U see, I come from a typical Asian Family. And the worst part is that Im 1/2 Chinese. Not that I dont like being Chinese but Chinese culture is very very complicated. When a Chinese parents have a Daughter, she must find a partner whom comes from a wealthy background. Like the guy's parents must be rich. In my case, my bf is not rich so its kinda hard for my parents to accept him. The worst part is that already he is not rich, he is a foreignor and above all, he is black. U know how is it with Asians and Black.

Of course I dont care what my parents tells me but I want to make a point that its not that bad getting married to a guy whom basically has nothing and will eventually make something out of his life.

My parents failed to understand that they themselves comes from a poor family. . .   I know they dont want me to suffer like they did but being rich does not guarantees happiness. They fail to understand that.

Yes naa, I remember you told me that my cello was too big for me and you were right. It was 1 size too big for me. I cannot help it. I love Alexandre so much and I wouldnt trade him for any other Cello's in the world The only thing I would change about him is his strings. Thats it. The rest are perfect to my eyes.

The ball which you mention, is it a big ball where u can sit on and than I use that to play the cello??  

Hmmm. . . Regarding your art work, the 2nd pic, did you use a pallette knife to do that as well? Where I come from, unfortunately art is not important I wish it is cause I love art too. Over here is famous for the Water Activities (diving, snorkeling, scuba, banana boat and etc) and also the oil and gas industry.

I dont know why are u guys comparing Nabi Muhammad and Jesus Christ. For your information, in the Al Quran, Jesus Christ name is Nabi Isa that means the Muslim religion also recognizes Jesus Christ. I dont see the point of comparing at all. . . They both are two different individuals whom have done things which is highly respected by mankind depending on the religion. Thats all. am i not entitled to my opinion as you are. i neva once preached christianity to you it only baffles me that you are mixing religions that cant mix and thus while you may be tolerant it does not flow.

it is very good to be tolerant to other's religions even if you knew they were wrong cos its not their fault that they are not convinced or where born into wrong families but to accept some sets of religions together such as christianity and islam does not make sense which is why i suggested you creating your own religion.

Look, I dont have time to create a religion and to be honest with you, creating another religion is absolute rubbish. When you die, who gives a toss about religion? Religion is not important. Whats the point of having a religion when you commit adultery or steal or kill or despoil or do any of these sins? Whats the point? Im happy the way I am and I dont need to do anything else.

Im not like some psycho person whom think that ooh! If I create a religion, I get to be the leader and I will brain wash people to join me and be my followers. I mean for what? I have better things to do with my life than to come out with some silly religion. . . 

Even if I mix the religion up, so what? Its for my won good anyways and I see a huge benefit. I have many friends from different kinds of religion and its doing me a great huge favour. Malaysia is a Muslim country and Muslims gets discounted rates and gets to have alot of priviledges. When I wanted to buy a car, I will tell my Muslim friend about it and he/she would help me get that discount. <<< Example. Just because I respect and know a little bit of knowledge about other religions, I get to make friends and socialize better. And when the chemistry is good, I get more chances in life.

But above all, Im not saying that I get to know religion to make use on people. I get to know other religions is to expand my knowledge on other people just like how Im expanding my knowledge on other cultures once I get to know them.

Since you don’t believe all the dogmas of any religion completely then it means that you don’t practice any religion faithfully and if admission into the kingdom of God was by any of those religions you definitely won’t enter for the bible says God hates lukewarm people(Revelation 3:14-16).

I suggest that you start your own religion [deep sight has started his] which can be a mixture of all the religions you like as one cos for instance Islam and Christianity cannot mix because Christianity is built on the claim that Jesus the son of God came to die for our sins while Islam expressly denies this giving him the attribute of a prophet so you cant sit on the fence on this one.

The Bible this and the Bible that. Rubbish! Do yu even believ 100% in he Bible? Did God wrote the Bible? Did jesus wrote the Bible? No! The Bible was written by men. . . Those time when men had written the Bible, there was no light, there was no electricity, thre was no photocpy machine. How are you sure that they have written everything in the correct sense? Go and take the old testemant and the new testemant of th bible, you will come to realize that the scriptures are a little different from one another because people misintepret from the old testemant but doesnt mean the old testemant is corrct as well. They might be real stories stated in the Bible but when you and me die one day, please remember yourself to ask God if the Bible is 100% true. I doubt it is.

