YourNemesis: So, exactly what will you gain from the high muslim population in any Yoruba state? Shey na muslim population go put money for ur pocket?
Osun and Oyo are Muslim majority, but it is not an absolute majority the kind you find in the North. The muslim majority there is in the zone of 55-45, 53-47 that kind of thing.
Ondo and Ekiti are very christian dominant like 80-20-, 90-10 or similar.
Ogun is a Christian majority similar to the Muslim majority in Osun and Oyo.
Lagos INDIGENES are originally majority muslim, HOWEVER A LOT of them have converted, and when I say a lot, I mean a lot. Add influx of other Yoruba christians, plus other Nigerians, today Lagos is nothing less than 70% Christian.
Kogi Yorubas (Okuns) are a dominant Christian community, at least 80% Christian.
Kwara is 70% Muslim 30% christian and is the only state where you will find anything that bears any semblance with the north, though still not as lopsided with a strong christian minority.
At the end of the day, BOTH religions are FOREIGN to us Yorubas, so why should anyone waste their times trying to defend them.... Food for thought. I laughed at your assumptions. Lagos 70% Christians, is it because of the mushroom churches scattered around nooks and crannies of Lagos . ileya is nearby, come and experience how Lagos would be deserted. Ogun state is not majorly Christians. I grew up among the Ijebus and Abeokuta people. If Muslims are dominant in Ogun state, why is their Ojude Oba always held 3rd day after Ileya. Quit assuming. The Christians started this mess, let the Muslims take their pound of flesh. The two religion are foreign to Yoruba land, sorry bro my ancestors don't worship deities, I don't know about yours. |

OBAGADAFFI: OYO and Kwara got more Muslims than Christians.
Ondo and Ekiti got more Christians than Muslims.
Lagos, Ogun and Osun is 50-50. haha... Muslims has higher population in Osun, Ogun and Lagos state. It is not 50-50. |

From all the past Oba of Lagos, they are mostly muslims. |

trenlog: You are talking out of ignorance, what of Oyo, Osun, Kwara and Ogun? Even Lagos has more Muslim who are indigenes of the state more than Christians. Nice one, the states in Yoruba land that has low muslim population are Ondo and Ekiti state. |

aisammy4: He who Allah has guided can never be mislead and he who Allah has misguided can never be led to the right path.
Haven't you seen Allah's sign around you? I'll give a typical example. There is a tree inside a mosque compound in Ikeja Cantonment Lagos, Nigeria grown with Allah's sign crested on it. I have seen it with my own eyes. It should still be there by Allah's grace.
Haven't you seen the sign of Allah around the world? In fishes, pieces of fruits, meat, eggs, on rocks, tree that Allah's sign is naturally crested on? Don't mind that guy. He is just confused. May Allah guide him back to Islam. |

omojeesu: I very much do to.
Islam has presented itself as a religion for men only where women are less rated.
May the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia grant them more freedom like Egypt and Turkey, even Iran and Pakistan. haha... you make me laugh. If we are looking for a religion that protects women, it is Islam. It is only in Islam women do inherit her father or husband's property. It is only in Islam women are allowed to use her father's name after she is married till she dies. It is only in Islam women dressed in a modest. It is only in Islam women aren't use for sex object like modelling or strippers. For your info not only muslim women do dress like that. The orthodox jewish women do dress like that too. The lady in the 3rd pics is an American representing her country US. You can Google her name "Ibtihaj Muhammad.

EMMAUGOH: Biko they should encourage Muslims to arrange their own Olympics where they can cover their eyes in the name of decency. I smell in years to come their killing mofos will want to start bombing olympics ground because they want all atleats to dress like them.
Am a Christian,in as much as I support decency, I also believe that what belongs to ceaser should be given to him. U can't have it all in the Name of Religion. Even God knows that, that's why when the people requested for a king in the bible. God hath no choice than to allow the people have their way and thats how it done till date.. That is in your christianity. We muslims won't support any culture or activities that negate our religion. |

Orikinla: Majority of Muslims need more knowledge. Hijab was never an Islamic dress code. The hijab has been in existence before Islam. Muslims misunderstand and misuse facts of history from Genesis to Revelation.. You are the one that needs more knowledge. Everything has been explained in the Quran how our women should dress. Check out non-muslim women in purdah. God has order women to cover their body. Not moving around unclad

Education › Re: Most Overhyped Courses In Nigeria,the FACT!!!! by Gaddafithe2nd(m): 11:10pm On Aug 09, 2016 |
ITbomb: Petroleum Engineering should take the title as the most hyped Engineering courses.
If I have my way, it should be a post graduate course only. Any engineer (most especially Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical) can turn into a Petroleum engineer with just some few professional courses and hours on the rig and performs much better than a first degree Petroleum engineer Mr. man you know nothing about petroleum engineering. From your comment you think petroleum engineering is limited to drilling. If I may ask you, tell me the branches of petroleum engineering, you will only say drilling engineering. In Petroleum Engineering we have, 1. Reservoir Engineering 2. Production Engineering 3. Drilling Engineering 4. Petroleum economist 5. Well formation evaluator 6. Completion Engineering 7. Artificial lift Though, oil companies in Nigeria do convert mechanical and co to drilling engineers but for others aspect of petroleum engineering they can't give you the job because you don't have the foundation. In Standford, Alberta, King Fahd university of petroleum and top universities in the world, petroleum engineering is studied in both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Next time, stick to what you studied. |

Jorussia: I think you are right. The reason my chemistry was on outstanding was because the WAEC supervisor caught people cheating in my center. The man demanded for 50k as bribe when he arrived to conduct the exam for us.the proprietor of my school arrogantly told him he can't pay 50k and the supervisor felt insulted and decided that we must write the chemistry without malpractice. They begged the man with the 50k he initially asked he refused and decided that no malpractice to punish my proprietor for insulting him.Everybody had to write the exam on his own,he wrote cheating in the scripts of more 50 candidates in my center.I am very good in chemistry so i nv really needed assistance.I was the only person that passed chemistry (b3) among the over 140 candidates that sat for that exam. Congrats bro. Next is to enter university and do well. Best of luck. |

But to my chagrin,my Literature-in-English result displayed OUTSTANDING. Please when will my result be released?
I initially thought it meant I did excellent since Literature is my best subject and i'm kinda genius in it.
Please reply with helpful answers, when usually are these OUTSTANDING stuff released? Check back in 2 or 3 months time. Your result would be released. Back then in 2007, Ihad same issue with my biology, after 2months they released it. Just relax |

rexben: The difference between disciple and a Christian. A disciple is a follower or student. Christian is a person that claims to follow Jesus. If your question was what is the difference between a disciple of Jesus and a Christian? A disciple of Jesus follows and obeys the commandments and teachings of Jesus. A Christian claims to follow Jesus but he follow Paul instead. Christians are disciples of Paul. Acts 11:26 You nailed it. Christians aren't followers of Christ but the follower of a deceitful Paul. |

As for the 87 actors and actresses who who raised 1.2M, una well done. I know one of them who lives in a rented apartment and pays rent of about 4M per year.
Hypocrisy and eye-service everywhere! 4M Naira per annum for rent, that is craziness. That would do something tangible on a plot of land in Ikorodu. |
