The thing tire me, I tell u. It's completely unacceptable. One time someone stole my Sumo and ran away. I traced him all the way to where he was hiding and on confirmation went and reported to the police. The officer I met demanded for all types of money from me. I go open file with 1500, then write statement with 2k. After that u now give him 10k for fuel and transportation plus 15k for him and his guys to drink. I just told him I'll come back but I left and I no return.

But the Nigerian police is indirectly supporting evil. How can a victim be told to forfeit the matter because she'll end up spending more if she pursues it? This morally wrong. Whatever happened to arresting the culprit and charging him to court. If he did the crime, then he alone should be responsible for any expenses incurred in the process of getting him arrested.