Yes I paint, I am having a dry spell at the moment. Pallete knife art, well you use a pallete knife instead of a paint brush, it's normallly done with thick oils, straight from the tube.

yes naa. For a moment there I thought I was an old woman. lol! Than when the doctor told me its because of my Cello. I brought the Cello to the Cello Shop it takes me 2 hours by plane to Kuala Lumpur, and than I wait for 3 hours at the airport and than another 40 mins by plane to Johor just to go to the Cello Shop and the lady told me that the reason why I have a back ache because Im still new to this and also because my chair is not proper and also because the Cello is one size too big for me. Well, I fell in love with Alexandre (my cello) ever since I first saw it (My sister and her husband bought it for me for my Birthday present last year and theres no way Im going to change my cello for some other cello whom happen to be the right size for me. . . It is kinda sad really. . .

Yes, we both cannot afford to buy a house just yet cause both of us wanted to start a business. We are trying and life is not easy but I thank God for his blessings towards us.

Didnt say I like Satanism and I have explained myself why I pray to Mother Mary. Come to think of it, The Catholic faith here prays to Mother Mary all the time, I dont see a problem with that.

I didnt say I completely agree to the 100% teachings of each religions and thinking that only me (because Im Christian or Muslim) as the only high way to heaven is wrong. I dont agree with that. There happen to be Muslims and Christians whom goes to church and Mosque every week but manage to commit sins which is unacceptable to a common sense of an individual. If the person happens to murder 100 people and go to church every week, does it guarantees the person to go to heaven?

At times I feel people can be too stupid when it comes to religion. When the leader says God tells you to slaughter yourself and feed you family, will you do so? I find many people bvelieving in the leaders words without thinking logically and just do the act. Sometimes I wonder why God even gives these people a brain?

Except you want to disregard Jesus' words, he was indeed very particular that there was only "correct answer". Regardless of anyone's worldview and prejudice, Jesus is, in common, held as the possibly greatest teacher who ever existed, teaching truths that were way out of common current knowledge. So at the very least, He knew what He was saying. Jesus' words are the most important ones I relate to in the Bible. Everything else comes next.

Walking around on the surface of this tiny planet in a solar system on the edge of a galaxy which is one of trillions of galaxies it can be hard for us to fully comprehend our own existence. Another very good analagy is that we are like ants walking on a beautiful painting of the mona lisa for example. Each group of ants is walking over a different section of canvas with different textures and colour. One group is on a bit of white canvas whereas another may be on a bit of green canvas and are both convinced that theirs is all there is (the only truth, and there can only be one truth). They cannot comprehend leaving the two dimensional world that they live in and looking down at the whole big picture from a 3 dimensional perspective.

If we could look at our universe from a fourth dimension and see the whole picture i think we will see that we are in a universe that is infinitely large from a 3d perspective, yet was infinitely small when it created itself. It created all of the galaxies, stars, planets, matter, and things yet to be discovered. It created the conditions inside trillions of stars for the heavy elements to be created that made you and me when those stars exploded in supernova and condensed again to form rocky planets and carbon etc.
The universe is everywhere at the same time and we are all in it, of it, and a part of it. You dont need to go to church or follow a particular religion to find god. It is all around you. Maybe god is the universe, and we are all 'children of god'.

My bf and I plan on renting as we both dont have the funds to buy a place just yet.

My cello playing? Well, I have stopped for some time and I really felt so bad cause my sister bought me a cello chair recently in hopes that I would get back to my cello practise. I had to stop cause my doctor told me to stop for some time. It has causes me a terrible back ache and when I go anywhere, I could stand, walk and sit properly as my back aches like mad. . . So my doctor told me to take come time off and try playing again. He also gave me some medication for it.

You know what, even though i still attend church services occasionally, i never attend services to meet God because i know i carry God all around with me. God is within all creation and not caged in buildings. That is one of the first thing i learned about God. If God is omnipresent, then it has to be everywhere, so why go to some particular temples to meet it? Totally senseless and false teaching. If i need to get close to my creator, i simply meditate. I bury myself in the stillness. Be still and know that i am God. I don't need a church service for that.

