Also, I find it your own private interpretation that the vast majority of those who will rebel against Christ are unbelievers afraid to challenge Christ's millennial reign. The Bible never said so. They will be "deceived" is what the Bible clearly says.. Satan tempts them and they fall.. Hitherto innocent Adam and Eve wanted more than what God offered and so were deceived in Eden.. same would apply to those who Satan will deceive after the millennial reign.. Their own idea of what life on Earth should be would be different from what Christ offers.. that's the crux.. Lastly, it seems you would have me believe that the great apostle Paul was not one of the elect because he clearly stated that it was indeed possible for him to be a cast away! Anyone and everyone who thinketh he standeth but doesn't take heed, will fall and be a castaway.. no immunity for some.. I therefore disagree with your interpretation of Matthew 24:24. p.s. I must however add that God in his sovereign will, will not permit some souls to be lost. Not because they are more faithful than other christians.. God alone knows the reason. That is why God himself will fight some sinners and make their lives a living hell until they give their lives to Christ.. They may end up getting to God's kingdom the "beggar Lazarus style", but God won't allow their souls to be lost.. some may even not bear any real fruits or do anything of note for Christ but God will not let them be lost.. to however say these ones alone are the elect and those who were mightily used, bore fruits and did great exploits for God yet eventually fell and died almost immediately, were never part of the elect just because they were lost is not correct
I agree with you, If the mark of the beast is something that's clear to people, no one will receive it, no one will chose evil for himself/herself.

Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.
Right from the very day Jesus was conceived in His mother's womb, to the day of His baptism, Jesus had the spiritual potential to do great and mighty works, because the Holy Ghost had been upon Him from the onset, and His alighting upon Him after baptism was just a confirmation of that. Luke 1:35, 41.
However it wasn't until He had fasted for forty days and forty nights that His spiritual potential to do those great and mighty works was unlocked.
Luke 4:1-2 (KJV)
"And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered."
Luke 4:13-14 (KJV)
"And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season. And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about."
So Jesus left Galilee with just the potential of the Spirit, but after fasting, He returned in the power of the Spirit, because His spiritual potential had been unlocked. That's the reason His fame spread abroad.
Matthew 4:24-25 (KJV)
And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them. And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan.
Jesus also gave His disciples power to do great and mighty works of God, but there came a point where their limitation to do such extent of works was exposed by a devil which they couldn't cast out.
Mark 9:17-18 (KJV)
And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit; And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.
But when the same devil was brought to Jesus, He was able to cast it out.
Matthew 17:18 (KJV)
And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.
When the disciples asked Jesus why they couldn't cast the devil out just like He did, Jesus said:
"This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting." {Mark 9:29}
So the reason the disciples were unable to cast out the devil as Jesus had done, was because their spiritual potential to do such works had not been unlocked by fasting.
And Jesus who was able to do those kinds of work that cannot be unlocked but by prayer and fasting, showed by His response to the tempter during His temptations, that the main purpose of fasting was to help one to be obedient to God's Word and not to fall into temptations. Therefore the unlocking of someone's potential to do the kind of great works that Jesus did was tied to that of not falling into temptation, hence the great works that Jesus was able to do was after He had overcome the temptations of the devil.
Therefore to do the kind of great works that Jesus did and even greater works as He said, you also need to get to the level of obedience of God's Word that Jesus was.
Hence fasting unlocks your spiritual potential to do the kind of great works which Jesus did, by helping you overcome the kind of temptations Jesus overcame to get you to the level of obedience that Jesus walked.
