Olodo, 25% in Abuja ko, 80% in Awka ni. Nairaland is full of all kinds of numbskulls with all kinds of wild tales.
A president has been fairly and duly elected regardless of whether you are sulking or not. Wait for the court judgment for your final humiliation.
Numbskull.

You'll soon call me Ipob or Obidient.

The dumbest comment of all. Lagos is by far more diverse than Abuja, why do you just conduct the election in Lagos? The notion that a vote casted in Abuja is more important than a vote casted in some obscure village in Ekiti is not only ridiculous but an assault on the fundamental rights of Nigerians not living in Abuja.
Empty skull.

What fundamental rights have you as a Nigerian when your leaders get selected and not elected through your casted vote.

If the drafters of that particular phrase were as dumb as you were they would have phrased it as "25% in 2/3 of the 36 States and Lagos or your Ekiti.

Nonsense.

Not really but you echoed all l have said several times on this forum and l was called unpatriotic, everything you wrote down is the truth and nothing but the Truth, Nigeria as a country is gone, Patriotic citizens can keep on been pessimistic, that is why you see the massive movement of Nigerians to the Western world sad
It is baffling how these glaring facts are invisible to so many.

As we speak, even the well-offs in the run-down enterprise aren't truly well-off in the real sense of it.

How dem wan take enjoy their money/wealth in the midst of the impoverished without exposing or setting up themselves for robbing, kidnapping, or outright assassination?

This is how bad and scary the reality has become.

If you dey well-off now na to just enter coding mode for security reasons.

Nigeria isn't a country and shouldn't be regarded as one from the way it is presently set up.

Know this and know peace by saving yourself any headaches about it until we are all prepared to do the needful, which is a bloody revolution to take care of the enemies of the state and citizens before starting afresh on a clean slate. That is, after determining if the country should remain one or split along regional, ethnic, or religious lines.

This one na by force marriage wey no dey last or progress.

Anyone who truly has a functional grey matter enclosed within his/her skull shouldn't have to wait for chatgpt to convince them of this fact.

How does one rule a democratic and ethnically/religious/culturally diverse country as Nigeria without acceptance or getting voted for by a good percentage of citizens resident at the center that seeks/proposes to unify the individual states?

The slogan/nickname for FCT is "the center of unity" for a reason and the authors of that particular phrase in the constitution or electoral act sneaked it in there for a reason.

FCT is the melting pot of the nation and whoever seeks to Preside over the nation needs to appear to have gained a good percentage of acceptability from this "mini Nigeria" except under military rule.

The melting pot/mini Nigeria status was what attracted many to Lagos when it was still the Capital and up until today bar this special 25% status.

Always about self and what they seek to gain over the good of the whole.

Education › Re: Reno Compares Nigerian Universities' Tuition Cost With That Of Other Countries by gaby(m): 2:56pm On Jul 23, 2023
Throwback:
OK.

We know things are cheap here.

Truth is we have become used to paying next to nothing for everything.

From house maids and other domestic servants, to fees we pay artisans doing plumbing or carpentary work etc.

We should improve the standard of our education, so that Nigerians who are ready to pay thousands of dollars abroad can come back to pay similar amount within the Nigerian education system.

The only thing I would plead for is that firstly, loans should be available for those who want a university education but cannot afford it. And I believe that has already been signed into law.

Secondly, their should be enough local scholarships to aid very brilliant students who cannot afford it. All the Nigerian entities should stop all foreign scholarships and focus on local scholarships within the soon to be costly tertiary education in Nigeria.

Enough of cheap but worthless education.

Enough of subsidizing education for Nigerians who want to go work abroad with colleagues who themselves are using their salary to repay loans they took to have an education.

We should stop subsidizing the work force of developed countries.
I don't think granting loans for education in a country where graduates are churned out by the minute to no jobs should come before creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive and create employment for these "loan graduates".

We need to stop putting the cart before the horses at all times.

First things, first.

You give educational loan, person finish school no work, where the loan repayment wan come from?

Make we jeje dey copy wetin we fit carry and sustain or build from the ground up.
Politics › Re: 4 Governors, Wike, Attend Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem Son’s Memorial by gaby(m):
Only in Nigeria.

Why would one believe a joke where the judiciary has basically gone to the dogs and regard/believe it for a country in the true meaning of that word?

The majority still don't understand or see the fact that Nigeria isn't a country and is at best, long dead, and the burial arrangements are what is currently being done.

Bring Jesus oh, Muhammed oh, they'd all hands off governing the country as it is presently setup so as not to defile their names and images. If in doubt, get referred to individuals who had flourishing careers and thought they could make a change in the polity via their service e.g. the Ngozis, Kachikwus, the Minister of Investment, or something under GEJs administration whose name I can't recall (Olusegun or so) and so many others like them. These guys regretted I am sure and still reeling from getting involved in the mess called Nigerian politics.

To get an idea of how decrepit the country has sunk, just put yourself in the shoes of one to Preside over it. Now, ask yourself, "Where do I start from in correcting the ills without appearing to be marginalizing a part of the whole? How do I confront the national saboteurs, the majority of whom are domiciled within the corridors of power, masquerading as politicians and civil servants? How about those resident within the various armed forces? Then throw into the mix "the massive religious, ethnic, and tribal divide and lack of trust/respect for one another" among the citizens.

The ishhh is massive and troubling.

Tinubu go soon gladly handover having realized the enormity of the wahala called Nigeria.

For those shouting and believing Peter Obi can cause any magic to happen " Make una just dey play". Country wey retired Generals wey get some dictatorial tendencies inherent in them no fit see light because of resident demonic saboteurs na him una dey believe say one Peter, particularly from a minority zone go come successfully change.

You guys need to get realistic and face the hard truth. It always ever helps to be realistic and less expectant. That way, you don't get your frail hearts shattered to bits.

Nigeria as it is presently "contrapted" and designed is impossible to govern to prosperity under the roguish and foul nonsense regarded as a "constitution and system of government".

This isn't pessimism, hate for country, or any one person/candidate, it is the truth and reality.