I go to these services strictly to socialise, that is all. Church services offer great opportunities to socialise and make friends with new people. I don't go there to get any spiritual food for my soul because i know i won't get it. A person like me needs teachers and not preachers.The latter abound in the christian faith and i don't listen to them because they never have anything new and of any spiritual depth to say.

Yes,you are so right. I go to church whenever I want to. I come to realize that when I go to church, i made friends whom are nice (and at least they are not hypocritical ) and we get to exchange knowledge about God, about the religion and also even on our personal life issues. These friends I met have helped me alot of times through thick and thin when I have problems and I even help them. Than it made me realize that no everybody in the church is bad and not everybody in the church is false. I love playing music instruments and where I come from, theres no where you can play only if you are at home. So I met a group of people whom could play music instruments and sing and they do it for church so we exchange ideas and knowledge concerning towards Christian songs and what to play for mass and stuff like that. It keeps me going and it makes me feel happy. So yes, u are right in a way, to socialize. Besides I find it a little hard to concentrate praying to God in church when infront of you and beside of you they are kids screaming and shouting while digging their booger with their finger and stuff like that

I was once in the christianity business . . . more like an observer(i have to admit) than anything else because i was never really into it. When i got tired of the whole circus, i simply walked away because my mind got too big for what i am being asked to believe in.  My mind simply refused to reside in the tiny cage that was being put before me. I knew that there has to be much more to God than what this religion was teaching me. I just found the whole christian faith thing to be one big fakery, so i walked away from it all to learn more about myself, my creator, and the world around me on my own. In other words, i became a freethinker, a rebel, a heretic(in christian speak ). And i am loving it moment by moment.

Awwww. . . . ,  . . .    U reminded me of a friend. And now I can see why you have a different mentality compare to the rest. Well my dear, I just want you to remember one thing. When you enter a church or a mosque or a temple, u need to remember that you are dealing and meeting and coming across different types of people with different preferences, different likings and dislikes and different mentality. When you go to church, always remember that you are going there for God and no one else. I once got really sick and tired of the church which I go cause there seem to be alot of hypocrites and alot of them complains of the choir . music I do in church but the weirdest thing is outsiders from other church and of course quite a number in my own church praises the music and songs I do for mass. The so called leaders of the church immediately set rules on how should I do my music and such. And also donations which I have collected for the church and pass to the leaders for the church, what they do? They put the money in their pocket and there was no report about the money being donated and they say they misplace the money and seek forgiveness from God.

I use to be that person which hated the church but my bf told me that I shouldnt let some people to bring me down. Than I thought to myself, I guess this is a test to see how strong my faith can be for God. So u know what I did? I wrote a letter to the Bishop telling him about the missing Donation money and there was no record, i told him about the leaders whom should be at retirement age and that the church should employed someone more fresher to run the church. My father and mother is now handling the finance of the church and its getting better and as for my music, I dont give sh . .it what they wanna say. I do my thang and theres no way they can stop me!  They mock me and I make as if I did not hear anything or that I hear a mouse squeeking. Besides, I dont worship them. I worship God. My Father.

I use to feel so sick cause Im not getting laid by my bf and I layed in bed feeling so sick. That time he was out stattion and the worst thing is that I have just gotten Dis V so the urge is extemely torturing. . . Everyday I called him on phone and cried. LOL! DAANG!!!! And I force myself to sleep and cried over it. I thank God I didnt get it from anywhere else. . . The feeling of being faithful to the one you love makes you proud and theres nothing which you need to hide from him.

Thanks for the compliment, gabry. That is what opening up one's consciosness and mind does to people. We can see things with so much more clarity. It is not a special gift of mine alone, we all have it.

All we need is just to open up and get out of these tiny mind boxes that societies have created for our minds through religious indoctrinations for example(there are many more methods of mind narrowing) to limit the scope with which we can think and perceive things in our reality. It is all about controlling of the mind by the societies in which we live in what is called, MIND PRISONS. Prisons without physically visible walls in which you think that you are free, but in actuality, you are not.

