The Lady met him at the spur of the moment. She needed the distraction at least --- sipping from a glass of cocktail and seated in the loop at the rooftop cocktail bar. He came to say hello. The first thing she noticed was his height --- 6 feet tall, broad shoulders fitted in his muscled arms, greasy dark brows complimenting a set beautiful auburn eyes...a charming boyish smile settled on his brown dimpled face. This man was all shades of temptation for her.

"Hi..." She purred, leaving a shade of red on her cheeks. His lips was hard to ignore too...full with the presence of a delicious red. What was this man doing sitting with her with his dark hairy chests and dark-blue nipples barely covered by his white transparent singlet.

"Are you alone?" He asked, the sound of his voice adding rhythm to the soul jazz floating in the frigid air of the bar. She took another sip, leaving him hanging on her silent gesture...the cocktail was a mix of the sweet taste of this fine specimen of a man.

Her reply had to follow soon, she thought. If there was any chance for them, her reply had to be…”Yes, I am alone…”

But she just smiled at him, a little suspense was no harm. She would want to flirt and paint one imaginary picture of herself but she only had a minute to spend in hotel 45 before all roads would lead to Lagos.

“Why do you want to know?” This did not come out as a dismissive reply, well that was what she had intended but the smile on his face said it all, his mind had registered it as a flirt.

“Why is a beautiful woman sitting alone?”

Sh-it. The seconds were running and it was almost passed a minute. Another flirty attempt and this man would be the end of her. The best option for her to avoid hazard was to say nothing…telling him off with a stern silence.

“I didn’t mean to bother you…”

The last one minute had been the most beautiful, she prepped these words in between her itching lips. She had come here for the most beautiful experience. She had heard about hotel 45 from a friend whom had her honeymoon here. Maybe somehow the beautiful scenery of the hotel would remind her of the beauty of life. She had booked for the penthouse suite on hotels.ng and was looking forward to having a dip in the blue bubbling pool even though she never did because somehow she had not yet overcame her phobia.

“I am Jake, ” He extended his hand to her and she was tempted to take it, feeling the softness of his palm but only her mind did. What if his touch on her palms spark a different feeling?

“How long have you been here?”

Two weeks but it was to end now. If only he was here on the first day then maybe her honeymoon would have been more beautiful.
