bjbukzy: From all i can see which i believe is visible, apc lagos made sure all members of the party beneffjted one way or the other! D grassroots low level party members were given licence to operate psp lawma (ambode cancelled and gave it to visionscape), brt was a partnership with mid level party members, technocrats who were politically aware(ambode cancelled also and made blue brt the only stand alone), then the party members that are foot soldiers were either employed as street sweepers and other menial jobs, or given administrative duty( that one also he privatised). Lastly, refusing to touch fashola project was the killer; the lagos rail system never moved an inch during his 4 yrs. With this, even me wey no be party member no like am again
You see....
You can't survive politics anywhere in the world like this...hard but bitter truth...
collinsfhk: You are wrong bro! Go beyond this and see the handwriting on the wall....
If you are timed enough to go through threads on this Ambo and Tinubu's imbroglio, you'd see how much of an anti-Tinubu and the so-called establishment of godfatherism I have been and still am.
Do not misconstrue my submissions here to mean I am in support of the imposition or trying to bully him into submitting wholly to their whims to the detriment of the general populace of Lagos. No...
A gentleman on here did a bit on how Ambode couldn't be a 100% innocent in all of this yesterday which I read, digested and couldn't agree any less with him.
The honest truth is this...
If Ambode was truly a consummate politician, who played it accordingly and never was locked up to all an sundry as he is widely accused to have done, trust me bro, he'd be having the numbers most especially being an incumbent to humble and demystify Tinubu as it is right now. He wouldn't need to be running from pillar to post as he is presently doing.
Politics is politics, a game of numbers, allies, blocks and follower ship it is. You can't play it all by yourself you'd be muddied up and beaten by those you've ignored for the period your initial term lasted.
Payback time I see this as...
I feel bad and sorry for him though, but it is simply what it is...POLITICKING
I'm truly beginning to believe that there is something inherently not right with Ambode.
An almost 100% gang-up of this nature would be technically impossible for an incumbent Governor who is truly open, approachable and acceptable by all party faithful. It's even difficult to pinpoint anyone standing with him aside from the opposition waiting to capitalize on his misfortune to try exploiting it.
He's apparently not a politician but an administrator.
I feel sorry for him though, but at least he is settled and will live to be referred to as an ex-Governor of Lasgidi.
An election is by the corner and this ashlock has started bleating yet again.
I hope the Kogites wont sit and watch yet another disaster befall them once more even though they seem to have been blessed with one cursed Governor to the other.
Let's hope the Igalas will use their numerical strength once again to send this buffoon out of the government house.
If this news is confirmed to be true, the three civilians should be castrated and dumped at a trash site to bleed and rot out, making themselves useful as manures for whatever plants available there.
The military guy should be geared up in his full military regalia, if possible he should be made to dorn his ceremonial suit and given a VIP ride to the heart of Sambisa. Once there, he should be respectfully led out of the vehicle cuffed hands behind his back and abandoned there all armless.
In no time his mates and brothers will come give him a very rousing welcome to the theatre of dreams.
Useless animals.
They can only flex their muscles with hapless unarmed civilians.
midolian: Well, this is what I feel about the whole Ambode Vs Sanwo-olu thing..
Ambode has to be a terrible person, otherwise the whole world can't be against him. It's too obvious.
Tinubu can't be so powerful to influence the decision of all major stakeholders in Lagos APC in favour of Sanwo-olu.
What makes Ambode's case worse is the support he is getting from the other side. The moment you start receiving praises from the misguided folks, know that your end is near politically.
Very thought provoking and salient submission.
It's just that Tinubu's stranglehold on Lagos seems to be getting overboard.
She's lucky to have escaped with just this, I'm sure the man would have been aiming for the throat.
Why is there no news about her accomplice, Abi dat one body don freeze for morgue...?
Any man sure would have lost it in this case I'm sure but walking away would have been my reaction. No time to check time. When women yakpa for outside?
Na to jejely continue from where she loose and redouble on every before you know it she'd go buy herself a rope, knot it proper into a noose and do the needful by herself.
My kinda ignoring worse pass to murder person set...
No one's blood is worth staining my sweet fine hands with joor...
A Las Vegas woman is reportedly challenging Cristiano Ronaldo over a 2009 legal settlement in which the soccer superstar agreed to pay her $375,000 to keep silent over an alleged sexual assault.
Kathryn Mayorga came forward Friday as the victim of the alleged incident, speaking with German publication Der Spiegel. Claiming that Ronaldo raped her anally at the Palms Place Hotel in Las Vegas, Mayorga is now attempting to void her non-disclosure agreement settlement according to Reuters.
Per Reuters, Ronaldo has denied all of what his lawyers called “blatantly illegal” accusations and reportedly plans to sue Der Spiegel for “an inadmissible reporting of suspicions in the area of privacy.” What Cristiano Ronaldo’s accuser is claiming
Der Spiegel had previously reported on the existence of the settlement and the alleged incident last year, reporting Mayorga under the pseudonym Susan K.