It is once said by a wise man that the "truth" is like a gigantic mirror smashed on the ground into hundreds upon hundreds of thousands of pieces. Each person comes along and pick one single piece from the multitude of pieces of this mirror, calls it "THE ONLY TRUTH", and build a whole religion or philosophy around that single piece . And not only that, as more people come along and and pick one piece each, they all declare they have the only truth and then they inexplicably start battling each other for supremacy over who has the real truth, the whole mirror, not knowing that they all they only have in their possession is only a piece of the broken mirror each. They shout, curse, judge, maim, kill and destroy each other over who owns the only truth when they are all holding only parts of the whole mirror, the whole truth. Is that not madness borne of ignorance? Is that not insanity in it's most extreme form? You will find such madness going on here on nairaland religion forum. It can be truly hilarious sometimes to watch people argue on whose piece of broken mirror is the whole mirror!Hahaha!

To ever get close to the "truth" a man needs a vastly open mind, a vast consciousness, and not a caged and narrow mind that causes nothing but a very very very limited tunnel vision.

I know but what if I tell you that when I was 12, I started praying the Rosary. My parents were under divorce, and constantly fighting and beating each other. .  My father had an affair, I get bullied in school cause I was different, my sister always beats me up if I dont do whatever she wants me to do, my brother constanly mollested me and when I tell my mom about it, she kicks me out of the house and beat me up. My grandmother is a sexist that she keeps mocking me that I should not go to school and I should do this and that, my aunts and uncles are continously comparing me with their daughters and son calling me dump and all. . . My cousin brother whom was 11 years older than me mollested me and he almost r. . .a. . .p.e me but I thank God sumthin happen that day which causes the act to stop. Imagine at that age, what will a teenager do if she undergoes all of that at one go?

U know, I prayed every single day 3 times a day on the Rosary. A voice told me that everything is going to be okay. (It could be me saying it but anyways!) Everytime I pray the Rosary, it lifted up my spirit and my inner soul and I was literally feeling at peace. And since than I kept having dreams about Mother Mary. She would tell me of things which I should do and should not do and constantly reminding me that everything was going to be okay. I go to church and saw Mother Mary and continue praying to her. I prayed for my parents to not fight and my dad to not have an affair. I prayed for the courage to stood up to my siblings and cousin brother and give them a piece of my wrath not to bother me anymore and to shine in school and do what I do best.

Guess what happen?. . . . I wouldnt be what I should have been without Mother Mary's blessing.

Thats why I said earlier, have people ever stop and think on why a person behave as such?

I dont want to mention all of these nasty past memories but I feel really sad Mother Mary is not being treated as importantly since she has done many great things and she has helped me through my pain.

Streetwize is not saying that he is correct (although he believes he is correct), he is only saying SOMEONE is correct. Maybe it's the Muslims, maybe it's the Christians, Maybe its the Zoroastrians. Somebody is correct. They can't ALL be correct because their pre-requisities are different, their concepts of God are different, etc.

E.g. You mentioned a Satanist, and at the same time Catholics. They can't definitely both be right!!! 

We can't really relate it to human beings and races, I think, because behind every skin color, we still have the exact same organs and the same blood. Even the same skin types. It's not so with religion.

I get his point but you both are missing my point here. I did not say that all religions are right and wrong either.

1) I was commenting on the part where he says that he sees Christianity as the Truth and that Christianity is 2+2=4 while the rest is 2+2=5. Please do not misunderstood me. Im just pointing out that this is not correct because this is in a form of judging.

2) Are you trying to say that among all the religions, there is one right and the rest are wrong? Pleaseee. . . I am only human and who am I to judge which religion is right and which is wrong? Thats what Im trying to say. The reason why there are wars and discrimination on earth its because people tend to judge and compare on which religion is better.

3) I am a Catholic and I pray to the Catholic but I dont think its wrong to get to understand and know of other religion or simple, a basic respect for other religion is not that bad after all.

4) I did not say Satanism is good nor have I stated it is bad cause I mentioned earlier that who am I to judge when I dont know what is really going on within a society. I only mentioned that my friend whom worships Satan seem to have a good character compare to many other people I know. Thats it. There is no where in that context did I mention that Satanism is good or bad.

