For those calling the lawyer all sorts of name, my take is that lawyers are social engineers. Such cases as his are called public interest cases and you do it not only for yourself but for the betterment of the larger society. Examples of such lawyers abound from Gani Fawehinmi to Tunji Braithwaite to Olisa Agbakoba etc.

Such cases make government become more alive to its responsibilities. Its unfair to label him a hungry or charge and bail lawyer simply because he instituted public interest litigation.

It is left for the government to defend itself by showing what it did or is doing to ameliorate the situation complained of .

BTW, thank God he is not Igbo, otherwise the kind of vitriol that would have been poured on that tribe today eeh. Enemies of progress... Igbo man don collect Money

1. Who eradicated crimes and criminality to the barest minimum in Anambra State within 6 months.
2. Whom inherited not less than 10,000 newly employed in the state civil service, yet all were retained and he has been paying salaries as and when due when others are owing.
2b. Even with the economic crunch, recruitment exercise was just concluded in the state judiciary.
3. Who inherited countless number of rural roads from the former administration, yet none was abandoned.
4. Who continues the Amawbia - Amamsea Expressway reconstruction started by the last administration but added 3 gigantic flyover bridges to the project
5. Who is bringing our dreams of having am airport to reality by creating 4 dual carriageways to same and yet the consultancy contract for the airport is ongoing

My dear, give Nigeria a million years, it has no mekwatalism. A nation where someone that scored 4/200 in Zamfara is given admission in place of someone from Anambra that scored 139/200 can never be my ideal country.

Igbos has sacrificed way too much for this country and are ready to do more but the point is that it takes only a madman to keep doing the same thing the same way and expecting different results.

Fvck all the properties I have wherever if that is what it takes for to really be free. At least I can die in the hope that if my children work hard they will excel in their schools and workplaces.

APC has really displayed their desperation in reaping where they didn't sow. They are not true democrats. They are not sportsman. They won in many states and PDP congratulated them. They lost woefully in Ekiti, Rivers, Akwa Ibom and other states and they are crying over it and trying to instigate crises/violence. This is bad for our democracy.

What's it with this Igbo senate presidency thing? Does it mean the change we were yearning for only has senate presidency in stock for the Igbo?

Please I careless about an Igbo being a senate president just the same way Yoruba would have voted for GEJ's reelection with or without them having their own as the speaker of the HOR if he had performed.

By the way, the North had VP, Senate presidency, speakers of House of Representatives, Chief Justice of Nigeria etc. etc yet voted overwhelmingly against GEJ showing that these positions are not and cannot replace the dividend of democracy.

If actually Obiano wrote that address, then he has not fully understood the politics of Anambra. I mean which court was he expecting to overturn the fact that PDP won. The election that brought him to power was bad enough that even a candidate (Nwoye) had his name removed from the voters register 2weeks to that election. Or was the INEC crooks who shared N60 million just to frustrate Idemili North voters not enough evidence

My friend, not finding a candidates name in the voters register is not enough to cancel an election. There is the doctrine of substantial compliance. And once it is shown that the election substantially complies with the electoral act, the election will be sanctioned by the court.

This is moreso when Nwoye and Ngige were seeking the cancellation of the entire election. Cancellation of elections is not done for just any flimsy reason because it is based mainly on proof of criminal allegations beyond reasonable doubts which is usually difficult and of public policy issues (such like the expenditure that goes into the conduct of elections) see Eze vs Okolagu, Buhari vs Yar Adua, Akeredolu vs Mimiko, Chime vs Ezea etc

This is quite different from the instant case where results collated were rewritten and different scores awarded to the candidates different from what was obtained at the polling stations.

The APGA candidates will of course not seek the cancellation of the entire election ( which is more difficult) but will seek the subtraction of the unlawful votes credited to the other candidate and for the court to declare him the winner afterwards. See Peter Obi vs INEC, Mimiko vs INEC, Aregbesola vs Oyinlola, Oshiomhole vs INEC.
