Hi Negro Ntns,

Thank you for your detailed response. Ok, I understand now so that means in Nigeria, when a guy calls his girlfriend mom, its actually a meaningful and deep one but for Malaysians, its an insult but I think as long as he meant well, than it should be okay. smiley

Thanks, I really appreciate it.

The guy is being selfish. . . . . Not every wife would like to be a housewife and to depend on their husband's salary. For us malaysians, husband or no husband, trust or no trust, we have to work our Butts off afraid of what the coming future would hold for us. Imagine if we suddenly out of nowhere our husband died or dump us, where would we go and what would we do if we dont have our own savings? We must always be prepared no matter what

tngtech ,
Well, before he cooks for the week, we would go through what to eat for that entire week and then we would buy groceries together. Before he cooks, I prepare everything so that he just chuck it in the pot to cook (I cut and clean all meat/seafood, vegetables) so when he comes to the kitche, everything is ready for him to cook. When he is cooking, I set the table ready for meals. And then after that, all the pots and pans which he use, I will wash it while when he finish cook, he will serve it on the table. After we eat, he will wash all the dishes while I sweep and mop floor then when we both are done, I would pat his couch to give it volume and he makes tea for us to drink and watch TV.

The rest of the chores, its as long as this but thats how we've been working.
Romance › Re: Is It Normal For Nigerian Men To Call Their Girlfriends "Mom"? by Gabry(op): 2:15pm On Jun 14, 2008
Yes tngtech,
I agree with you thats why todays generation, most of us are spoilt and cant really do the housork except me  grin My mom is a Tiger and my dad will leave us to rot untill the day we can stand our own feet but the normal average parents here would usually hire a maid to do house chores or usually the mother woul do for the sons and the father would do for the daughters. Thats very normal.

Well I did and had been telling him to stop but he says that its normal in Nigeria and that he likes calling me that. Come to think of it, I think he should be my mother. . .  undecided He cooks, he cleans, he do laundry, he do house chores. . .  He'll be like the perfect mom.

Jenny,
HAHAHA! grin

No Beauteous,
Cause in Malaysia, every mothers would do chores and laundry for their sons. Its a natural thing. My boyfriend does not ask me to do anything, its just that when he calls me mom, it reminded me of doing chores.