At the time of the alleged rape in 2009, Mayorga was reportedly 25 years old and met Ronaldo in the VIP section of a Las Vegas nightclub. At the time, Ronaldo was well in his prime and nearing a massive £80 million transfer to Real Madrid. Mayorga claimed the following happened in a letter written during her legal battle and confirmed them with Der Spiegel on Friday:
In the letter that she wrote to Ronaldo, K. describes what happened later that night of partying. She writes that she gave him her number. That he called her later and invited her to a party. Afterward, they went to his penthouse. When K. arrived together with a girlfriend, she writes that Ronaldo and his friends climbed into the Jacuzzi. And that he offered her swimwear. She claims that he followed her as she went to change, and that the two kissed. But K. writes that this wasn’t enough for Ronaldo. She writes that she wanted to go back to the others. She continues that he took her and put her on the bed. That she used both hands as she attempted to protect herself. “I screamed NO NO NO NO NO NOOOO over and over I begged you to stop. I was never so scared in my life,” K. writes in the letter.
After it was over, Ronaldo allegedly turned to her again and supposedly said 99 percent of the time he was a good guy, but that he doesn’t know what happened to that 1 percent. That’s what K. writes in her letter.
Mayorga said she has since faced emotional trauma from the incident, a common occurrence with sexual assaults.
“I’ve had like these serious breakdowns,” she told the magazine. “And again, blaming of the rape. And I blame him, and I blame myself for signing that thing.” Not Ronaldo’s first rape allegation
Ronaldo had previously been arrested and questioned over allegations in 2005 that he had raped a woman in a London hotel, but that case was eventually abandoned by Scotland Yard due to insufficient evidence. Ronaldo was 20 years old at the time. Why Kathryn Mayorga is now coming forward
Mayorga seems to be facing a massive risk over coming out against Ronaldo, as their non-disclosure agreement reportedly contains clauses obliging her to pay back the $375,000 from the settlement as well as any actual damages caused to Ronaldo according to Der Spiegel.
Despite all that, Mayorga said she had multiple reasons to come out against Ronaldo.
From Deadspin:
Mayorga’s motivation for coming forward with her story now are three-fold. For one, she has been convinced by her lawyer that she can challenge the settlement in court, and she seeks to bring a new suit that would finally give her some semblance of the justice she’s long sought. Secondly, she has felt empowered by the Me Too movement and other women’s bravery in naming and standing up to their assailants in sexual assaults. Thirdly, she wants her case to receive public attention to discover if Ronaldo has ever done this to anyone else. “That question never let me go,” Mayorga told Der Spiegel.
Mayorga’s new laywer, Leslie Stovall, has reportedly filed suit in Nevada to void the agreement, claiming that it shouldn’t be legally binding due to the terms allegedly impeding a possible criminal investigation, the settlement failing to take into account Mayorga’s learning disabilities and the mental trauma Mayorga faced after the incident that could have affected her decision-making. He also claims that he has documents implying that Ronaldo violated the agreement by never actually reading Mayorga’s letter as negotiated.
Scary stuff to witness right there meehn...but a lovely experience when you behold the baby in your hands afterwards. Very gratifying and fulfilling.
I had a first-hand experience of it when one of the girls in my entourage on our road trip to Europe had gone into an emergency labour in the middle of the desert.
Everyone else had scampered in fright but I had chosen to stay with Christy and help her birth a huge baby boy we later christened Tyson in the desert. Tyson should be a good 18/19-year-old young man now lol. Nostalgic...
Hope to meet the young man someday and let him know I was his 'mid-wife/husband' in the desert of the Sahel.
The ones on the Plateau and Benue are animals who are clearly undeserving of any presidential or high-powered delegation.
But a single soldier injured and lounging on the presidential wing of the Aso clinic deserves a high-powered delegation to go visit him. They are all gathered around a single soldier's graveside to inter him while these innocent ones are left to be buried en-masse.
What an atrocious injustice and lack of respect for common/innocent citizens.
I blame us still, the chants of sai will still keep ringing out amongst them...
Four-star recruit Shareef O’Neal, the son of basketball hall of famer Shaquille O’Neal, will miss his freshman season at UCLA after doctors discovered a heart ailment, the school announced on Friday.
“Freshman Shareef O’Neal will be sidelined for the 2018-19 season (medical),” UCLA said in a statement. “He will remain enrolled in class and on the men’s basketball team during this redshirt year. The UCLA men’s basketball program completely supports Shareef and his family as he gets this issue resolved.”
In an interview with TMZ Sports, the 18-year-old said he was undergoing a routine physical when doctors discovered the undisclosed medical issue. He will undergo heart surgery “in the near future.”
“Thank God the UCLA medical staff caught it early,” Shareef O’Neal added.
O’Neal told TMZ Sports that he plans to return to basketball in 2019 after redshirting his freshman campaign, and he will attend classes at UCLA in the meantime.
One of five top-100 recruits in UCLA’s 2018 recruiting class, O’Neal averaged 27 points per game as a prep senior, leading Windward School in Los Angeles to California’s Division II state championship. The 6-foot-9 power forward is believed to have NBA potential.
They'd better zipped it up before what happened in 1974 that drove me into deciding to trek to Europe to help sort my multitude of siblings happened to these kids.