5) Someone has to be correct? Like how can you say that? I dont agree. lets say we have all identified that the Muslim is the Correct religion <<< EXAMPLE! and all the other religion is wrong. Does it mean that in the Chirstian faith when the church teaches us not to steal, not to kill, not to commit adultery is wrong? That is why I disagree with what he have to say because in every religion, theres no such thing as a 100% pure truth. Every religion has its goods and bads. Theres no such thing as a single religion which is the truth and the ONLY good one.

                                     b) you do not know which religion gives the right account of him

Gabry assuming you haven't been to Australia. do you know that Australia exists?? no bcuz knowledge comes from direct testimony to an event or fact, all you can do is believe that the testimony of those who tell you that Australia exists is true, or that the television isn't showing you a computer generated image and so on and so forth. . . you build your belief that there is an Australia due to evidence gathered that may substantiate the claim

I will present 1 or 2 logical points
Firstly the bible: The most consistent text, written by a host of scholars, disciples, prophets who lived in so many different eras and yet contains no major discrepancies, which means that these men managed to give the same account of God.
You can see the bible as many different texts which give the same account of God!!! what could be more convincing

Prophecies: The biblical prophecies given in the texts by Isaiah and Jeremiah and other prophets of the bible which came to pass point to a divine source of information. I will advise you to get on google and read the prophecies of the bible, how they came to pass etc etc, they are numerous.

Evidence for the existence of Jesus christ and his workings as portrayed by the new testament is abundant. .

Even evidence from non-biblical sources about Jesus of nazareth, I would try to get you the link later, but I read about a historian that worked on i think a high ranking soldier or emperor that lived in the times of christ and his storie justify Jesus of Nazareth, his work and the fact that he was extremely great. . .

Even numerous scientific facts are pre-exposed in the word of God. Hosea or som1 prophesied the coming of cars!! etc etc etc this is all avidence evidence evidence, that the bible is. .  truth and the word of God. . . no other religious text can even begin to compare to it. .  I suggest you study articles about authentication of the bible.

Also its impact on civilization, mainly the fact that morality is mostly dictated by its laws and admonishments. .  come on
The bible's test of time, how many years and its still one of the best selling books in the world. mehn If any of the religious texts were supernatural wont the obvious choice be this one

Whatever link you pocess to show about Christianity, I get it. Its there but you failed to realize that other religions also have their own sources.

All Im trying to tell you is that you shouldnt be so ignorant to only think that your religion is the only religion which is the truth and you should respect other religion cause other people whom worships other religion also see the truth in their own religion. 1) I didnt say all religion are good. I said Most of the religions at least teaches us to be good (not steal, not kill and etc).

2) I did not say that Jesus was not worthy of doing great things nor have I judge on him and because of that Im also telling you not to judge of others because other religions also have their own prophet or followers whom have done great things on this earth. As I have said b4, I believ xtainity is the truth and in fact unlike any other christain would have done I did not even admonish u to do the same. .

I will also reiterate that I do not discriminate amongst other religions, I have friends that hav difft religious backgrounds, but I will never be Ignorant enough to say that they are all right. Som1 is right. . . and you better get your head around that.

Im giving you a statement about Africans and other races its because you are giving me a talk on colours of a cloth which also has nothing to do with my topic. How can you ask someone on which of these accounts of God is true? Who knows what is true? If I know what is the real truth, I would be God by now. That is the reason why we have so many religions today. I admire you for looking up solely on Christianity and seeing the truth in it but all Im saying is that its not right for you to only think that Christianity is the truth. If it is, everyone would be a Christian by now. Im also not saying that Christianity is wrong as well.

The only time I can know what is the truth is when God comes down and show me whats the truth. Other than that, whatever is good for myself, I would take it in like a good knowledge.

To a muslim, 2+2=5 would be christianity or hinduism or buddhism or taoism or judaism. In other words, all religious ideologies, no matter in what cloak they are wrapped in, are all 2+2=5. It all depends on from whose perspective is the equation viewed. Catch my drift?
