encountered along the line of your application...once again go through the link below to see if you like the courses being offered virtually all universities in Germany are cool . I hope this helps https://www.daad.de/deutschland/studienangebote/international-programs/en/?p=l&q=environmental%20management°ree[]=2&fos=1&lang[]=2&lang[]=3&featureLangCourseAvailable=1&dur[]=8&dur[]=9&dur[]=10&dur[]=11&dur[]=12&dur[]=13&dur[]=14&dur[]=15&fee[]=0&sortBy=1&page=1&display=list #CHEERS ![]() |

MY MAAHN!!! ![]() |
Bestie0309:hello,welcome to the fam! someone nice dropped you link (Daad.de) previously while quoting you. This site helps you to understand what it entails studying in europe(Germany to be precised). most schools(some public universities) in Germany offers free tuition while others charge tuition fee of about 1500euro per semester but private universities charge even more. what you have to do is state the course you intend to apply for masters(which you are yet to do) , then any of us here can send you a direct link to the course/s you would like to apply to(or even related courses, thats if its not on daad website). please note that winter application(which starts from feb-july or august) for 2017 has closed,so you should prepare for summer(which starts from sept-dec or jan 15). dates depends on the schools. you can contact them by email when you get the link to the course. Next is for you to go through their requirements and apply through post. for masters you usually need your waec or neco, university transcripts and Bsc certificates. some schools also require that you sit for a test of english proficiency(toef, ielts etc) but sometime some other schools accept a letter of proof of english proficiency from from your university. Recomendation letter and motivation letter can also be required by most schools in Germany and i think motivation letter counts even more. furthermore you apply to your desired schools either directly to the school through post or through uni-assist(by post too). Some schools make use of uni-assist, a body that assist some universities(who patronize them) to help review and evaluate your documents for the school, if they(your documents) meet the requirements for the school. they charge 75 euros for the first course and 15euros for additional courses but the fourth course as i heard is always free of charge. It can be sometimes stressful as i heard using uni-assist even though i didnt patronize them during my own time, so i suggest applying directly to the school saves some stress(you can inquire from those here who patronized uni-assist about how they operate). for now thats is all i think i should know(some people can add to this (in case i left something out).feel free to pm me or anyone here who has passed your present level and is more experienced on any issue you encounter along the line. Also try to state the course you intend to apply for, then we can help you search for it on daad website and send you a directly link to the course and related courses of your choice so that you can browse through them and make your choice...hope this helps! #CHEERS!!! ![]() |
mycobacterium:hello, i wasnt able to see the course on the daad website...is there any other course related to nursing science you would like to apply to?, probably form the course website i could send you a link to check for their requirements or you send and email to them to inquire personally about their requirements. #CHEERS! ![]() |

Lalaski001:hello it depends on the school, some schools start summer application from sept-nov while others start by nov-jan 15(dates depend on the school you intend to applying to). resumption for summer should be around late feb-april, some might consider late resumption for May. admission notification is sent out three days or sometimes a week or two or more(depends on the school once again to decide) after the application deadline has passed. same as winter here, it depends on the school your applying to but usually winter starts from march-july or feb-july. few schools might decide to extend their dates to august 15(like in the case of Rhine waal) for winter application deadline. mostly resumption for some schools for winter semester is from sept-oct or aug-oct. Although some schools might even extend for some students till Nov 15(each school with their mood of operation). Admission notification is sent out two days, a week or two or three weeks or even a month after application deadline has passed. As for the letter of Proof of Engilsh Proficiency exemption i can't say much on that as i got mine from my department(i dont know how your school operates) but its not that difficult to get as you can make inquiries from your department(HOD) or Admin on how to get it. its just a letter written to show that you studied your Bsc in english language(maybe even your sec school too) And yes the letter can be used as some schools accept it...(you can Pm me for a sample of what my own letter looks like) feel free to always ask your questions here.they're all nice and will answer you gladly, and you can also Pm me or anyone here who has passed your present stage and is well experienced on certain issues. this is also why this thread was created. #CHEERS!!! ![]() |
samzy66:hello, You didnt state the course you wish to study in germany... yes you can get be admitted into a German university if you want. all you need is just your first year transcript, test of english language proficiency and waec or neco result(some times schools might request for a motivation letter and recommendation letter). So its your decision to make if you want to do masters there or undergraduate. let me know the course you want to study so i can help you search for them. #CHEERS ![]() |
Iyke84:hello welcome to the fam! from what i checked through the daad website, mathematics has some little closeness to engineering(related) but i think its not much of a problem. All you have to do is prepare a good motivation letter as some schools will require it and be ready to convince the VO why you opted for that course(mathematics) instead. which school will be OK for you,??! thats left for you to decide after surfing through the link below...but feel free to always put up any questions to me or anyone here whose well informed if you encounter any problem or confusion beyond you, help is always available. https://www.daad.de/deutschland/studienangebote/international-programs/en/?p=l&q=°ree[]=2&fos=3&subject[]=340&subject[]=330&lang[]=2&lang[]=3&featureLangCourseAvailable=1&dur[]=8&dur[]=9&dur[]=10&dur[]=11&dur[]=12&dur[]=13&dur[]=14&dur[]=15&fee[]=0&sortBy=1&page=1&display=list #ENJOY! ![]() |
