Marriage in Nigeria is becoming very expensive. And looking at the high unemployment rate and the rate at which available jobs pay very low, how many guys can afford the cost of marriage.

My brother is planning on marrying an imo lady, just to collect list is over 50k. The day we went for introduction, the kinsmen where saying that the drink we brought wasn't enough... Just imagine.

The items on the list cost more than 800k, yes it's true that the list is negotiable, but mere looking at it alone is scary.

1. The concept of marriage has been exposed as nonsense.

2. Marriage is mostly for the benefit of women (especially in the West).

3. Usually, a woman (with her nagging) becomes your burden after you marry her.

4. Increasing cost of living and tough economies makes the burden of marriage un-appealing to guys or makes them delay it.

6. Many girls have had so many sexual partners to the point many men see their value as a wife as low, hence limiting the pool of options.

7. You can get all the benefits of marriage from outside marriage, e.g. sex and child, without having to subscribe to the pains of it.
